Business & Money
Review:Very well done and informative for anyone over 30 or 40. Has lots of insight into 'the business' and some thought generating information on different aspects of the Narco trade including sound logic for legalization of cannabis. Not sure I agree with doing so, but the argument has compelling elements. Good read to keep a sense of what is going on in a world that is different from mine specially if you have teens or kids in their 20's. Read more
Review:The writer is from South Korea (or his parent). He gave a different perspective regarding copy right issues, corruption in developing countires. He wrote that corruption is a means for developing countries to move ahead. Poor system of taxation and resources redistribution prompt lowly paid civil servants to collect "tax".
He also blame the World organisations for doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. Read more
Review:Connie, a Hispanic woman, lives in New York and experiences many hardships in her life. Claud, her blind husband, dies which leads to Connie drinking and eventually abusing her daughter, Angelina.
Dolly, her niece, is associated with a pimp named Geraldo. He treats Dolly like a prostitute and Connie despises him. Review:It seems this book was written as a compilation from different sources. It is not coherent and very high level. Personally I found it useless and not worth the cost. After I bought it, I went through it in about half an hour and then put it aside.
The overall message is common wisdom that we have heard, practiced or read before. There is nothing new or intriguing.
It seems everyone is getting, these days, into the habit of putting together books that are superficial just to create... Read more
Review:I had a Grandfather that worked at Bell Labs from the early 50's through the 80's. He does not talk much about his time there but with the little I did know of his career at the Labs I was intrigued being a IT professional myself. When I heard of this book I bought it right away and breezed through it in no time. The history of the Labs is the starting point of everything we have today from any electronic device we use to Cellular technology (cell phone networks) and military technology such ... Read more
Review:There is just one or two (not new) interesting concepts in this book and on top of it, the author could have captured them all in a few pages only. There was not really a good reason to write a this book except for letting us know how incredible IDEO is.
In comparison, "Ten faces of Innovation" is much more informative. Both books are easy to read and entertaining, but lack pragmatic advice. If you have to choose one of them, read "ten faces" only. Read more
Review:His system is solid marketing for his specific circumstances, I'll grant. That doesn't mean it will work for you or even apply remotely to your situation. When one of the major cornerstones of his plan's success is to already have four-to-eight books available, that right there cuts out the majority of self-publishers. I can't daisy-chain my marketing and reviews and book links between my multiple products if I only have one book ready and it takes me longer than his two months to write another ... Read more
Review:I highly recommend this book to anyone. Totally changes your thought process. Grant Cardone is an extremely cool guy. I like how it was easy to read and summed up everything in the end. I've doubled my sales by just reading this book. Powerful stuff. Thanks. Read more
Review:Beautifully written, it reminded me of the Great Gatsby and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. The narrative was gentle and slow, but didn't drag. The characters were genuine and were introduced at a very natural pace. Instead of formulaic, predictable, or forced writing, Nevil Shute produced a touching narrative that flowed very sincerely. The premise was realistic and heart-wrenching and I just thoroughly enjoyed the book. Read more
Review:I got this ebook through Amazon and I recommend that everyone read this from high school throughout adulthood. Amazon is a great option for purchasing this and the Amazon Kindle version is a small investment for nuggets of wisdom that will shape one's life. Read more
