I took a course on design thinking at the University of Kentucky a couple years ago and it literally changed how I approach everything. This book is a great introduction to help introduce others to design thinking. Using design thinking and finding your "creative confidence" can literally help change the world. The tools in this book are for everyone and the authors make sure to let you know that design is for everyone, not just a select few. If you don't think you are creative or need a little boost, pick up this book and there's no doubt you'll be out designing things in no time!

Bring design thinking ideas into the realm of doing without requiring the "creative gift"!
The academic debates on Design thinking may turned off many from doing design activities which are quite simple and fun and of course extremely rewarding and meaningful as the various real world examples in the book show.

Wonderful book! The whole concept of human centred design is mind blowing to me yet semmingly obviously needed. I wish more industries would adapt to the same thinking, there's so much potential to be reaped.

After 40 years has a public school administrator I feel every school administrator should not only read this book but should study the contents to help our students survive in this 21st-century flat world.

I had found the book online and it seemed interesting. It truly is a great resource and I have found it exceptionally relevant on my life and my line of work (graphic design) it took a bit longer for this item to be delivered, but truly worth the wait.

Lots of books on creative and innovative thinking. This is the best. I loved this book. First it was an easy read. Didn't want to put the book down. Second the stories are real and something we can all learn from. Bought a copy of each of my directors

I just loved this book. Everything they suggest in this book makes sense and resonated with my own experience. So get up and "Just Do It!" Failure is not an outcome but a stepping stone to the success :)

The Kelley brothers don't believe creativity is just an inherited trait and that anyone can learn to become creative. The Kelley brothers explain specific ways to unleash the creative spark in each of us to innovate. For example Chapter 3 is titled SPARK – FROM BLANK PAGE TO INSIGHT. Chapter 4 is titled LEAP – FROM PLANNING TO ACTION.They have many step by step examples and exercises in creativity so anyone can start. Also there are tips, etc. on creating a creative team.
Written by two brothers whose firm, IDEO, has been wildly creative and successful with teams that changed the way we do things and created new products for many businesses and institutions including Apple and Proctor & Gamble.

The overall message is common wisdom that we have heard, practiced or read before. There is nothing new or intriguing.
It seems everyone is getting, these days, into the habit of putting together books that are superficial just to create visibility and sell other services.
Very disappointed. I wish I can get my money back!
