Review:Everyone is so politically correct. Larry just tells you that if you think and take personal responsibility there is no reason not to stand for what you believe in. Be prepared to be looked at funny though. Read more
Review:This CD-ROM is more about the philosophy behind SPIN selling rather than providing you with instructions on HOW to actually sell or use the SPIN system (which is the best thing out there).
If you want the best SPIN book on how to do it, get "The SPIN selling fieldbook" because that will give you actual exercises to do.
The thing I really didn't like about this CD is that there are no tracks on it! So if you want to advance from one part of a CD to another you've got to fast forwar... Read more
Review:If you're into anecdotes and numerous stories as entertainment, great. Unfortunately, very little of his examples illuminated how one goes about discovering talents and passion in work. I find that his sequel fell short of that goal as well. Read more
Review:Totally opened up a world I was unfamiliar with. Amazing picture of the men behind the beginnings of film. The politics involved between competitors is similar to today's politics....the secrets, the lies, the scandal. And in the end, none of it matters. Read more
Review:American Kingpin is a well-written and well-researched book that definitely informs the readers!!!!!! I liked reading this book mainly for the reason that he has a good part but also a part that was exploited by a bad use of technology!!! I would recommend this book to anyone!!! Read more
Review:Reads like a potboiler or thriller: you really feel like YOU ARE THERE during the frantic deliberations which took place as Wall Street threatened to tumble during the Great Recession. As an ex-Wamulian, I ... Read more
Review:Its rare that someone can capture the complicated and sometimes boring world of wall-street's money mongering in a witty and interesting way, but Michael Lewis has done just that. In addition, after reading this book, I feel I have a good understanding of what occurred with the greatest financial disaster of our time. Read more
Review:Shawn Achor is a brilliant guy. His research and work hold both an insightful and refreshing view of the world. I'm a fairly optomistic and hopeful person. His book provided me with an even greater roadmap to a more productive and positive way of life, both at home and in the workplace. Shawn's teachings have inspired me to work on being a "positive genius". There has already been some very real differences in my family life. I'd recommend this book to everyone. It can only improve your life. M... Read more
Review:If you have already read a few self-improvement books, this book does not offer anything new. It is gleaned from well-known concepts and best sellers. I am disappointed at buying this book simply because of the 4-star rating by others. Read more
