How to Craft Your Company's Unique Story to Make Your Products Irresistible
How to Craft Your Company's Unique Story to Make Your Products Irresistible

Review:Overall, the "nuggets" of valuable information could have been presented in about 50 pages, instead of having to wade through 250 pages of rambling. Skip Section 1 entirely unless you're hungry for general theory with virtually no practical application. Chapter 11 on writing and expressing yourself has some useful information. Probably the best part of the book is Appendix 2 which contains 50+ useful starting questions. It would be easy to miss this if I had given up before getting all the w... Read more

How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant
How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant

Review:Highly Recommended for entrepreneurs competing in the global market! This book is a MUST READ for prospective entrepreneurs venturing into a highly competitive industry. As the internet brings the world closer together, so too comes outside competition that might not previously have been a threat. Any new product you come up with, China will make a cheaper version and ship it globally. However, unlike China, we do not have the same access to cheap resources and labor. This book has helped m... Review:The formatting for Kindle of this title is generally poor, with really bad page breaks (or rather, probably none were actually added manually).

But what is unforgivable is the missing graphic on page (8% 293 of 3719)
which is actually supposed to be a chart - which is important to the contents, and is not detailed in the text anywhere else.

For the 4 extra dollars, I'd strongly advise buying the print version, as I assume it won't have missing content!

This is what gives ... Read more

and Win More Customers by Marketing Less - How to Tell a Different Story

Review:In his closing address at Content Marketing World 2013, Joe Pulizzi advised more than 1700 content marketers in attendance to "Try". Like so many elements of content marketing, it's a simple concept to understand but difficult to implement. In his new book, Epic Content Marketing: How to Tell a Different Story, Break through the Clutter, and Win More Customers by Marketing Less, Pulizzi manages to demystify bot... Read more

Review:Though appearing to be dated, there is gold in what he says even in 2014; I just discovered it. No matter the era, I believe people still respond to the art of well written and laid out advertising material in written form. To qualify, he wrote the most successful auto sales copy of all times for Rolls-Royce's in the 50's during hard times. On line material is not covered in the book, of course, but, except for long copy, the same concepts still apply. Along with some other famous copywriting au... Read more

A Step-By-Step Guide To Writing Copy That Sells - The Copywriter's Handbook

Review:Easy to read, but very dated information. Some of the guidance given, for example, regarding email marketing, has been made irrelevant due to laws written after the 2002 publication date (and apparently have not made their way into later editions of the text). Read more

The Surprising Truth About When - and Why It Happens
The Surprising Truth About When - and Why It Happens

Review:I recently read two books on the topic of learning: How We Learn by Benedict Carey (published in 2014) and Learn Better, by Ulrich Boser (published in 2017). Both books focus on techniques that have been shown through scientific experiments to improve a person’s ability to learn or remember new things. This is essentially a review and comparison of both books.

Both are good, and well-written. There is some overlap between them, and interestingly, they disagree with one another on a few... Read more
