Review:I was looking forward to reading Sara's experiences and the things she learned on her journey, but was left feeling annoyed & wishing I had picked a different book for the money I spent. Sara came across as immature in my opinion. I didn't glean any biblical knowledge from this book and would not recommend it to anyone. I kept thinking she was going to expand on her "journey" as the book progressed but instead each chapter was just a new story of some basic lesson. As a busy mom, wife &a... Read more
Review:This has been a great lead into Easter. Jefferson Bethke is writing from a view point only a person who has been given and recognizes a second chance. His youthfulness in his writing brought me back to when I first believed. The enthusiasm and the knowledge pouring out from this writing is contagious. It refreshes the heart and mind and reminds us why we are Gods people. I would suggest this book for everyone. Especially Teenagers and Young Adults, those who are unhappy with their Church and tho... Read more
Review:In the Name of Jesus Henri Nouwen describes what Christo-centric, servant leadership is all about. He states, "Much Christian leadership is exercised by people who do not know how to develop healthy, intimate relationships and have opted for power and control instead." Nouwen's leadership focus is on building God's Kingdom and not our own. The book is very short but is packed full of crucial teachings for current and future leaders. The newest edition features a helpful study guide with abou... Read more

The reference and use of the (NIV) bible will also open the door for others to realize that their are many different ve... Read more

Review:Matthew Kelly shows what differentiates engaged Catholics from the rest, and it s quite simple: Prayer, spiritual reading, generosity, and evangelization. It all starts with prayer, regular daily prayer. Read more
Review:Kelly encourages to be the "best versions" of ourselves, to take control of our lives. He employs a wide variety of techniques to show us how--parables, philosophical reflections, personal confession, appeals to common sense, examples of great famous lives, and "how-to" tips for prayer, meditation, and developing good habits. While I'm not sure he's breaking a lot of new ground, he's easy to understand, intelligent, challenging and persuasive. His values and his suggestions make enormous sens... Read more
Review:This book is a great read. With so many distractions and misleading teachings around us, Matthew Kelly reminds the reader in clear and simple terms how Jesus taught us to live. He gets down to the fundamentals of what it means to be a follower of Jesus, and explains and supports it all through scripture. Excellent! Read more
Review:Mrs. McKinstry weaves a compelling narrative highlighted with excerpts of Dr.King's speeches. While reading her story, I felt like I lived through the Birmingham bombing with her. I had the Kindle version, but bought the hardcopy so I could get her to sign it when she came to Denver. She was a sensitive and peaceful in person as she seemed in her book. Read more
