Review:Full disclosure. I'm nothing resembling a boomer. I was born in 1995. My politics are pretty normal center-left. I agree with some policy prescriptions, and disagree with others the author presents. Most people will feel this way, and it has nothing to do with my review. If reviews permitted me to be more specific, I'd probably give the book 3.75 stars.
When you open the book, you will find a lot of a lot of details, political, economic, and social to back up the arguments the author make... Read more
Review:Back to Work by Bill Clinton
I highly recommend that everyone, who intends to vote in November 2012, read this timely book. If you are a democrat, Clinton has pulled together the best arguments for a proactive government. He is giving you the tools for persuading undecided voters. If you are a republican, you will be a better informed citizen if you listen to both sides of the debate. If you are an independent, you really do hold the future of our country in your hands. It is especially vital... Read more
Review:I was hooked on this series shortly after reading the first few chapters of the initial book. It has been quite a while since I devoured a multi-book series but this was the only course of action I could follow.
I heartily recommend the four-book series! The books are not unlike eating peanuts— once you start, you really can’t stop. Books like these really reinforced my decision to subscribe to Kindle Unlimited. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the next series from these authors. ... Read more
Review:As someone who followed John Kasich's campaign from the very start and voted for him in The North Carolina GOP Primary, I was anxious to pick up this book. Trust me when I say that it doesn't disappoint. Kasich's optimism and hope for America shine through each page, at a time when America's path looks full of doom and gloom, Kasich provides ample reason for Americans to remain optimistic. Read more

Review:Melissa Harris Perry is one of the most prolific and thorough writers and she nailed the presentation of what black women in america think, what they have experienced and how they must be more appreciated in our country and our world. Read more
Review:Provocatively written with a rich reference of data and research, this book is a great example of a neo-Keynesian assessment and critique of the economy.
The central theme of The Price of Inequality: How Today’s Divided Society Engenders Our Future, written by Colombia professor, winner of the Nobel Prize of Economics, and overall economic wizard, is that political and economic forces have shaped and reinforced the extent to which concentration of income at the top is created and protecte... Review:Women In Love is one of the most beautifully written books I have ever read. The author's mastery of the English language is evident on every page.
Women in Love is also one of the most pointless books I have ever read. Sure, there are some very interesting conversations along the way -- but (and a big BUT) everything else smacks of being false and contrived.
Considering its girth, there is very little action in this novel. When there is action it repeatedly springs out of left field. A... Read more
Review:This book encapsulated the nature of the American effort in Afghanistan in the story of COP Keating. It was written at the soldier level and demonstrated both the flaws and the strength of American strategy tactics in a remote area of that country. More importantly, it made clear the valor and determination of soldiers in a remore outpost over a span of several years. One of the long term contributions of Trapper's work was the clear parallel he drew between the war in Afghanistan and previou... Read more
