This first book hooks you right away. It introduces to a cast of characters who ultimately attempts to create a new world... One in which only a select few regimes would control all of humanity ...the authors offer an interesting scenario of how the Islamic Republic builds an create a threating force of anti West participating states... What is really interesting is the emergence of President Stien and his revolutionary vision and implementing a new America... One where everyone is truely treated equally and implements the Constitution as it was written. With tweeks to terms and taxes... A fastinating, easy fast read..once you start you won't want to put down and go onto the next book in the series... Believe me it happened to me...

The authors don't really understand what they're writing about. It's choppy writing, in a style that seems to say "oops we forgot something, let's stick it in parens"; it's kinda obvious when they patch like that. Then, a major premise of world events is $400 oil and world depression. Well, when economies slow down, the price of oil drops: no one corners enough of the world supply to prevent that. And, circa 2032, the new prez is touting fracking for oil independence, when we really already did that by 2011 (book written 2012). Amateur hour wishful thinking is the basis of the writing. Bash liberals, tout patriotism. "We can't build the military that fast" Really? With 10% unemployment? Do they ever READ history? Try WW2 and how fast the US built a military. The authors also don't understand tech acceleration. They're writing for 2032-plus, and that's 20 years from 2012: tech is advancing so fast that the social/tech environment by then won't really look like now, but they only understand "now". Maybe. They throw in robot tanks, but we essentially have that now (AI driving on the streets is a bit harder than "AI goes to war"). Then, they forget to check their writing sequence. They use the "AFC" reference 3 times (over about 5 pages) before finally spelling out "America First Corp". Amateur. Outdated. Wishful. Bash the muslims. It's not future history, it's alternate universe fantasy.

This is a fantastic story
Completely believable. I love the action and the story line. I really do believe the Muslims do in teams to take over the world. Years ago Charles "The Hammer" Martell knew this and stopped them. This story strokes home.

Pulled no punches and really spoke to the politics without apology. Definitely as a Veteran of GWOT, I can relate to the writer and even imagine our future politics will be shaped by veterans of that war. From bullets to politics, this book had it all and I wonder if anyone will take heed from this book.

Not for the faint hearted or liberal snowflake crowd. This is about as politically incorrect as it gets. As a retired US Army officer, I really feel that much of the Islamic behavior in this novel is unfortunately too close to the truth. We are in a "Holy War" initiated by Islamic fundamentalists and funded by the house of Saud. It's certainly not politically correct to state that, but it's the truth.

This is a "Donald Trump" clone except the character has some degree of competence and intelligence. It's Muslim bashing at its worst (or best depending on your degree of bigotry). Waste of time and money.

How many times have you read a review that starts with the sentence " this not my type of book but I enjoyed it ".
Well here goes, this is not my type of book, but it is a book that every American should read, what could happen, what maybe will happen and how we could stop it from happening.
The whole story takes place in the present future. It tells a story of how America is facing another depression and how a new type of president is determined to change how we do our business.
Things are looking good, he has gotten the country off of its backside and make to lazy people work and earn there keep.
Then the idiots start to attack America, buy it and I am sure you will be reading book two as well.

The introduction back story could have been more concise. The shear mass of military equipment being moved was my realistic in the time frames given. That said, the geopolitical setting was okay and the overall battle scenarios worked.

Read it and weep. Almost unbearable action of a scenario you hope remains a "fictional account"!
The style of writing makes reading an act of determination to see what happens next and not be overwhelmed by the numbers thrown around.

James Rosone and Miranda Watson have teamed up to offer a widely compelling and fascinating novel in Prelude to World War III. It’s a realistic, fictional tale that uses much of today’s facts and statistics from international relations between the U.S. and Middle East to take the reader on a very relevant journey into the not so distant future. I was drawn in with each chapter, waiting to find out what would happen next, and felt that I was on the journey with them. Readers who enjoy novels from such authors as Tom Clancy, Khaled Hosseini (one of my absolute favorites), and Vince Flynn are sure to be encapsulated by James Rosone’s story of a not so unrealistic take on where the current events of today might be leading us. Thank you to James and Miranda for your bravery in writing about a topic of such taboo amongst my generation. I enjoyed it!

If you love war stories, this book is definitely for you! Reading the book reminded me of the war game my son and I used to play when he was young. We’d eagerly set up the game board mapping out the world and then for an hour or so, we’d meticulously set out our soldiers, tanks and planes. Then we’d strategize and…the war was on. The author gives us the same play-by-play in his book and for those of us who do not usually read war stories, it was a very easy book to follow and understand. Even though I didn’t guess the surprise ending, I felt like I was watching dominoes being set up and then dreading the point when someone suddenly decides to flick the first one, knowing what would happen. I won’t spoil the plot line but the ending truly is amazing and I wonder now: what’s the point of spending millions of dollars on wars?

It is scary, this book takes place about 40 years in the future, but reads like today's newspaper. This book is not for everyone but if you like the Techno/military/political thriller I think you will enjoy this.

Very well written. It's obvious James Rosone did his homework as he has his facts accurate. The man is also a true American hero as you will find out by reading his book "Interview with a Terrorist" (please read) I did not know that book 3 was not the end and CANNOT wait for the continuing story. I don't watch TV much but read in excess of 100 books a year. This series is at the top. It's hard to put down as the pace keeps you wanting more so if you read on your lunch break, you may not want to finish your day. I hope to contact the author and thank him directly for a job well done, and also thank him for his service to our country.

This is a riveting tale of advanced terrorism that takes the seeds of some of our darkest fears and plants them in the year 2030 to sprout. Death and destruction threatens to impede the futures of all the world powers, especially the United States if it's not soon controlled. Unfortunately, the U.S. is no longer the biggest super power and the militant minorities are now reigning supreme. The author writes with such convincing dialogue that you're drawn down a path that makes you wonder whether this could actually happen with the right sets in place. If you love political fiction you will definitely appreciate the detail that's been given to the plot. This book will have you on edge until the very end and the ending may not be what you expect.

It's ok. Good military action, though a bit fantastic in it's premise. Over the top conservative kind of reminded me of Trump's base - low IQ assumptions of how the world works. The over use of acronyms is a bit over the top, more like a 12 year old in a fantasy military play role. Conservative fantasy but good military action. Characters could use a bit more development, but it did flow well with the pace. Still, the writer's knowledge of military equipment and geography was pretty good. The premise that the Muslim world could ever be brought under one banner is a bit fantastic.

Totally unreal millions of men, hundreds of nukes, simply impossible. The logistics required could never support the scenarios and production rates of modern weapons could not sustain the destruction rates cited.

I heartily recommend the four-book series! The books are not unlike eating peanuts— once you start, you really can’t stop. Books like these really reinforced my decision to subscribe to Kindle Unlimited. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the next series from these authors. So give the World War III series a look. You will be glad you did!
