Review:These postcards are the perfect size for use with fine tip pens (I prefer pens to pencils because they produce more vibrant colors). I can finish a full postcard in a couple of coloring sessions and I love that I can send the finished products to friends and family so that I don't have a stack of colored pages sitting around the house.
I find coloring a relaxing, yet engaging activity, and working through this book has been a great way to wind down after some stressful periods at work.
Review:I had a friend once tell me that he had just read this play and had decided it was overrated. From that point on, I never considered anything he had to say very important. He had pretty much revealed his inner workings and I saw him for the ignoramus he is. I have read this play numerous times, seen play versions with Ralph Richardson and Jack Lemmon playing James Tyrone. It's a beautiful play, a funny play, a play that works one over, and leaves one feeling totally satisfied. If you never reall... Read more
Review:When I saw a cuss word coloring book at such a great price I had to have it and then I had to purchase several others as presents. I love to color to relieve stress and I have a seriously dirty mouth so combining the two I awesome. The cover contains one of my favorite phrases so I had high hopes for the entire book. Some of the phrases are good and then some seem a bit silly. I am not sure what I can or can't say in my review so that is why I am not repeating the words here. The images ha... Read more
Review:My significant other is a fan of these books and wanted this coloring book very much. He loves art, so I bought for his birthday. The pictures are high quality and there are plenty of them. He uses it frequently. I'm pleased with the number of pages, detail of the artwork, and accompanying quotes from the books... but I still found the price to be a bit unreasonable as it IS just a coloring book. I realize GOT is very popular, but I didn't feel like I got an awesome price on this item.
Review:I read the Everyman's Library Glenny Translation.
This is a mixture of the bizarre and the familiar. The writing itself is a bit of both, the story subject is a bit of both and the characters are a bit of both. I thoroughly enjoyed the 'flashbacks' and almost wish the whole story was just those events, but I also enjoyed the chaotic and seemingly random way the modern part of the story developed, not that I even fully understood it all, mayhaps a second read is in order. It is not a di... Read more
Review:This version of play was good and the actors captured the tone of the play well. The actors playing Lady Bracknell, Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew were very good. The male characters were portrayed at an acceptable level but not was good as the female characters. I would recommend this version. Read more
Review:Thank you Oscar Wilde!! I loved reading this book while waiting in line for the Toronto Film Festival movies to start..... I have so many nuggets from my recent indulgence of Oscar Wilde's witty, fun, original, and rhythmical play, "The Importance of Being Earnest".
Every phrase and expression is a thought worth enjoying and applying to our life today. The play on words, the glittering conversation, the unexpected turn of phrases, it's deliciously clever and a classic it remains forever. ... Read more
Review:I should preface this with a confession. I love Amanda Palmer! I was hoping for great things.
Whilst the book couldn't live up to my ridiculous expectations it was a great read. It details not only her music and life but also makes some important points about art, connection and self worth. I highly recommended it. Read more
Review:If you have ever seen Lindsey perform via Youtube or live in concert, this book provides a glimpse into her beginnings, her roots, and her passion. I have seen her live in concert three times in three cities and she never disappoints as a dancer, musician, or as an amazing human being full of drive, passion, and faith. A MUST READ! Read more
Review:After trying to teach myself ukulele with another book, I saw this one recommended on Amazon and bought it. It was very helpful, especially the first accompanying videos: it is much easier to learn chords and strums with a video rather than a book. It's true you'll learn 21 songs, but the first few will only use a single chord. (Not a knock on the book - just a heads-up.) The first chapter of the book also gives good advice about practicing, and would apply to just about any new endeavor.
