Review:I can barely put this book down, it's so fascinating. Ironic though that I'm sucked in reading about people being productive, because after 20 minutes of browsing I certainly haven't achieved many of my own goals. Review:I purchased the audible edition of this book. The reader was really good. The circus fire is such an interesting and sad event. What runs throughout the story is the thought that this was the CIRCUS. People were there to have fun and forget the war for an hour or so.
I have read several books on this fire, and this one is the best. It is well written, and is never boring. If you buy this one, be sure to have a box of tissues handy! Read more

Review:After reading "Water for Elephants" I was eager to read another book by Sara Gruen. She did not disappoint me. Her characters are memorable. The story is intriguing. A research project involving bonobos and sign language is destroyed by what seems to be animal rights activists. It turns out to be another group with a completely different agenda. The bonobos were the best part of the story for me, but the human characters were well developed also. Read more
