Review:It was a cute book. I liked the idea that the book started with - The kiss at the party freshman year. I just wish that has played more of a role in the story. It ended up feeling a little Insta love to me, little romance for middle schoolers.

Review:Although the Plague is not my favorite Camus, that honor belongs to The Stranger and The Rebel, it is nonetheless a great allegory for the grinding nature of life under occupation by a foreign dictatorial regime.
Just as Camus experienced first hand the way in which the Nazi occupation of France beat down the spirit of the French people, in The Plague he parallels that with the way in which an isidious disease can beat down the will of a city's people to live life.

Review:I was pleasantly surprised how many times I laughed out loud during the first half of this novel! There is some fine black comedy. At first. During the second half of the novel things are not so funny, in fact quite bleak. Review:Look at the title of this book (really just a little booklet). Amazon rejected my first review because I used bad language (even though I didn't spell anything out, but used symbols for the vowels of variants of the word in the title and common earthy terms for excrement, women's breasts, etc.).
