Historical Fiction
Review:Excellent name for the story. That should explain enough to find out about how many thieves and how
they learn their trade. What was stolen and how it was stolen was well planed at every event. The human nature of the of the Father and Mother had good reason for the crime, but they learn to really enjoy what they did. Called The Adrenalin Rush. It was interesting
how each member keep their habits a secret. Read more
Review:Purchased for 6th grade Pre-AP ELAR class. My daughter loves it and says it is amazing! The book is written well and does the subject matter justice (I have a history degree with a specialization in this period of history). Read more
Review:While initially exciting, the quality of writing is sometimes exceedingly poor. Characters and development are paper thin as well. There is too much unnecessary and predictable dialog. This would make good reading for a 12 year old. Read more
Review:Cliche' ridden, confusing, too many references to character's and past events, which disrupts the flow of the story. The title and the book cover, initially drew my interest. I haven't read past the first chapter yet...at this point I am disappointed. I will try again later, maybe this winter. Read more
Review:The book was slow starting. The behavior of our heroes was so unexpected, that the reader was disbelieving of their actions. But the author redeems himself and shows this to be a fine series. You will get hooked. Read more
Review:This book brings history to life. I was never interested in the dry versions of history that I studied in school, but read this with special interest because I am a descendant of Eleanor of Aquitane. Fascinating reading. Read more
Review:THE LAST SIN EATER by Francine Rivers
Francine Rivers has written an engaging, believable story of how one evil man can fool so many people. All the characters are presented in such a realistic setting that one has no problem understanding what has happened to an entire community. It is also a story of how God reaches into the lives of people to bring His truth to them. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who have no fear of knowing the truth about one form of evil. Read more
Review:2016 is the 100th year anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin so it’s a subject that is very topical in Ireland at this time. And it’s also the subject of Through the Barricades by Denise Deegan. What I loved in particular about this book is that it brought history to life in a meaningful way that reminds you yet again how nothing is ever black and white.

Review:It's a wonderful book...heartwarming and beautiful. I just did not know from the onset when I bought it that it was technically fiction. Based on a collective of true stories and interviews but fiction nonetheless. I'm not too fond of fiction books. Read more
Review:This is definitely one of Pilcher's better novels, although I love them all. I particularly enjoy her descriptions of Cornwall and the beauty of nature that she captures. Her characters are very entertaining as well. Read more
