I Me Mine: The Extended Edition
I Me Mine: The Extended Edition

Review:George's book is too self centered, it barely speaks of The Beatles, that are the one thing that made him. Another detail, that may be considered good or bad, is that he explains each and every song he made. It consumes half the book, but it's interesting. Read more

Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever
Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever

Review:This story is heartbreakingly beautiful. It is told in the most honest and open manner. Rory opens his heart and soul to us glossing over nothing. One can not read this story and not feel his pain and share in their triumph and their tragedy. Joey + Rory's story is not finished, this is only the end of the beginning. Their faith in God and their love and commitment to one and other is moving and truly inspirational. This is not lighthearted reading but it will touch your heart and possibly chan... Read more

A Memoir of Gangster Life and Redemption-from South Central to Hollywood
A Memoir of Gangster Life and Redemption-from South Central to Hollywood

Review:This book surprised me by the depth of information it provided into a L.A. Gangster's life. I found myself switching back and forth from calling him a idiot punk to being very proud of some of the better decisions that he made. God must have been on this man's side for him to have come out of his youthful actions without having done hard prison time or dying. Thank God for the angels watching over ICE-T - I never knew a thing about him and really didn't like rap at all but now I think I get so... Read more

John Lennon: The Life
John Lennon: The Life

Review:This biography begins with John's childhood, family and friends. It follows him through school and into his career with the Beatles and afterwards. Anecdotes from dozens of close friends and acquaintances along the way give insight into how he was feeling at a given time. There are new details of common knowledge, new perspectives of well known stories and new bits of info that could shock you. Some fans might find certain parts hard to accept.

This book neither glorifies nor bastardiz... Read more

I Am Brian Wilson: A Memoir
I Am Brian Wilson: A Memoir

Review:Brian's story was very interesting as a lifelong Beach Boys fan, but the storytelling jumps around chronologically quite a bit. It might be the way Brian thinks, which is cool, but I found it tough at times to know where we were at. Read more

Alfred's Basic Piano Library Technic Complete - Bk 1

Review:Needed the next upgrade for our daughter's music lessons, and I didn't feel like trapcing around from store to store to get her books. Where else to look? Why Amazon, of course! It arrived, lickety-split, and she was happily playing for her teacher in no time. Highly recommend this not only as a great lesson plan, but a great way to order! Read more

Conversations About Life and Comedy - Sick in the Head
Conversations About Life and Comedy - Sick in the Head

Review:Loved the timespan and perspectives-amazing how Judd, even at a young age, was able to engage in such a personal way. His interviews remind me of why Howard Stern's interviews really work-personal and engaging -they are both truly interested in what makes people tick. Thanks for a great read! Read more

Punk Rock Blitzkrieg: My Life as a Ramone
Punk Rock Blitzkrieg: My Life as a Ramone

Review:This is an absolute wonderful read. Marky Ramone gives great detail of his life as a Ramone, and before he became part of the legendary punk band. For me, as a younger listener, who was born in the 80's, and can vaguely remember the videos, it's great to read about his life then and now and see what it was like to experience the punk era and to work with people like Dee Dee, Joey, and Johnny, whose personalities seemed to clash. Marky seemed to be the person to calm everyone down.
