Review:A wonderful example that women today follow. Her book gives us an inside look at her daily life, along with her professional career. From her Miss America title, two days later, her first national press conference, her marriage, along with her two children, she's a powerful woman. Being as I enjoy pictures, one of the best portions of her life that she shares with us is the center of her book. This portion gives us a six page photographic view of her entire life. Read more
Review:Interesting read if you want insight about what happens before, after and during the show. I wasn't a Courtney fan while watching her season, but after reading the book you can see a more full picture of how her portrayal on the show got taken to the extreme. Read more

Review:It is so refreshing to actually find someone in reality TV land who is not ashamed of the Gospel and his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Sean Lowe is that person and I'm so glad I read his book. I liked him as the "Bachelor" and now I really, really like him as a person! Way to witness for our Lord, Sean! Read more
Review:I never would have guessed by reading Mr. Robbins works that he also lived a life of such imagination. The world is a better place because of his books, and mind expanding prose. I was sad that this book had to end! Read more
Review:This is only for Susan Lucci fans who are interested to know how sad privileged little Susan was when her Nana died. Otherwise, you will find it boring and will not be able to relate to the content, especially after reading more engaging autobiographical works such as Not My Father's Son and My Mother Was Nuts. Review:Raw, honest and vulnerable. That's how I would describe "The Mother of Black Hollywood", so many lessons that are applicable to us all, not just those who follow the same path as Ms. Lewis. The ability to be self aware is truly a gift and no matter when that self-awareness comes, embrace it. Own it. Love it. Read more

i was looking for an engaging, page turner. one in which the characters and story stay with you after you put the book down. that's all i wanted out of my next book. but lately, it seems, that's alot to ask..
in my opinion nick flynn truly captured the unique struggle an adult child has towards a destructive, self centered, a-hole of a parent..it's a complex scenario he captured v... Read more
Review:This book is truly literature -- a story to be savored and underlined! Doig has an amazing memory of his past, and his words allow the reader to "remember and feel" their own. His portrayal of not only himself, but his father, and grandmother is rich and strong and set in a moving picture of seasons, actions and language of the people of Montana mountains and towns. I hope that these western mountain people with such courage and spirit still exist. It is remarkable that Doig gained such... Read more
Review:This is a classy, beautifully composed autobiography by one of today's best/mostserious US authors. I recommend it to anyone, but it could be especially enjoyed by older/literate adolescent boys who were raised by a single mother in difficult circumstances; it will speak to many. Read more
