Review:This book contains one of the finest first-person narratives ever written. Coarse and chummy, fretful and alcoholic, the narrator is a Studebaker-sized beast of a man who skates to his ruin on too much booze, bad credit and pornography. Reading this book is like watching a rampaging circus elephant get shot in mid-city traffic, sink slowly to its knees and die. Read more
Review:Once again, Catherine Coulter has written a great book in the FBI series continuing with her main characters. Her books are always easy to read and hard to put down. Finished this one in about 2 days. If you've enjoyed her previous FBI books, you'll love this one! Read more
Review:This book should become required middle or a least high school reading .... especially with the recent embraceement of bigotry, racism, sexism, xenophobia in America that's been rearing its ugly head with the 2016 elections. Read more
Review:From an adventure story this is an excellent read. However, Swift contrasts the lands that Gulliver travels to his own native England to make a political statement. Review:Salvation at the Dairy Queen kept my interest with humor and real life events. It isn't one of those kind of books I couldn't wait to get back to but I did look forward to relaxing and reading about what would happen next. It didn't end with everything perfect, just like real life. There are meaningful quotes as well. I am not a prude but it is a pleasure to read a book without the need for an X rating. Read more
Review:As usual this great writer takes you back into wonder land and you do not want to leave it. The characters are great like every book that Fanny Flag writes. Funny but I have done the "to whom it may concern" senario like Maggie I planned to the detail also. It very funny remembering it Read more
Review:There were moments when the book did drag a little for me but for the most part I just fell in love with the family and their friends in the book and followed them through the years as life changed for each one. Read more
