I love all of Cherises books. This was one really great book. Longer than most of her other books. We get well fleshed out characters and a good back story. I loved catching up with the Hunt brothers, Simon, Xavier and the rest of the a Dark Haven gang. Lots of BDSM and Hot Sex. Great book all around, start to finish. I hope Cherise writes more Dark Haven books!

This was not one of my favorite Cherise Sinclair book. My problem with this book is Zander De Vries and the way he was written. I enjoy caring about the character and getting lost in the story but this book didn't do it for me. I would get so disappointed with Zander and not touch my Kindle for days.
For me he wasn't a strong enough Dom or a good enough one. He jumps to conclusions too easily with his relationship with Lindsey. He scene with men but has sex with women. Johnny Boy, Hurt Me & even Dixon, seriously. Xavier wants to refer Hurt Me to kink friendly counselors. Really?
The book could have been so much better and I wish it was.

This book had it all, BDSM, suspense, and of course romance/love. It was nice reading about some of the other Doms of dark haven and their subs. I really enjoyed how DeVries and Lindsey worked out the issues of him being a sadist but she wasn't a masochist. I loved the two of them as a couple. Wish the book could have been longer. Buy the book and enjoy!

I started this book with a sample read and couldn't put it down. I don't usually spend $7 on an e-book but have to say that I think it was money well spent. It has good characters, hot sex scenes (if a little brutal), good background stories that come together at the end in a good way. I enjoyed this book and will be looking at others by this author.

Loved this story!! First story I have read by this author. I've read quite a few books from simple romance to dark erotica. This was a real treat to read. Believable characters and excellent story line. The best Dom's never give up....and neither do his friends. Can't wait to read more by this author.

OMG!!!! Waited forever for Xander and Lindsey's story and whoa Daddy, was it worth it. This is Cherise Sinclair at her best. She's one of my favorite authors and after finishing this book in a several hour marathon when it first came out, I have already gone back to reread it several times. Where do I sign up to be an ARC participant?

They just keep getting better. This was outrageously good, again. Ms. Sinclair surely tells a great story. That's why she's an auto bye on my kindle. It was nice to catch up with all the other couples as well. Thanks for another great addition to the family of dark haven. Definitely recommend.

You can always count on Cherise Sinclair to write a great sexy story and with "Edge of the Enforcer" she delivers. Lots of Alpha males, submissive sexy females , steamy sex scenes and still Cherise manages to give us a captivating story line. This is not my very favorite novel by CS but it definitely is worth the read. Age 18 and over only.

I thoroughly enjoy stories that have super hot BDSM sex and a great story too.
Our heroine hiding out and wanted for murder. Oh and the cops are bad. Our hero, a mercenary and a big bad sadist Dom. Love and opposite attract
Loved the sex and BDSM scenes and the adventure made everything so much more fun to read.

Wow. Ms Sinclair does it again. Stuck in bed recovering from surgery I did this in one afternoon. The strong characters, action packed storyline, and subspace inducing sex made another boring day so much better. I liked the easy acceptance, no excuse, explanation of the true sadist and the strength of a woman to open herself to new experiences. Thank you for reminding me how wonderful MY dearheart is (and will be once the doctor clears me to play

Cherise Sinclair is a very interesting writer. This series, like her other series, is really good. I rarely read books twice, but I read hers twice. The books are written well, hold your interest, keep you guessing, and make you fall in love with the characters. This book was great and I fell in love with the enforcer. I could picture him in my mind and this book makes you feel you live in that world or could live in that world.

Cherise Sinclair writes BDSM like no other. Her characters are raw, gritty, emotional, and they all face challenges in their lives that we can relate to. I love the authenticity of her BDSM scenes. I read this book for some insight to the mind of a sadist. I wasn't disappointed! Love it!!

I fell in love with Cherise through the Shadowlands series but this is my favorite of hers by far she has grown as a writer and it shows through her characters. I enjoyed how she stayed true to the heroine's desire to only be submissive in the bedroom/sexual situations but enjoys the protectiveness of the hero in every day life. It's ok for her to go against him outside the bedroom without punishment and I liked that she stayed true to that dynamic.

After what seems like waiting FOREVER, we finally got deVries and Lindsey's story and it was so worth the wait! Their chemistry was explosive and the softer scenes were so touching that I actually cried! Cherise Sinclair does it again!! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE, AMAZING STORY AND I WOULD SO RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

This was probably my favorite one of her books. But they are all good. I loved the twists and turns could not put it down. And oh my god Zander hot hot hot. What a great character he was wonderful, and Lindsey was so strong for all she had been through. It was nice to revisit some of the old characters also. Just a fun overall read. Loved it. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a hot loving romance. He is a sadist so some of the encounters are a bit rough but that's all part of his charm! Have fun.

I love Cherise Sinclair. Her books are amazing and never fail to take me to my place of submission. Her characters are real, flawed, and so very Hot.
I didn't think I would like decries let alone a sadist but this guy got under my skin and into my heart.

This authors storytelling is superb and I read this book (just like all her other ones) in one sitting. Great development of the characters and of course some very hot and sexy bdsm play.
Without giving anything away, it's a story about an intense and sadistic Dom and one little subbie who really doesn't like pain very much at all. After their first (very steamy and kinky) play these two start to be very drawn to one another.
Shucks, just read the darn book, you will not be disappointed!!

I love every Cherise Sinclair book. I will buy them without even thinking about it. I did love this book, I can't say it's one of my favorites. It was somewhat predictable - with some twists and turns, but I did enjoy it alot! Can't fault any Cherise book. Sorry, but I just can't do it.

Cherise Sinclair never fails to deliver complicated, likable heroes and heroines. I never thought I would like sadists so much, but both deVries in EDGE OF THE ENFORCER and Master Sam from THIS IS WHO I AM in Sinclair's Masters of the Shadowlands series are not only smoking hot but wonderfully romantic.
DeVries and Lindsey should make no sense together, but their undeniable attraction and realistic reactions carry the reader along. I rooted for them the whole time, cried for Lindsey's back story, and grew to love deVries's gruff and honorable ways. It doesn't hurt that he is sexy as hell.

Have recently discovered Cherise Sinclair's writing. Went on to read ALL of her Dark Haven books and a few of her others. This one is no disappointment either. It's about a harsher Dom but likable as well as the heroine. Will continue to read all her works.

I don't like Cheris Sinclair's characters because they're too BDSM-nerdy and their community seems too surreal to me. But this book got me realize why she's one of the most prominent authors in the BDSM scene. I liked this book more than I thought I would.

WHEN did Sadists become so damned sexy? In Miss Sinclair’s newest, Edge of the Enforcer, we get to know Alexander DeVries, the Dark Haven Enforcer and one hell of a Sadist, and Lindsay, the club receptionist who is so much more than she appears. We first got to know them in one of Miss Sinclair’s earlier novels, MyLiege of Dark Haven, where even then I could feel a pull to Zander. There was something about him, the way he walked, talked and hell breathed just made my toes curl, and you could tell, there was real chemistry between him and our girl Lindsay.
In this book, Miss Sinclair paints a wonderful picture of them both, from Zander’s work as a Mercenary, and how it affects him every time he returns from a mission, to Lindsay trying to hide her past from those who she now considers friends. When Zander finally collects on a wager from Lindsay, the scene becomes an overnight stay, which surprises them both. It all goes well until… he opens his mouth.
One thing about Zander, the man can put his foot in his mouth more often than just about anyone else. He has the perfect knack for saying the wrong thing, and always to Lindsay. He accuses her of being a whore, a money grubbing woman who married a man for the cash and a whole list of other things. Of course, once the reader learns WHY our hero does this, it makes sense, and our girl always forgives him.
Lindsay is leading a life of lies and deceit, for a good reason. Accused of heinous crimes, she flees her beloved Texas and moves to California, where she works to clear her name. In the process she gains new friends, some much needed self respect and a job where finally she can put her years of education to work. Of course, the past never stays buried, and when Lindsay’s life is in danger, it is our hero, Zander who comes to the rescue.
Hearing this tough, gruff Sadist admit to loving her was nothing short of spectacularly cute and
adorable.
*“I love you.” The words spilled from her like a river spilling over a dam. “I love you so much.” His face went blank. Oh God, what had she said? But the damage had been done. Now he’d run. He’d…With a groan, he lifted her into his lap, holding her so tightly she couldn’t draw a full breath . As she buried her face in his neck , his chest rose and fell. I love you too,” he muttered into her hair. *
As a long time fan and reader of Miss Sinclair’s, I look forward along with everyone else for each new release. Unlike other authors who pretend to know, or understand the world she writes about, Miss Sinclair never fails to deliver on the goods. Her stories are well thought out, well executed, and flow seamlessly from one word to the next. Her characters are all rounded, believable people, and even in the most hardened, i.e. Zander deVries, there is an innate goodness in him that comes out. The sex scenes are intense, and after reading the violet wand scenes…well let’s just say I have a whole new respect and appreciation for electricity.
Miss Sinclair is a wildly talented author who takes the reader on a joy ride right along with her in each and every novel she writes. I don’t play favorites very often, but I in all honestly right now she is top of the list for me when it comes to reading.

Loved the story and the new couple, but I had expected a tad more kink...

There is nothing like finally reading a book that you bought and never got around to reading when it first came out. It’s an awesome feeling. It’s an even better feeling when it’s a Sinclair novel. Truth be told, I’m kind of baffled that I hadn’t made time to read it yet, but Edge of the Enforcer was well worth the wait – even if I didn’t know what I was missing.
Having met both Lindsey and deVries in previous books, I loved getting to learn more about them. I was shocked by the opening scene because I had no inkling about deVries’s extracurricular activities. But the scene was vital in making me understand his mindset in how he played and why he rebuffed Lindsey’s attentions – it didn’t excuse the unnecessarily harsh way he did it, but at least I understood it. It also made his collection of her debt from the Masterson’s picnic believable. And freaking hot as heck. However his freeze out the next day nearly gave me (and Lindsey) whiplash and once Sinclair gave the reader access to deVries’s thoughts, I was shocked by just how judgmental the dom could be. Yikes! Talk about frostbite. Thank goodness the Xavier and Simon don’t limit their meddling to just the subs and deVries got the kick in the pants he needed. And just in time as Lindsey’s past catches up with her and she finds herself in a life and death situation that doesn’t look good at all.
I must say that I’m not sure whose character surprised me more – Lindsey and her secrets OR that deVries, Dark Haven’s resident sadist and enforcer, had such a soft side to him. I’m not suggesting he was a pushover for Lindsey. Oh far from it. But when things got tough, his instincts and desires were in sync when it came to protecting the little submissive who showed him that life with a pain-intolerant sub might be a worthwhile venture after all. As for Lindsey, her secrets threw me for a loop. I was astounded by the predicament she found herself in and even more so that she managed to keep a lid on it considering who she worked with. It certainly added far more suspense and action to the novel than I expected and I loved how it gave us the chance to catch up with so many of the characters from the previous books in the series. But I cannot believe it took them so long to figure out how to have a relationship and still give deVries the outlet he needed for has sadism. At least they were both equally shortsighted when it came to identifying that solution. Regardless, I absolutely loved Edge of the Enforcer and am ready to sink my teeth into Master of Freedom in a few days.
I reviewed my personal copy of this book.

I was starting to despair that the author had lost her way, but this book makes me think she can find her way back to excellence. I was not a fan of Dark Haven - the prior two books felt like plastic rip offs of Shadowlands. But this one actually has a plot in addition to the formulaic "Dom with prior relationship issues meets sub with issues which cause some conflict but eventually resolve themselves in love" that dominates the author's novels. Both the H and h were well drawn, and the sex scenes are great, as usual.
I think the need to draw characters in from prior novels/other series is getting distracting. (I find this an issue with Shadowlands, too). It takes time to set them up, they are never as well depicted as they are in their own stories, and so it takes focus away from the characters we should care most about.
