Loved this story. What a great set of characters. I was so upset when the story was over! I could just keep reading their story. I loved Tobias, he is my new book boyfriend! He is so wonderful

This is a wonderful BDSM book!. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

Woop woop!! New series from Jane Henry! Time to get to know a new set of characters, state and club. A little suspense, mystery and chemistry that is off the charts.

Another great read from Jane Henry. I was sad when the Boston Doms series ended, so i was glad to see this continuation in NYC. The heroine was a strong, sassy girl and a fierce mother. She always put her son first and i love that about her. Tobias is a great dom who isn't afraid to show love and affection. Their relationship with each other and with Diana's son builds well over time. The way these two met was hilarious and set a good story in action. This book has great chemistry a nice twist of suspense. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Well written first story in a new series. Terrific characters with steamy chemistry. Emotional, suspenseful, sexy, some mystery and a bit of humor. This story had it all. Worth the read.

First book in this new series from this author & I loved it! It ticked all my boxes - hot, dominant guy; spunky, intelligent woman; hot sex; humour. This couple have to be the goofiest D/s couple I have ever read & I could just keep reading about them. Give me more!!

Jane Henry had written a truly amazing book with all the feels. Tobias and Diana are written so well that they take you with them on their journey. Life is short but this brings the passion and steam with it.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Diana was likable and really relatable and I immediately fell in love with Tobias. The story moves right along from the beginning and keeps you totally involved. This was a sweet and sexy story that will leave you with lots of good and warm feels at the end. Jane Henry never fails to deliver a great read. Can't wait for more. Highly recommend!

Amidst trying to catch a serial rapist, dealing wiith a special needs eight year old, an idiot ex-husband, a crazy best friend and running a BDSM club, Tobias and Diana meet, start D/srelationship and fall in love. His need for control gives her the freedom to let go when everything crashes down around her.

Mild-to-moderate BDSM, reasonably well-written. Plot is credible, if fairly predictable. This novel jerks all the heartstrings if you enjoy that sort of thing, plays the mommy and special-needs child cards, which some may appreciate. The male lead seems to good to be true. Outside of the BDSM aspect, a bit too syrupy.

Refuse to finish!!! Spoiler alert!!!

I refuse to read anymore past page 32 (chapter five)

The story starts out with a scorned woman drunk and keying the wrong car, turns out the owner of said car finds her and brings her into his BDSM club where she gets a tour... skip ahead and the woman admits to him that she is afraid of him turning her in to the cops in fear that she might lose funding for her special needs son, so what does he do?
The dom restrained her without asking her and then asked if she refused consent because of her fear of being turned over to the police she shakes her head and then using a paddle begins spanking her, now he does this without giving her a safe word, he is supposedly a trusted master, a dominant who owns this club, yet he didn't get prior consent, didn't even discuss dynamics or play, punishments or roles or scenes consent or safewords with her. Not a true BDSM book and way worse than fifty shades in the BDSM world. Horrible. If you dont know about the world besides what you have read in other books with key words, then maybe dont write about the subject! BDSM has real rules it isn't about roleplaying with toys and whips and chains!!! Research it before writing about it again!!!

This story has a fantastic plot, really well developed characters and dark elements that go beyond the whole BDSM theme. The author's depiction of a single mom with a special needs child was spot on. The friendship between Diana and Bea was strong and supportive. The romance was unexpected but also bittersweet, like dark chocolate covered cherries, the prize comes after the purity of natural sweet. It made sense in my head, yo might get it. The suspense of the attacks was just another added layer of plot complexity that made the story even better. I'm new to this author but am now KU trading this one for another of hers. I'm a new fan.
