I have read manybooks, but never one that left me wanting so much more. This book has it all happiness, sadness, love, tears, compassion, and some very steamy and erotic scenes. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series.

In this first book in Laura Kaye's Blasphemy series, she brings us a deep, dark, and utterly satisfying story about second chances. I love Kenna and Griffin's story -- and I look forward to meeting more of the Masters at Blasphemy!

I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I could not get enough of Bound to Submit. LOVED IT!!!! SO HOT!!!!! SO SWEET!!! So many swoon moments. I already pre-ordered (and now have the actual book) because I need the real thing—-it was soooooo good. I need to figure out away to get a signed copy. I need to be able to hold it. The book touched my heart. I cried. I laughed, I wished I was there.
When I think Sex Club, the word beautiful isn’t what comes to mind. When I think BDSM, I don’t think love. Yet, beautiful and love, are the words that I most associate with Bound to Submit, book 1 in the Blasphemy series. I have to admit I am a sucker for second chance romance, which is another reason that Bound to Submit totally rocked. Who knew reading about knot tying could be so hot??? Not me—just call me clueless.
Master Griffin lost Kenna five years ago when he couldn’t commit. By the time he realized his mistake, it was too late. She was no where to be found. She was just gone.
Kenna returns home and to Blasphemy in hopes of finding peace. She is no longer whole in heart, head, or body. She remembers the power Master Griffin had over her while practicing the Art of Shibari. If he could help her find peace, to find a state of calm, then she could leave love at the door.
From the tying of the first not it was hot. The emotion came through the pages. Goosebumps formed at the relief Kenna found. Each knot brought more love, more acceptance, just more. Heck, I was ready to find a master to learn more.
The book had me tied in knots. I wanted them to succeed as a couple. I wanted Griffin to pay for past mistakes. I wanted Kenna to find strength. I wanted Kenna to allow love in.

This book has a full spectrum of emotions. Reading about how an amputee deals with the pain and the perceived embarassment was so moving.

I wasn't sure how I would like a couple coming back together (I'm cynical), but it was a good story showing doing what your heart/instincts tell you.

Of course, we were teased with Griffin in the first story. Wondering what the heck happened with him. This story fills in the time gap well and takes off HOT! While I couldn't see this kink as one I could do, it definitely read smoking hot. If the author could have seen my face trying to follow along the tie sequencies....but it was beautifully explained and more artistic than I realized.

I love reading these stories/scenarios that I am either not interested or not bold enough to try, but LOVE reading them! Ready for the next one!

Well for Kenna Sloane the answer that is yes. But what she has to endure to achieve will be worth it. Kenna is a submissive and 5 years ago her heart was shattered by her Dom. But she picked up the pieces and did a very brave thing she joined the Marines.

Being a Marine gave her purpose something she desparately needed. But suddenly that is taken away when an explosion kills her best friend and  leaves her an amputee. Once again her life is at a cross road can she fix it.

Master Griffith is still at Club Blasphemy. Five years ago he had Kenna as his submissive but didn't have a balls to step up. So he let his submissive go. Over that time he has thought of nothing but her, but he could never find her until the night she walks back into Blasphemy.

What is he going to go? Can the big bad Dom handle her?
She is in perfect submissive mode  and won't  look at him. He known something is different, is he ready for this change?

I was enthralled with this book. I would definitely  give it 5 /  5   stars. Please  join  me  in  reading  this  book  by  either  buying  or  borrowing  it . Please  remember  to  leave  a  review  the  author  appreciates  them .   Enjoy

“The music faded away along with all the people, until it was just the two of them, divided by a room, five years, and her once-broken heart.”

FINAL DECISION: A book that has a strong, independent heroine that has experienced much pain and yet takes control of her own pleasure by confronting the pain in her past. I loved Kenna and Griffin.

THE STORY: Kenna Sloane is an ex-Marine, amputee and motivational speaker. She is having problems adjusting to her new life. As a way of solving that problem, she decides to confront her past. Five years ago, Griffin Hudson was her lover and Dominant. When Kenna fell in love with him and wanted more, he rejected her. Now Kenna wants to see if the Dom/Sub lifestyle she liked so much can help her recover. She returns to Blasphemy, the sex club that Griffin owns and where he is one of the 12 Masters. What Kenna doesn’t know is that Griffin has never forgotten her. He quickly regretted his rejection of the perfect woman for him and now that she has returned, he plans to keep her.

OPINION: I loved how strong and independent Kenna was in this book. She is a tough woman who has experienced the trauma and death of war but has begun to pull herself together. When she sees that her life is not what she wants it to be, she takes action. She returns to the dom/sub life that brought her happiness even though she experienced pain as well when Griffin rejected her.

“Unlike the rest of her life right now, at least here — right here in this room — she knew what the rules were, what was expected of her, and what she could do to succeed. She knew who and what she was. And God, she hadn’t realized how much she needed that. All of that. Because she’s lost it when she’s lost the Marines. She’d just lost so much.”

The story of Kenna is powerful; she is a warrior. I loved how her being an amputee is part of the story but it doesn’t diminish her sexuality or sexual attraction. Her qualities amplify the attraction Griffin has for her. She can be strong, be physically imperfect and have lingering emotional scars, but she is allowed to be sexual and attractive.

Griffin is a sweetheart. I don’t know how Kaye does it, but she manages to make him incredibly alpha and yet kind and compassionate. His reaction to her service as a Marine and her amputation is so supportive that I could see how Kenna fell in love with him.

In this book, Griffin has already gone through his conversion to recognizing how wrong he was in the past. He knows what he lost and is determined to not lose her again.

While this book is centered around the Blasphemy Club, the sex play in this book is only about the relationship between Kenna and Griffin. They have already dealt with their sexual compatibility and their attraction to one another. This book is really about Kenna coming to terms with herself. She manages to do this through her sex play and her relationship with Griffin which opens her up to happiness again and her ability to deal with her grief and guilt.

I thought this book was thoughtful and sexy.

The only criticism I had was that I thought Kenna forgave Griffin way too easily after his prior rejection of her.

WORTH MENTIONING: This is a novella.

CONNECTED BOOKS: BOUND TO SUBMIT is the first book in the Blasphemy series. There is a connected book that operates as a prequel entitled HARD TO SERVE. It is not necessary to read HARD TO SERVE before BOUND TO SUBMIT.

STAR RATING: I give this book 4 stars.

NOTE: I received a copy of this book in order to provide a review. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions contained herein are my own.

This story from Laura Kaye is a smoldering and sensual, second-chance romance that draws you in and ends much too quickly! I wanted more Kenna and Griffin!

I was drawn to Griffin's character and his immediate claiming of Kenna and owning the mistakes that he made in the past. I loved that the storyline for Kenna had her owning her joining of the Marines looking for 'more' from her life and not just because she was told her love was not returned. Strong and capable characters that are flawed and drawn together again to find their HEA.

I cannot wait for more of this series from an auto-buy author for me!

I’d hoped for something different, but it was so predictable. Nothing in the plot got my interest. I also didn’t like the writing style. There were many sentences that didn’t make sense. The book needs editing. Couldn’t finish it.

Laura Kaye made me smile. And sigh. And cringe. And get turned on. And cry. And hope. And it was EVERYTHING!

BDSM stories are not my go to. I don't really relate to them on a visceral level typically, as that's just not my kink. But I so enjoyed the prequel, Hard to Serve, that I was excited to read this one as well. I originally picked up Hard to Serve, because it took place in LK's Hard Ink world, which I loved so much, and I was excited to get another story from there, even if it wasn't something I normally would have read. I loved it and I was actually surprised by how much I loved it. LK made everything so real and pulled me in so hard that I didn't even realize the things about the story that had pulled me right out of similar stories before. She's done the same thing here with Bound to Submit.

Kenna hasn't been to Blasphemy in 5 years. She and Master Griffin were previously involved. It turned into love for her, but he told her it hadn't for him, and that he didn't want a committed relationship. So, they parted ways, and Kenna left town to join the Marine Corps. Griffin knew he'd made a terrible mistake, and about 3 weeks later he went to make things right, but she was gone. He thought he'd never see her again. Kenna gained a lot in the Marine Corps, but she lost a lot too, including her best friend, and her own right arm. She suffers from many things: guilt, and flashbacks, but mostly, she has phantom pain and nightmares that make it so she can never really rest. She comes back to the club in the hopes that Master Griffin can take her out of her head again, the way he used to, as she needs that so badly.

Griffin was resigned to the fact that he'd lost his love, and would never have that chance again, when Kenna comes back into his life. He's thrilled to see her, but he can tell that she's not the same as she used to be, and eventually he figures out all the whys. It only makes him want her more, love her more. He decides he's in this for good, and he'll fight for Kenna, whatever it takes. I really enjoyed watching them reconnect to each other, sexually and emotionally, through their mutual need of the D/s relationship. Most especially they are both into bondage, and they both need that from each other, as a big part of their connection.

Kenna had a lot of ghosts and guilt from her past that she needed to lay to rest before she could really be happy in her life again. Her relationships have been strained as she hadn't actually dealt with many of her issues. She hadn't even really confided in her own sister, and that was starting to wear on her. Also, she feels responsible for her best friend's death, and though she knows in her head it isn't true, she hasn't been able to accept it in her heart. As she starts to come alive again, through her relationship with Griffin, she begins to fix other things in her life. She and her sister grow closer again. And, she finally books the trip she's been dreading and putting off for 2 years. She goes to see her best friend, Georgia's, mom, and give her the gifts Georgia left for her before she died. That meeting really had all the feels for me and made me cry, in a way a book hasn't in a while. It was cathartic, for me and for Kenna! I really appreciate the way LK handled these issues, and I love the way she's written all of her former military characters with such respect and care.

Overall, this book was perfection. I truly loved Griffin and Kenna, separately and together, and I can't wait to see what's next! I highly recommend this series to anyone, especially to people like me, who are just dipping their toes into the BDSM world. Laura Kaye, and her amazing characters, will take great care of you!

The first book of the Blasphemy series, the Blasphemy BDSM club was first introduced in the crossover from the author's Hard Ink series, Hard To Serve. This story holds up well as a standalone, in my opinion, though as normal, reading the previous books would add some additional background.

Kenna is still coming to terms with the changes that were forced on her when an IED cost her not only her right hand but the life of her best friend. Struggling with her pain and survivor's guilt, she decides that maybe returning to the role of a submissive and the Master she hasn't seen in five years will give her the escape she needs. Master Griffin has spent nearly every day of the past five years regretting that he didn't realize what he had with Kenna; he rejected her when she wanted a more committed relationship and by the time he realized his mistake, she had disappeared. When he sees her again he's determined to try to rebuild what they had, but Kenna wants to feel less, not more.

I loved these characters and I loved this story! Kenna is strong and smart, my favorite type of heroine and I love the way she owns her disability. Griffin is the kind of brooding alpha that I love, but is strong enough to admit that he was wrong pushing Kenna away years earlier. The two have a wonderful connection and chemistry, and I love watching them rebuild their relationship together especially as Griffin helps Kenna finish healing; in fact, I found some moments so touching they moved me to tears.

Beautifully developed characters and a lovely second chances story that gets 5 stars from me, I'm eagerly looking forward to more stories in this series.

This book was an intense, emotional and passionate story that I couldn't put down. What an exceptional second chance romance.

Griffin is one of the 12 Masters of Balsphemy and he couldn't be happier with his decision to partner in on the BDSM Club. He feels completely at home and in his element when he is there but he has regrets from the past. A woman that he let get away, not realizing what they had until it was too late and she was gone. Clearly as we get to know Griffin he is patient, kind and loving. His dominance comes through the submission given when performing his Japanese Shabari.

Kenna has been merely existing these past two years since coming home from the Marines, still trying hard to deal with all her losses from that terrible day. She struggles with the quilt of being alive while others are not, she struggles with confidence and perception of being an amputee. At her wits end she decides to see if the one thing that gave her complete satisfaction and belonging so many year again might help her in healing. Can she find the courage to go back to Blasphemy and face him? Will he be willing to work with her? If not can she submit to someone else?

Griffin and Kenna have many things to sort through after their first re encounter. Can they more forward from a past where hearts were broken? Can Griffin help her move past her guilt? Is there hope for a relationship that will last between them?

I am a huge Laura Kaye fan and even though this new series is something so very different from her other books it is a phenomenal start. She has brought us some superb characters and secondary characters that I already can't wait to get to their stories. She has brought me to full anticipation and I am watching closely for the next book.

I volentarily read an Advance Read Copy of this book. Kenna joined the Marines, and she was good at her job, plus she loved being a marine. Then an IED changed all that, her best frien died and she lost part of her arm a couple inches below her elbow. She loved serving her country, but now she can't. Part of the reason she joined the Marines was because she blonged to a BDSM club and the Dom she subbed for didn't want a full time sub, or so he thought at the time! After 3 weeks Griffin changed his mind, but by then it was already too late, because she was already in basic training, he has regretted it ever since. He got a tattoo of her face on his back to honor her. Kenna decided to go visit the BDSM club so she can see if Griffin is still there, in hopes of seeing him, and seeing if that super hot spark that they had is still there. Kenna still has problems with her reaction to having her arm amputated below the elbow, plus nightmares and flashbacks and she is still in love with Griffin!
This is a good story,Kenna's character has to deal with the loss of her best friend, and her arm, and the love of her life plus being out of the Bdsm lifestyle etc... Griffin is a good Dom, and a fair one too, he wants a life partner, and a full time sub. The BDSM is consensual in this book and they use safe words, and proper tecnique and protocol. The characters are well thought out, and the story line is smooth and interesting, I only wish the book had been a bit longer, I wasn't ready for it to end!. There is nothing too risque in this book most of the BDSM centers on Shibarri, an ancient Japanese bondage tenique, and the sex scenes are well done and hot. I read and reviewed this book as a member of the Mommy's Naughty
Playground Review Team.

Laura Kaye is not afraid to delve inside the human psyche. Some of her best stories tackle tough and controversial subjects. Bound to Submit is her latest. Kenna is a complex character. Having endured the tragedies of war and a career ending injury, she shields her emotional pain. Her broken body and bruised spirit has lead her to seek out a dark avenue of expression. In order to feel alive, she thrives on the physical expression of pain. In that moment she can expose herself without the prying eyes and the heartbreaking looks. Griffin is no white knight. He has his own demons to contend with, but nothing hurts him more than the shell that Kenna has become. The distance between them is like a chasm. Heartache broke them apart, can tragedy heal the rift? There is no black and white with Bound to Submit. The story is designed on feelings and the power they have. Disturbing, sensual, tragic, inspiring -there is no halfway with Kenna and Griffin.

I won this autographed copy of BOUND TO SUBMIT! Thank you Laura Kaye!
What I love about Laura Kaye is that her books are reasonable short, and quick to read. Even though BOUND TO SUBMIT is a BDSM book it is not a dark book. It's a hopeful book about two people reconnecting.

Kenna Sloane not only is a submissive but she served and was injured in the Marines. To me her character was a bit weak after all the military experience she had. I wanted to see her with a little bit more back bone.

All in all it was a good quick read. I especially love the quote, "Everything 's happening so fast" Griffin's big hands rubbed her back. "No, it's not. Just feels that way because you've been in one place for so long".

However, to me, HEARTS IN DARKNESS will always be Laura Kaye's signature book.

(Possible Spoilers)

Kenna Sloane is trying to find a way to feel again. A wounded Marine, who lost her arm and her best friend while overseas, she carries a ton of guilt and sadness from that day. She can't sleep, she closes off from her sister. She's aching to find a way to feel a shred or her old shelf, the happy, spunky, women she was. She was once a member at the Exclusive BDSM club, Blasphemy, where Kenna explored her Submissive side with, the striking, tall, dark & sexy, Master Griffin. The way he made her feel, is something she finds herself craving once again. The only problem, she left behind her heart with Griffin years ago. He wasn't ready for it then, and that broke a part of her. Now after all these years, she'll have to guard her heart and focus on just the pleasure he brings her, and not the way he makes her heart yearn for his.

Griffin Hudson, one of the owners of Blasphemy, Baltimore's exclusive BDSM Club, is in for one hell of a surprise when in walks the beautiful women, with grey eyes, that he let slip through his fingers all those years ago. He was a fool to not know what was happening between them, and after loosing her once, he'll be damned he lets his little submissive go again. Being in the same room as Kenna, it feels like no time has passed at all. He can remember everything about this women who holds his heart, but he also feels the time spent apart. He notices something behind her eyes, a sadness, a new part of the women he knows. Griffin will have to try express to Kenna, how he feels, without scaring her off. He'll need to prove that letting her go the first time was a mistake, and that he wont let it happen again.

Oh My Oh My, this book! What a beautiful, extremely SEXY story. I am just so in LOVE with Griffin & Kenna! They are a HOT, sweet and swoon-worthy couple. Kenna is a beautiful soul, wounded, lost, looking for something to grab onto, she is a really beautiful part of this book. Her fall into the sadness and guilt, to the rise of her happiness, and finding closure, is something to read, and Laura Kaye, wrote it wonderfully. Master Griffin, WOW, man oh man, do I love this, big hearted, dirty talking, ripped jeans wearing, alpha. His love for Kenna, and the way he helps her see what a amazing women, Marine, submissive she is, melts your heart. He is a great male lead, for readers to fall for, I sure did. And the way he works those ropes... Hello! (Fan's Face) ;)

I love this series, and I'm so excited to read even more of the sexiness Laura Kaye brings us in the Blasphemy World.

Kenna and Griffin had been in a Dom/sub relationship for nearly a year when she confessed she'd fallen in love with him. Griffin wasn't ready for a serious long term relationship so feeling hurt and rejected Kenna decided to move on with her life by joining the Marines. Griffin regretted letting Kenna walk out of his life almost immediately but by the time he decided to fight for her she'd already gone and she'd left him no way to get in contact. Now, five years later, Kenna has returned but she's not the same woman she once was. She's scarred both physically and emotionally after an IED attack took her arm and the life of her best friend. Kenna is back in Baltimore but she's floundering and desperately in need of a way to take back control of her life, she's missed being a submissive so she returns to Blasphemy looking to let off steam. When Griffin sees Kenna walk through the door he knows he's been given a second chance with the one woman he could never forget but she's not quite as willing to open her heart to him this time around so he's going to have to earn her trust the hard way.

I knew I was going to love this new series as soon as I read Hard to Serve but oh boy the heat has ramped up in this book and Bound to Submit was off the charts awesome! I absolutely can't wait to meet all the other Masters properly and find out what all their kinks are and I'm really, REALLY hoping that all 12 of them are going to get their own books. You can't beat a second chance romance, there's something about reconnecting with an old love that I find really appealing and I love unravelling the history between two characters and seeing just how well they fit together. Kenna and Griffin have both changed since they first met but even though their pieces now connect to form a slightly different picture they're still a perfect match.

Kenna has been through so much and she's understandably traumatised by everything that has happened to her. She's closed herself off from the people she loves while trying to carry the huge burden of her emotional distress alone and you can see how much it is weighing on her and affecting every aspect of her life. I loved that she found a way to get out of her own head even if it was just for the time she spent with Griffin at the club and I thought Laura Kaye did a brilliant job of showing how much of an impact that had on her. What I appreciated the most was that sex or love didn't automatically fix her, she still had to work at putting herself back together but Griffin helped her get into a better head space to deal with everything. Kenna was just such an incredibly brave woman and she's so easy to relate to and root for.

Griffin was the perfect Dom, he knew exactly when and how to take control of the situation with Kenna in the club but he didn't just want a submissive he also wanted a life partner who was his equal in every way. I loved that he pushed Kenna but didn't overwhelm her, he just supported her and gave her everything she needed from him. Griffin was also willing to own up to the mistakes he made and fight to win her love for a second time. It definitely didn't hurt that the chemistry between them was scorching and if you've ever had even the slightest interest in Shibari Rope Bondage (and if you haven't before then you definitely will after reading this!) you'll love the scenes between these two. It was incredibly erotic picturing the art Griffin created on Kenna's body using well placed ropes and knotwork.

We also got to know a few of the other Masters a little better and I honestly can't decide whose story I'm most looking forward to. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that Laura Kaye is creating what is sure to be another favourite series of mine since I've loved all of her books for years now but she really does seem to continually push herself and grow as an author and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us.

Amazing story. Master Griffin and Kenna are one of the most beautiful BDSM couples I have read, but not only in this genre of books, it would be a too restrictive label for their bond, because this is a real beautiful love story .

Even more beautiful and intense because together they have been able to take a huge step forward, both they were put in front of a tough test, and they came out of it great, both Master Griffin and Kenna.

"Bound to Submit" is about their new beginning as a couple, and as a Dom and sub. In fact in the past they were regular with their scenes in the club, the Blasphemy, but then, when Kenna had asked something more to Master Griffin - a solid relationship, exclusive, and she told him the depth of her feelings – he didn’t know she was already so important and fundamental in his life and he took a step back, allowing her to leave.

After his refusal, Kenna made a big change in her life, cut all ties with everyone and everything, trying to give a purpose to her life, enlisting in the Marines.

Unfortunately on a mission she remains the victim during the explosion of a bomb, losing her arm.

Her life is totally changed by pain and guilt and she realizes that perhaps the only person who can help her is just Master Griffin.

And she finds herself having to deal again with him, baring her soul in front of him, with her fragility and vulnerability, having the fear of being rejected again, mainly because of her disability.

Master Griffin realizes immediately that something has changed in Kenna, but he can’t help himself to be amazed and impressed by the strength of this new Kenna, making it even stronger his feelings for her.

I loved Master Griffin for this for his ability to make her feel, accepted, "complete", beautiful and sexy and how he wants and needs to take care of her, going back to make her feel good, make her feel happy again and try with her to discover their new limits as a couple Dom / sub, thanks to the art of Shibari.

I was mesmerized as I read the scenes between the two of them, so full of sensuality, passion, but also very intimate and frankly I went looking for some Shibari images because I felt the need to see them see and I don’t hide I’m curious a lot about the sensations you can experience in those moments.

I'm impressed with talent showed by Laura Kaye in dealing with such a sensitive subject and almost taboo: the feelings of a person with their body and their sexuality after being amputee and I swear it isn’t an easy thing to do. I work in an environment where I meet patients who unfortunately have this kind of problem and it is a really difficult time for them to deal with, especially in young people ...

Always be exposed to the curiosity of the people, especially strangers, having to necessarily show something that for you is so painful to accept... They are things so delicate and difficult to deal with in everyday life.

And then another thing I loved about this book was to find between the pages the sense of pride and gratitude that Americans show for those who have served their country. Personally I am against the war, but I admire these people who are facing hell, which then change their life in a devastating way.

There are so many things in this book that make it special.

It’s a wonderful story with a lot of things to say and I am looking forward to read the other stories in this series.

I knew, just from reading the blurb of this book, that I was going to love it. You know, that instant connection with a book that you come across that you know you have to read. Yeah, I had it with this book big time. Of course this was confirmed within several chapters and I could not put it down. Now I want to say - Laura Kaye where have you been all my reading life! Don't worry I have found you now and I won't be letting you go after this gem of a book.

Going into this book, I thought that I was getting a second chance romance. But what I got was so much more. A story of healing, redemption and true love were all served flawlessly page after page until I could not get enough of these two characters. Kenna was so broken in the beginning of this book that her journey of healing had me hooked. Throw in a sexy, dominant alpha in Griffin, that is desperate to right the wrongs of the past, I am past a goner.

Struggling with the after affects that war has on her life, Kenna decides that the only way that she is going to find true solace is to enter a lifestyle that she ran away from 5 years ago. Convinced that finding relief through submission will help her deal with what life has thrown at her, Kenna finds herself returning to the one place that she was truly at peace - Blasphemy. Hoping to find the same man that rejected her love all those years ago, Kenna needs the type of dominance that only Griffin can dish out. But can she keep her heart out of it?

Griffin never thought that he would see Kenna again. The realisation that his haste rejection really pushed away the love of his life has haunted him every single day. So he was not expecting to see Kenna across the room inside Blasphemy. With so much on the line, Griffin knows that he cannot mess up again and lose Kenna a second time. He does not care that life has changed her, he is not letting go. But can Griffin give Kenna what she needs both through domination and release? Or has she changed so much that all hope is lost for this pair?

I cannot even describe how much I loved both Kenna and Griffin in this book. The way that Laura Kaye brought these characters to life and gave them such real qualities that I connected with both from the very beginning - which is not typical for me when reading. The strength that Kenna had to admit that she NEEDED submission to heal and to go back to the man that ripped her heart out and set her life on an alternate path that brought even more pain was beyond brave. And Kaye's writing made it real.

Griffin was the type of dominant alpha that draws me into his web everytime. Open with his feelings and mistakes, he never felt the need to hold back with Kenna when given the second chance. And the way in which he commanded Kenna with just the right touch was what I look for in Dominants in my books. I felt that at every turn during his second chance he was there for her, making her the priority and not afraid to show it. The confidence was a total turn-on.

Now, this is a BDSM book but it is not extreme. So if you like the lighter side of domination and submission, then this book is great for you. But don't get me wrong - it was as hot as heck between these two characters. The chemistry just about arced off the page it was so real. And the way in which Kaye made both characters a true symbol of their preference made the act of domination, bondage and submission that much more panty melting - because it felt real.

I love reading authors that are new to me, especially when they deliver knockout stories like Bound to Submit. This book has the captivating storyline, great writing, two characters with a real connection AND white hot steamy sex. An unputdownable book, readers will be glued to the pages wanting to find out if redemption is possible. I will say again, I am so excited to have found Laura Kaye and I really think that all lovers of second chance romance should pick up this book. A Redhot Recommendation and top read.

“I’m not sure you realize what you’re getting into with me, Kenna. Because I’ve missed the hell out of making you come.”
“Oh, God,” she rasped.
“God can’t save you. Not from me. Not tonight.”

I thought this was another great offering from Laura Kaye! We were first introduced to the world of Blasphemy and to Master Griffin in the Hard to Serve novella a few months back and I was intrigued to learn more about this man and the woman who has haunted him for years. This book was definitely a quick read, I’m actually not sure if it’s classified as a novella or an actual full length novel, but it did not disappoint. One of Laura Kaye’s many talents is packing a lot of story and a big emotional punch in a limited number of pages!

“Finding you again was the luckiest thing that ever happened to me.”

Kenna Sloane recently lost her career and her arm while serving her country in the Marines. Still reeling from the after effects and the guilt from what happened to her, she has sort of lost her way. She desperately needs the kind of release and freedom that only being a submissive can bring her. It’s been years since she’s engaged in that lifestyle but she thinks it’s the only thing that can help bring her back from the darkness that’s surrounding her. The only problem is that the club that she was a member of is part owned by the Dom and man who broke her heart several years earlier. She’s definitely not ready to put her heart out there again, but she is willing to submit to him again in order to obtain the kind of release that she knows he can deliver. Griffin Hudson regrets the day he let Kenna walk out of his life and he would do anything to get her to give him another chance which is why he can’t believe his eyes when he spots her in his club again. This time he isn’t going to let her get away. But it might not be as easy as he thinks once he learns how much Kenna has changed in the years they’ve been apart. Can Griffin earn back Kenna’s trust and overcome his own guilt about what happened to her so they can finally have a real shot at a future together?

BDSM romance isn’t my typical read but I knew that left in Laura Kaye’s capable hands that this would be a story that I would enjoy. It was fascinating to me being able to explore the human psyche through the lens of the BDSM lifestyle. For Kenna it was about much more than just sex and seeing her use her submissiveness as a way to heal from the demons plaguing her from her experience in the Marines, was very interesting. And yes, it was also super-hot, so if that’s what you’re looking for, rest assured that you’ll get a full dose of that within these pages. I also really liked seeing how Griffin cared for Kenna and worked to help her through everything, he was very in tune with her and made sure to deliver all of her needs and wants. In the midst of dealing with all of this was a sweet second chance romance, as Griffin worked to make sure that Kenna remained in his life for good this time. Even though their time apart wasn’t covered in much depth, I thought that enough information was given about their back stories to make be truly believe how they’ve changed over the years and I never doubted the Griffin was ready for commitment this time around.

I’m not sure which Master is up next but I look forward to reading more in this series. If you’re looking for a BDSM book that was written just for the shock factor, this isn’t it, but if you want one that has great characters that truly care about one another and that portrays the lifestyle in a mature and responsible way then you should definitely give this book a shot!

“I see beauty, Kenna. I see surrender. I see a woman bound to submit to me, and me alone. I see you,” he said, his voice full of a sexy intensity.

I was immediately drawn to this book by the blurb alone but the cover is pretty intriguing too! This was my first experience with a Laura Kaye book and it will definitely won't be my last. If you like BDSM, she knows how to do it right. It had been a while since I had the opportunity to read a good D/s book and this one seemed to fit the bill. This book turned out to be so much more than I expected! It totally blew me away with all the emotions that it brought out. Her characters feel genuine human emotions that will strike a cord with many readers. When an author tackles real human issues and is able to make her characters come to life and then makes me feel all of their pain and their joy, this is when they earn 5 stars from me. Well done Laura Kaye.

This story deals with so many human emotions and the way we deal with them. Life happens and no one can go back and make different choices in hopes of different outcomes. We all make our choices and live with the consequences or the benefits. Dwelling on our wrong choices and swimming with guilt over them will get you know where in life.

Bound to Submit is chalked full of amazing sex scenes that actually help the participants to let go of some of that pain and guilt and opens the door to show the reader what is behind the driving force of BDSM. Many people cannot fathom the lure of this life style but for those that partake, they understand how freeing participating in a scene can be.

Kenna and Griffin’s relationship was so easy to believe. It’s a second chance romance and ultimately their body and their minds remember the past, the years apart don’t matter. One human emotion that doesn’t seem to forget is love. Once you fall into it, it is hard to fall out and so easy to fall right back in. Kenna and Griffin had other issues to tackle as well but the most powerful and debilitating was the guilt. They both held onto a powerful guilt, a guilt that threatened to destroy them and their relationship if they didn’t learn how to forgive themselves and move on. Together they help each other heal and overcome the past and the cause of their grief. The emotions that this book brought out in me were over the top. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined where this story went and Laura had me utterly sobbing.

Her writing is amazing. Her descriptions of the inner feelings of the characters, of the beautiful club, and of the positioning that Griffin uses for Kenna in his Shibari were stunning – she actually has your mind bringing the image to the forefront and picturing the beautiful rope work. Her characters are also amazing. The BDSM lifestyle is a part of them but it isn’t all of them. It is all the rest of the stuff that really hit my heart strings and I always love when I get to see a man’s world be totally blown apart by his love for a woman. One of the best things about this book was noting that it is book 1 in the Blasphemy Series. All of the supporting characters were of interest to me, especially Master Quinton, and I will happily and readily read the remaining books in the series.
