Goodness, I loved this story and loved seeing Shirleen's happy ending. She so deserved it! My only complaint is I wish this were a full novel! I didn't get nearly enough of the goodness of Moses and Shirleen and her boys.

This was the perfect novella for Sherleen and her man and Moses. I loved it. This series is by far one of my favorite ever. But you cannot leave me with that epilogue and not write more Rock Chick books. Awesome thank you!

Seriously KA has done it again. While I wish it was longer (because it's never enough with KA) it was a nice visit with our old rock chick group. Nice to catch up with Roam and Sniff, and see this Rock Chick finally get her man.

If you are a super fan of Kristens' Rock Chick series or just someone looking for a great book then this is one for you! Kristen knows how to write a super contemporary romance, and this one delivers it with a KAPOW!

So hard to see the end of years of joy brought by the rock chick stories, time to go back and reread them again! Shirleen’s story was too short but still rich in getting her some good happiness and she deserved it!

I have to say, this made me tear up in more than one spot. I am so happy you have Shirleen her HEA! Sadly she and her man won't have a yours, mine and ours, family - and yet they strangely will, per the Epilogue.

I loved this novella featuring Shirleen and Moses. I am glad that Shirleen got her HEA. This one was a bit emotional. No drama. Just Shirleen getting her HEA. We got to see the Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch.

Thank you for sharing your birthday with me/us! This was the best surprise and an absolutely beautiful story. I laughed, I cried and now I want to know the rest! Roam and Sniff have stories too! Again thank you and anyone who is a Rock Chick needs to read this one also!

Such sad words " This concludes the rock chick series"! So happy Shirleen got her story. Can't wait for Roam and Sniffs story. I recently re-read Ava and Lukes story and was wondering if K. Ashley will write Dom and Sissies story, a mob spin off. I trsnsgress....nevertheless, such great storytelling! I love tge Rock Chick series!

Phenomenal ! I have never read a Kristen Ashley book that is easy to put down, even on rereads. Do yourself a favor and one click on every single book she has written or writes. I read an average of 60 books a year and she is still one of my favorite authors. Keep’em coming !

Love, love, love this series! Shirleen and Moses were the perfect finish to this series, although I have to say, I will never have enough of the hot bunch or the rock chicks! I really miss the coffee shop!

Just a great addition to the Rock Chick series. It was sweet and funny. I laughed and cry and felt my heart swell for Sherleen. That said, I did miss the sass and how no nonsense Sherleen’s character was portrait in the previous books. I still enjoyed the book and think that if you read the entire series this book is like the icing on the cake.

Kristen Ashley has a gift that gives never ends. As with all her books this story was magnificent. Shirleen's story was a long time coming and well worth the wait. Hopefully we get a full book on Roam and his HEA some day. Until then I can re-read all her stuff again for the 15th time. Love her work she is by far my favorite author ever!!

We finally got Shirleen’s HEA! Shirleen met this wonderful man, had her own adventure and to top it all knowing that her boys love and adore her. The epilogue though, feels like it was rushed and I got confused by the change of name from Roam to Roman and also Julien. BUT, overall, it was good and a reread is coming up!

I just can't explain the sweet written in this book. Its overwhelmingly touching between Shirleen & Moses, Shirleen & Roam, and Shirleen & Sniff. The book ended too soon thou... really wanted more!

What a wonderful closing of a chapter for the Rock Chicks and Hot Bunch, and the start of good things to come (you’ll know what I mean after the Epilogue.) We got to see ALL of the girls and guys, and I found it funny that it was the Hot Bunch who were doing the matchmaking this time around. But we all know how much they love Shirleen and have wanted her to find her HEA since they all did. I also loved seeing Shirleen’s two boys, Roam and Sniff, and how much they’ve grown in the 3 years since coming to her home. She definitely raised strong, future alpha men who wanted to protect their “mom.” I may have teared up during a few scenes, but they were happy tears.

So glad Shirleen got her happily ever after. Started out with a little too much of the clipped speech(real people, no matter how cool, just don’t talk like that) but evened out to a beautiful story.

I liked Shirleen’s story but thought I thought it would be more in depth. I loved that the Hot Bunch looks out for her. I wish the story included more for Moses and Shirleen. Also hope another book is on the way about Shirleen’s boys. But overall I enjoyed it. Just like all of her books.

I never leave reviews. When I grow up I want to be (write) like Kristen Ashley! As soon as I pass the 50% mark in her books, I start to panic; "no no don't let it be almost done!". Finishing a Ashley book creates dread, smiles, plotting and stalking for the next issue.

I haven't found a Kristen Ashley book yet that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed and this one didn't disappoint. My only issue was that it was over too soon.

I only hope she can find a way to continue the Rock Chick series as I'm not ready for it to end!

Kristen is one of a select few that I preorder every book!

Loved it! Definitely revisited Shirleen in all her glory, yet introduced to her vulnerable side.
Amazing how Kristen Ashley always manages to write from her character’s perspective and unique responsibility.
The Rock Chick break in scene was hilarious, as was the NI front desk scene with all the Hot Bunch.

Absolutely loved Shirleen's book! I'm so glad she found love. And she was reborn and figured out how to love again ?. I'm hoping and praying there is going to be another series coming our way to get the stories of Roam & Sniff. Only complaint... it could have been longer, but I say that with all of her books.

This book had just enough of all my favourite people to make me very happy - the hot bunch - love how they all show their love for Shirleen by getting involved in her business, the Rock Chicks, lots of Roam and Sniff. I love Roam and Sniff - my favourite part of this book was seeing more of the relationship between Shirleen and her boys, and how much they love her.

Shirleen and Moses, what a great couple they were. It was awesome to see Shirleen finally get her own man, and have the people she loves and cares about meddle in her life and relationship for a change! How good was the epilogue! KA writes THE BEST epilogues, I love reading them in every book she has. So good.

The saddest words ever are found at the end of this novella: "This concludes The Rock Chick Series. Thank you for reading." No! I don't want this series to end! I want to know more about the Rock Chicks and the men of NI and see what happens to Sniff and learn more about Roam! This can't be all!

Fans of Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series met Shirleen many books ago. She is the wise-cracking, heart-of-gold, ex-drug-dealing, foster mother, tough woman who runs Nightingale Investigations and runs with the Rock Chicks. At age 53, as Roam and Sniff are ready to graduate and leave her nest, Shirleen meets Moses at the grocery store. Moses is a smooth, good looking man who asks Shirleen out, and she has the wisdom to say no, because honestly...who gives in to those grocery store pickups? But, Shirleen is intrigued. The Hot Bunch finds out about it and makes it their mission to investigate Moses and play matchmaker for the two of them.

This is a short novella but it is fun to see all of our favorite characters updated and see Shirleen find happiness; she deserves her own insta-love after watching all of her Rock Chicks experience it. I think my favorite part of the book was the heart-melting sense of family that unites Shirleen, Roam, and Sniff. The ending was unexpected and leaves me wanting more. Can we get a Rock Chicks: Next Generation series? Please?

What a surprise to find myself back in Denver with the Rock Chicks and Hot Bunch!! I'm also so happy Shirleen got her Hot Bunch and her Happy Ending...yeah!!! This was a nice, short, sweet view into our favorite world. We got to see all our BFFs and their boys, the only one missing was Tex. I loved how Lee and the boys turned the tables and became the instigators, too funny! I'm always happy to see what our group is up to, this was a great surprise and worth a read.

TOO FREAKING SHORT - what a waste of money - read in a few hours. No substance - short story and not even that good of one. Daisy’s book wasn’t at all better either. She should STOP capitalizing on past success of the first 8 books - last good book was Ally and Ren’s story. Save your money and skip it.

This book was more I hoped it would be. Funky momma with a heart of gold who found redemption through giving her love away. My favor RC , for sure. Have your tissues ready for chapter five. The last sentence said it all. Sherleen was completely aware of how blessed she was. The guys, oh my goodness, it felt good to read that they were so protective of her Nd how the Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch were so invested in her happiness. She helped them all at one point or another and they were all determined that she would get her turn and that it would be through Misses Richardson. Hubba hubba. This book was missing nothing. I sincerely hope that Roam and Sniff get their stories. I cannot recommend this book and series enough.

Kristen Ashley is far and above the best story teller I’ve ever read. She grabs you and doesn’t let go till the final period is placed and your still hoping for more. Amazingly well written and funny laugh out loud read. If you haven’t read the Rock Chicks you’ve missed out. There is not a series that I haven’t enjoyed and looked forward to the next book.

All Shirleen and Moses ???

Sweet sweet pure love.

Now I need the boys stories of them find love and growing up. Maybe KA can make a 2nd generation of the Rock Chick and Hot Bunches children find their own love after we have Max and Stellas series like a cross breed of 2nd generation love across the KA hot bunch realm ??

Love. This book was awesome. Love how all the rock chicks and hot bunch united. To make sure shirleen found her happiness. Love that roam and sniff stood by her and made it official. It was a good novella but I wasn't real into Shirleen in the first place. I loved Moses and of course the boys, I just couldn't get fully involved with this book. Every other book of KA's, I have totally loved and read over and over, just not this one. I think it has to do with Shirleen's character and I never really connected with her in the Rock Chick's books. To me she was a background character that I just never thought about much. It was still a cute story.

What is better than a surprise drop from your favorite author? A surprise Rock Chick novella dropping from your favorite author, that's what! This latest, and final, Rock Chick entry features Shirleen Jackson, and like Shirleen, is absolutely fabulous.

What I loved about Rock Chick Reborn -

Moses. A man worthy of all of the goodness of Shirleen, and man enough to force her to see it.
Shirleen. She had a tough life, turned herself around and found her way to good. Her heart is pure gold. So, so delighted to be able to share hers and Moses' journey.
Roam and Sniff. So much goodness in those boys. I have loved them since Vance and Jules' story.

What I loved most about Rock Chick Reborn - The Hot Bunch as matchmakers extraordinaire. Partly because it was LMAO funny, but also because it showed the depth of feeling the guys have for Shirleen.

I laughed - the above mentioned Hot Bunch as matchmakers. Annette. The Rock Chicks. The scene in the Frozen Food aisle of King Soopers. The planner accoutrements. Indy's reference to Eddie's protection-buying-for-other-dude's displeasure.

I cried - The frozen food scene at King Soopers, Shirleen trying to work past her self-doubt, "Mom". And for some reason, when Mr. Robinson tells Shirleen to call him "Keith", I freakin' lost it. The Epilogue.

I longed for more - The EPILOGUE. Please tell me we will get Roam and his girl's story.

Bottom line - Love, forgiveness (especially of self), choices, responsibility of action...All the best of the Rock Chick goodness wapped up in a great story. Don't miss this one, it's awesome. Thank you, KA!

I have never cried and then turned around and laughed so much in one book! What a great surprise book and I love reconnecting with the old RCHB gang! I miss them so much and wish I could wipe my brain to be able to read them all for the first time again. Please don't say this is the end! I want spin-offs!!! Give us Roam & Sniff as adults and meeting their own Rock Chicks (like you just hinted at!!!!)....maybe that's coming in the Mace & Stella spin-off??? Ah the torture of waiting!!

Reborn is an understatement for what this book say's. Shirleen has been a constant from the start and has been a mainstay throughout it all and to see her get her story told with so much love and truth was beyond any words you could think of and to see her finally get her own Hot alpha man with an amazing name of Moses was icing on the cupcake. Oh, and that little snippet of Foam was the sprinkles on top.

“We gotta be in our nows, … Not in the future, which we don’t know what’s gonna happen and we got no control over it anyway. The now. Right now. Where it’s good.”

YAY! Shirleen Jackson finally gets her own story. AND a HEA, too!!

Fans of the Rock Chick series know that Shirleen shows up early on, actually as a criminal boss but as someone who really bonds with the other women and has a heart of gold. She and Darius later gave up their criminal operations, and Shirleen goes to work for Lee as his receptionist.

I LOVED reading about this gorgeous middle-aged black woman who was described in the earlier books as having “beautiful mocha skin and the biggest afro I’d ever seen, but it suited her perfectly. She had magnificent eyes."

I think it is more than fitting that on the occasion of Ms. Kristen Ashley’s 50th birthday, that she wrote a story about a 53-year-old woman!! Shirleen had a terrible marriage (to Leon) and is COMPLETELY taken by surprise by the handsome and KIND Moses Richardson. Who of course, since this is a Rock Chick book after all, gets the full investigation by the Hot Bunch before Shirleen even goes on one date!

Shirleen and Moses “meet cute” and it is all beauty from that point forward.

“I’d lived through hell. And there I was, near tears in the bakery section of King Soopers. Because I wanted a badass. I wanted to be adored, beloved, worshipped by a good man who saw nothing but good in me. I’d wanted that for as long as I could remember. And it wasn’t going to happen. Not for me. Never for me. Because life was unfair. But the worst of it was… I’d made it that way.”

Expect another fast-paced, funny, heart-warming and sexy story and enjoy this gift from Kristen Ashley to her devoted fans. Happy ever-after guaranteed.

“I love my now.”

I chose the rating cause the story felt "phoned" in. It lacked the punch and excitement of all the previous RC books. I was disappointed that her epilogue wasn't the same caliber as she usually writes. I'm looking forward to her Chaos book in July.

" God gave me that shot. So maybe He hadn't given up on me. Maybe He believed in me enough to give me a second chance. And then when I refused to let Him down... Upon me He bestowed His blessings."
Shirleen Jackson "Rock Chick Reborn"

5 Oowee Stars... Anyone who has read the "Rock Chick" series knows the beauty that is Shirleen Jackson... Her strength, perseverance, selflessness, and loyalty bleed into every decision, every choice, every relationship she undertakes... To match her, she needs a solid presence of all that makes a man a MAN; she finds all she ever dreamed in Moses Richardson... Honor, honesty, devotion, and let's not forget unbelievable sex appeal... Humor and heart pulls these two together into a captivating romance that maintained that sense of relatability through it's genuine connection... Pain of the past, promise for the future, and all the moments in between leading to a life of love, laughter, and hope... My heartstrings are always plucked when I watch characters as adoring parents; especially those that fight life's obstacles to form that everlasting bond... The connection between Shirleen and her boys was beyond touching and completely heartfelt pouring with emotion that bled truth, protectiveness, hope, and love... The elements of family and friendship taking center stage with Roam, Sniff, The Rock Chicks, and The Hot Bunch brought this entire story full circle in a way only Kristen Ashley can, with pure undiluted beauty:)

Kristen Ashley is my number one go to author. I have read every book she has written and have never not loved each one. Shirleen is maybe even a little more crazy than the other Rock Chicks. She’s had her share of bad in her life and has lived through it and come out on the other side thinking she will never be deserving of true love from a man. She would be wrong. Moses came into her life to prove her wrong. As Rock Chick books go, this one was different in that there was no crazy antics, just a story that brought a more in depth look at Shirleen. It was an awesome book that showed her sins, the consequences, her awakening and her rebirth. It gave us a better look at her boys Rome and Sniff and I couldn’t help but love them even more than in previous books. Moses was perfection and I just loved him to death. Kristen Ashley once again rocked it. The epilogue was epic for Shirleen and Moses

I’m a huge Kristen Ashley fan ever since I opened the cover of my first Rock Chick book. I LOVE THIS SERIES!

This is Shirleens story. Shirleen has had a hard life. Made some poor choices out of necessity and fear. But she’s come a long way and pulled herself out of the life she had and created a new one that involves raising her two foster sons, managing an office full of hot alpha males and spending time with her girls and fellow Rock Chicks.

Enter Moses Richards....who sees Shirleen and decides she’s not going to evade or avoid him even if he has to run his shopping cart into hers to make it happen.

This book was great. It was sass and humor you come to love and expect from the Rock Chicks and their Hot Bunch Guys.....Tender and touching from beginning to end it was worth the read....

I hope this isn’t the end....more Rock Chicks please!

If you are already a Rock Chick fan, you’ll be happy to know this romance not only gives Shirleen a beautiful, good man; it also gives us a chance to see how Roam and Sniff are doing. The usual rock chick cast is also here - just the right amount so we see them in Shirleen’s life, but not so much that they distract from Shirleen. As per usual, Ms. Ashley does a fabulous job of making each person come alive so not only do you feel you already know them from page 1, you then get to feel touched and moved as their stories unfold and you learn things you didn’t know before.

Shirley has always been a solid force of nature; it was a really nice surprise to find out she gets her own chance to shine in the spotlight. I recommend this book. Oh, btw - their ‘meet-cute’ is particularly charming ?

I've been DYING for Shirleen's love story. She was such a big part of all of the Rock Chick-Hot Bunch love stories, she really deserved her own happy ending. Moses was the perfect combination of alpha and sweet, and the perfect man to kill Shirleen's demons. It was so great to catch up with the gang and Shirleen's boys and I CAN NOT WAIT to see what's yet to come with them. Rock on!

I am a huge fan of the whole Rock Chick series! When KA announced her new book I was excited to hang with my old friends and knew wherever she took me it would be amazing!!! I was so right! My only complaint about this book was it was too short! I wanted more Shirleen deserves all the love and in this book she found it. This book had me laughing and crying all the happy tears of love and beauty. This is a beautiful story, and can probably stand alone, but to truly appreciate all the beauty you should read the rock chick series first. At the very least read Rock Chick Renegade.

So I must confess this is my first Rock Chicks Read. I have read so much KA over the years, from Mountain Men, to Bikies and the Chaos crew to the Colorado series, magdalene, Unfinished Heroes, Honey series and of course all the stand alones and possibly my favourite to this day The ‘Burg series; that I’ve always just let the rock chick series slide and enjoyed the many cameos the characters have made over the years in the books i have read.
Of course, things don’t always go to plan, so my accidental one click and buy all things KA meant this ended up in my Kindle Library.

I LOVED reading about this gorgeous middle-aged black woman
Shirleen, devoted grand ma and her journey to Love after a rocky life had and how she is taken by surprise by the handsome Moses Richardson.

Wow! What fun, what beauty, what an inspiration and what a sense of peace this novella delivers on. I now have but have no choice but to go back to the beginning and start this journey.

My favourite quote “We gotta be in our nows, … Not in the future, which we don’t know what’s gonna happen and we got no control over it anyway. The now. Right now. Where it’s good.”

It’s not all laughs and good times as we discover more about Shirleen’s past but it’s perfect KA reading...
What a wonderful closing of a chapter and excitingly the start of more wonderful things to come as hinted by KA in the Epilogue.

I really enjoyed the conclusion to the Rock Chicks although I am sad to see them go. Shireen has been a character in almost every book. She has been so much that she deserves some happiness.

Lee was smart enough to see this and step in. I considered this Shireen's journey to complete acceptance and forgiveness. It was an amazing journey. And that epilogue was the best.

Excellent, fun, sweet, but quick, read. I loved it because Shirleen definitely deserved a hot guy badass. I was only disappointed because everything was too perfect and because it was short, there wasn't much plot. But still an awesome, entertaining read for any fan of the Rock Chick series.

Rock chick reborn...

What went wrong? Where did the passion go? How can someone who’s books I’ve re-read multiple times be the same person who wrote the disappointment that was rock chick reborn.
From the first chapter it was a let down, even the style of writing was different.
It was SO rush, so short, no storyline...
Was it a book deadline? A commitment you had no heart for...
If future Kristen Ashley books will be such a disappointment I won’t read them again.
Genuinely heartbroken that my favourite author could become so lazy to end such an incredible series.

The book is missing at least 10 chapters. What a disappointment.
Sincerely

One very disappointed fan ?

I'm so glad she made another rock chick book but so sad to see it officially end. Short but sweet and fun novella. I'm glad Shirleen got her happily ever after but I was hoping we would get a Roam or Sniff book too. Glad we had some Hot Bunch POV's!

I am so happy that Shirleen got her own story. As in most Kristen Ashley books it's hard to put down until it's finished. What else I am though is disappointed that Sniff and Roam don't get their own. The last in the Rock Chick series? Nooo...it can't be.

I was sucked into this book, was such a great read, SOOO Excited for Shirleen, but then all of a sudden after her and Moses 'did it', it jumped to the epilogue... There is a HUGE gap of nothing. Would have liked to seen the introduction to the Rock Chick group, to meeting his kids, possibly the ex-wife, something, anything... I take it we're gonna get a Roam and Sniff book since it didn't give us much more on them either, except that Roam was getting married to one of Moses' daughters?

I hope I'm not the only one who finds it problematic that she's writing as Shirleen ---- Kristen Ashley has always come across as very white. As much as I liked the Rock Chick series in the past I felt I noticed the use of racial stereotypes.

The Rock Chicks are hot gals and their hot guys. I was so excited when I received Kristen's news letter with a tease about surprising us with a birthday special edition of the Rock Chicks. I loved the Rock Chicks, have every book on both kindle and audio. Have been waiting for Kristen to write about the Rock Chicks in LA with Mace and Stella and instead we get a story about a grandma.....I done with
Kristen. She hasn't written anything fresh for so long I'm tired of wasting my time and money on her stories. So sad, she was my favorite
author. I recommend JD Nixon and the Heller series for a fun read....unfortunately book 7 hasn't been released but don't let that stop you from
enjoying books 1 through 6. It's like waiting for Kristen to write book 10 about the Rock Chicks in LA.
