The Untethered

Roble is a fascinating character, and you'll see why from the very beginning. The way his story unfolds is thrilling, and his narrative is told in a way that makes it so easy for the reader to relate to it. Southwick's ability to describe flight is also otherworldly, making this an absolutely must-read for anyone with even a mild interest in aviation. That said, I think there's truly something here for everyone. The character development is exquisite, and if you're a fan of thrillers, you won't be disappointed.

Wow, I never would've imagined that this book could be as intense as it is. It was a real eye-opener for me since it really hit close to home. The self reliance and freedom the characters embody as they realize their dreams is something I hope to aspire one day as I follow my passion to become an art professor.

The element of the story that made this book great was the character development. Sometimes, with novels that have a number of characters whose stories intertwine, the characters can seem a bit flat, and one-dimensional. However, these characters are intriguing and complex, and the way they are connected is unique to any story I've read before. There is some technical talk of planes which isn't exactly "my thing" but I was able to get past this and really enjoy the development of the story!

Pretty poor attempt. Read the entire book hoping that somehow the various absurd story lines would come together. NOT. Perhaps the kernel of a good story can be found within, but a horrible waste of my time.

This book is a great read, Reader must pay attention, as the movement from one scene to another is quite fast. I loved that my mind was challenged to think outside the box, my intellect was challenged as well as my emotions charged. Great writing style allows for stretching the imagination. 5 stars!!!

I just finished the reading portion of the experience that is this book. The intellectual/emotional thoughts & questions will last much longer. I am grateful I chose this book, as jets & technology don't do anything for me normally. The Unteathered is so very much more than that.
