Book 4) by Richelle Mead (August 25 - Blood Promise (Vampire Academy

This is a good and different series. A school for vampires and a school for their "protectors". A new take on an old genre. The characters draw you in and keep you interested. Note: This particular novel is a bit long winded and, I think, a bit much for the general tone and feel of the other books. A bit shocking in places.

We know from the start of Blood Promise that Rose has set out to find and kill her true love, Dimitri. That makes it a very hard book to review, because for me - and I would bet that most readers find themselves in the same boat - my opinion of the book as a whole was determined very strongly by what happened at the end. By how I felt about Rose's success or failure. Well, clearly I can't say anything about that here, because I don't want to spoil it for other readers.

So, here's what I can say:

(1) I was both pleased and disappointed at the end.

(2) I will definitely keep reading this series - it was and remains one of my favorites.

I think that's about it.

Nice continuation of the series. Good plot twists. Some predictably, but not so bad that you feel like not,reading. And it is entertaining, so who really cares? Looking forward to,the next installment.

As mentioned before page turner I was in complete shock and it brought happiness into my VA world. I'm a helpless romantic. This book will not disappoint. Read the series it's really good I can't believe I waited this long to read it.

My emotions were getting in the way of knowing what was right. Usually I can detach myself and get annoyed with the character for making mistakes or missing the ibvious. This book sucked me in so far, that didn't happen.

This series is probably one of the best vampire series I have ever read, probably one of the best series in general. I almost never get emotionally attached to characters in a book, but Mead is such an amazing writer. She makes the characters come to life so easily. The situation between rose and dimitri was incredible - had me crying a little bit - but there is just so much emotion woven into this book. It definitely deserves a five star and I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of Spirit Bound. :)

I started reading this series when Vampire Academy was the only book out, so I'm not a late-comer to the series. I've always found the bond issue between Lissa and Rose a little annoying at times, and I'm glad that this book primarily focuses on Rose's relationship with Dimitri (who is the best character in the series). When the bond issue does come into play, Lissa isn't as co-dependent as she has been in the past. Nice change! This is by far the best of the four books, and I'm looking forward to Book 5.

I love the Vampire Academy series and I am reading them to quickly. When I start one book, I can't let it go until I finish it which infuriate my parents. The book are good for teenager and adult a like, my mother like them also. The writing is good and the story are very coherent. I am 14 years old and I think the setting is so close to real life than it looks like it could happen, I like this type a fiction.

I cannot put this book down! I am running through the series faster than ever before. It's easy to picture the action in my minds eye. I would recommend these books to family, friends, or anyone! Thanks!

This is the best vampire series ever! It's beautifully written! An amazing author with a very creative and detailed mind! This makes the Twilight series look like even more trash than it already is! For any paranormal, action, romance, political view lovers! Give this series a chance!!!

LOVE these characters, you can relate to them in a certain way. Beautiful way of writing-PLEASE MAKE THE NEXT MOVIE, CAUSE I WANT TO SEE HOW THIS ONE WOULD LOOK!!!! Thank you, Richelle Mead-for this beautiful book.

I was really hesitant about starting this series. I really love vampire books, the argenou family and of course the twilight series and my favorite the black dagger brotherhood series, but these rank right up there with those! I can't wait to dive into the next one!!

I was recommended this series by a friend. I bought them one at a time, but ended up buying all of them in a week! I couldn't put them down. It is a great, new look at the vampire world. I was tired of the "usual" (and boring) view that has been presented recently and wanted something different and this series has definitely met my needs!

awesome awesome series. this is the 4th bk of this series and i was done with it in less than a week. I so cant wait for bk five to come out. its so addictive. Twilight is still the best series but this series is another good read.

The emotional roller coaster this book takes you on is just so convoluted. However, at the end, after everything unravels, I was left with this optimistic feeling of hope. The odds almost seem insurmountable. I cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series!

Richelle Mead does not disappoint in this the 4th book of the Vampire Academy Series. Rose's journey in Siberia is one of twists and turns and when she finally is found by Dimitri...every lustful desire is released. She is now torn between the dhampir she knew and the strigoi who is now in front of her. Mead tests the waters carefully for her romantic scenes and plays it like a pro. Every whisper,every breath,every touch,transcends from the pages of her book right into your heart! This one will keep you yearning for more!

As usual the part was amazing. I thought the story was enticing, and it left you on the edge of your seat wanting more. The only thing I disliked about it was how slowly and moved into maybe chapter 28. Very long time but very worthwhile. How so? Well i'd say to read for yourself!
