I really love this author and this series. But it's hard to get involved with these characters and experience the constant lack of satisfaction. Like not getting paid for their work unless there is some sacrifice, not reaching the goal of remedying Leonidis's neuro problem, not finding Jelana. Seems to me that there is enough going on in the universe that the accomplishment of at least one of these things could have been done by now without losing the continuation of the series. Please move the story along !!! I need to see and feel some true happiness! No one is getting any in more ways than one! Still addicted.

I love how well written everything by Lindsay Buroker is, and how I can read her stories and feel as though I am a part of them. I am definitely never disappointed. And now I can't wait for the next 3 books!!

A talented word smith is that Buroker lady. The story unfolds as if she is sitting next to you reading every sentence. It is so easy to read and so engrossing that I find myself reading chunks and then the end nears and you don't want that. I need the crew back. They are my family!
Encrypted (Encrypted Series Book 1) :: Unraveled (Heritage of Power Book 4) :: Conspiracy (The Emperor's Edge Book 4) :: How to Live on Twenty-Four Hours a Day :: Perilous Hunt: Fallen Empire, Book 7

I really love the author and the series!
This book seemed a little bit bleaker then the previous ones, but I love the characters, the banter, the story and everything else about it. Money are tight, future becomes more and more uncertain for Leonidas and Alisa, the staff is lost, the kids are missing and leads are scarce... Things have gotten even more complicated and I can't wait to read the next book in the series, which I hope will be soon!
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Alisa is pretty sure she'll find her missing daughter on the Mafia-run Cleon Moon, since it is the location of breakaway Starseers secret hangout ... but it's also the location of rival Mafia groups (one of whom is the White Dragon sect, who are after Alisa's barbecue sauce-obsessed security officer's head).
The usual fun and games ensue; Alisa and Leonidas grow closer despite his "restrictions," Abelardus continues to mess with Alisa's mind--and there are swamp-dwelling dinosaurs.
If that doesn't sound like fun in space, then this isn't the book for you. Then again, if you made it this far into the series, you've come to love the wise-cracking Captain Alisa Marchenko's ability to keep this crazy crew together and somehow enlist them all to help her find her daughter, despite the bigger agendas playing out.

Cleon Moon is the fifth installment of Lindsay Buroker's Fallen Empire series. The characters continue to grow and change as individuals, with Cleon Moon really delving into their foibles, habits, backgrounds, and general personas. Captain AlisaMarchenko is sassy and quick witted. Her conversations with Leonidas and pretty much her whole crew are delightfully tongue in cheek. If you are looking for adventure, clever characters, and a whole lot of action this is a must read. With each installment the story of Captain Alisa Marchenko is a compelling tale of a mother in search of her daughter and a woman seeking happiness in the most unlikely places.

After reading the first book I was encouraged that this series could be a good read. Unfortunately, this is not the case, but it could have been. The following books became slower and slower until becoming any slower they would be backing up. Very little, if anything, was accomplished in this last book, and the animosity between the robot and brain guy has become tedious. And what value is the Beck character other than an excuse to write more dreary pages. These five books should not have been more than one, perhaps two, but barely. The author can, and should, do better than this.

Another fascinating story into the world of Fallen Empire.... This book is number five. Each book brings more depth to the realm the Lindsay Buroker has created. The characters evolve, the story twists, new excitement unfolds.... It's all good. The tension and banter between characters creates an additional element to the books that are fun. Recommend? Yep, wholeheartedly!
Additionally, I was thinking that Yumi needs to prepare a tonic for Leonidas' issue. It might create an interesting twist.

Again, more of the same as the previous books and still a solid action adventure story.
I found the world building much more vivid this time and Alisa seemed to joke less, but I attribute that to the heavy situations she gets placed in. The tone of the book was also somewhat darker but still had the touch of quippy dialogue and humor.

Buroker gives advice to fledgling authors on how to market books. But it is not savvy that ultimately appeals to me. It's tight writing, really great editing and characters that grow with the storyline. The author is prodigious... And I appreciate it every moment she spends on her craft. The series deserves extra stars for maintaining quality in each installment.

This series continues to be enjoyable, book after book. Each book is a rollicking tale, with a cool plot of its own and they all form the part of a larger story arc. The character interactions remain consistent and there is fun, romance, and danger enough to keep me flipping pages. On to the next!

I've really enjoyed this series thus far. The heroine doesn't have any obvious super powers except her piloting skills and the ability to wield snark like a weapon which is a rather refreshing change from my normal fare. The story line is engaging, even if there haven't been any great suprises or plot twists yet. All in all a fun easy read with characters you end up caring about.

I have fallen for Leonidas. He and Alissa have a wonderful relationship given their rocky start. Once again they are too late to rescue Alissa's daughter. Abelardus is the person you love to hate. He is arrogant and frustrating. But every story should have a hero/heroine and a semi vllian. Can't wait for the next book. Kudos Lyndsay. I love your style.

Yes, I really like this author's books. From the snarky Captain to the pessimistic engineer, to the grumpy doctor and the strong silent mech man, this series has it all. Action, adventure, mystery and a bit of romance. I am off to get the next book in the series. I have a day off and plan to spend it with my nose in the next book.

What a great "next chapter" to the Star Nomad series. Alyssa and her band take another chance at locating her daughter only to have more mayhem erupt. My heart sank when Leonidas was injured and comatose. Who can't understand her crush on the big guy? What do the Starseer's have in store for the next installment. Can't wait!

Great , Awesome, and Unbelievable funny at times. With intrigue and suspense, this makes for a entertaining series. Will she get a whole man. Will she ever evolve. Most of all will she ever find her daughter again. Looking forward to the next three books. Thanks for keeping us addicted to this unique story line.
