Great book! I started paying attention to how my body react to different foods, and realized my body actually doesn't like that much sugar, even though my doctor said my glucose level is fine. Bought another two while on sale as gift to friends.

I admired the frank outlook on the dangerous effect of sugar, featuring the same message found in That Sugar Film (the store movie). In America, it takes Herculean effort to abide by these recommendations. Sugar is completely pervasive in my kitchen, and I thought I leaned on the healthier side of eating. As a 27 year-old, I'm happy if I can decrease the amount of sugar I intake by increasing my consumption of avocados, eggs, fresh fruits and veggies, etc. I can't promise a complete removal of wheat right now, but I like having the knowledge to help others with their own choices.

Awesome book well worth not only the read, but real consideration. I applaud the authors not only for having spines, but for presenting this great information in a readable and cohesive book. Respect.

To say this book is informative, would be an understatement. As another peripherial nerve surgeon, and physician, I will say it's brillant. This fills in the blanks of my traditional teachings and is changing my understandings. After, reading the book, I am going to recommend it to my patients. There are a few areas that are technically over there head, but the content is right on target.
If you want to learn why things work, and help yourself....Read this book!!!!!
Dr. Jacoby, asked why from his experiences, and you should too.
Thank you Dr. Jacoby...this book is much needed....

A revelation about the POISON that is sugar! I would give it 5 stars except that Jacoby recommends a terrible diet in my opinion, full of dairy and fatty meat, which is why I hesitated to even read the book. I'm glad I did, though, it's an absolute life-changer / life-saver!

Excellent book with really cutting edge research that should change the nerve damage paradigm ... if only science and medicine were REAL science instead of stuck in the mud traditions so much of the time.

I expected more. Its very repetitive. Not worth the money. I also think this is geared more towards people who are morbidly obese and on the verge of Diabetes. For people looking to cut sugar and lose a few pounds this is definitely not the book for you.

Full of information that is life changing. Encouraging to know that it's not to late to make changes. I'm a 56 year old female who has determined to get healthy and stop the sugar addiction cycle that leaves me fatigued, over weight and mentally exhausted. Life is to short to live like that anymore. Today.......is the day for change. I'm going to go make some bacon and eggs!

Great information on what really happens to our bodies when we eat sugar (and other crap "food"). The horror stories that Dr. Jacoby shares about peripheral neuropathy and where it really starts should scare anyone who reads this into cleaning up their eating habits. I appreciated the science that he shares, it is dry at times, but I felt that the understanding that I gained was very beneficial. I would recommend this book to family, friends, anyone and everyone that wants to be healthy and strong for a better quality of life in the long run. We should all have a better understanding of what we are putting in our bodies, the so called "nutrition facts" we are being sold by the government to line the pockets of big pharma and big Agra business are appalling. I consider this book a must read and have already begun recommending it to friends and family.

I'm almost done reading Sugar Crush. This book is revolutionary in that it gives an entirely new perspective on the harm of sugar. The connection between nerve damage and sugar and processed carbs is a link that i have never heard before. Even though I do not have noticeable nerve damage, I am a recovering carb addict and I know that it has affected my health and now I know the reason for some nerve issues that I have. This book is very readable. The nerve science gets a little heavy although the writers need to do this to defend themselves in the medical community. I highly recommend this if you want a perspective on your health that has not been written about before this book.

Sugar Crush is a must read for the everyday American interested in identifying harmful foods that have been shown to elevate risks of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and heart and vessel breakdown. This is a lifestyle book that will leave the reader with the ability to make smart decisions regarding food selection to improve their health and decrease their pain. After reading Sugar Crush, the reader will no longer be able to use the excuse " I didn't know those foods were so dangerous to myself and my families health."

This book started off great with wonderful information and showed how important it was to manage diet and Sugar. 1/4 of the way through it gets super technical and boring/depressing. I couldn't finish it. Just too much. So you might gleam a lot of useful information out of it but it is easier to watch Netflix documentaries to see how bad sugar is than read this cause it is just so extreme and depressing.

Most important book I have read on sugar related to neuropathy. Suffering neuropathy in my left leg has made my balance precarious. Using the methods stated, I hope improvement will allow for better balance when I go on a planned trip which requires a large amount of time walking.

GREAT read.... goes thru many studies from many disciplines to cohesively describe the effects of sugar on many organs of the body. Excellent and it has changed my life. A surprisingly easy read for the amount of information in it.

Author has good intentions - he wants to alert readers to the dangers of diabetic neuropathy. However there is an absolutely huge flaw with this book: it never mentions that there are many other causes and kinds of neuropathy that have nothing to do with diabetes. How this book ever made it through editing without someone pointing this out, I don't know. But it's appalling regardless.

The author compounds this mistake by asserting, without evidence, that diabetic neuropathy is also the sole cause of many other problems, from restless legs to skin tags. This is the wildest speculation on his part; he has no evidence and just as with neuropathy, there are other well known causes for these various disorders that he does not mention. Again, this is absolutely irresponsible behavior on the part of the author. He badly weakens the good parts of his message by speculating in this fashion.
