Wonderfuly story of 4 generations of women, 2 books: Her Mother's Hope and Her Daughter's Dream
The women face real everyday problems and help comes from their trust and praise of the Lord. Always enjoy Francine Rivers books.

Every family suffers pain and rejection through a misunderstanding of another's true motives at one time or another. Marta's Legacy is a warm and heartfelt journey through 4 generations of women who labored under their misconceptions of being loved and accepted. Open, Holy Spirit led communication is key to the abundant life that Jesus Christ died for us to have. I could not put this book down; it took me through a roller coaster ride of emotions with sad and happy tears. Every woman should read this two book series. AWESOME!

I loved how Francine took some very deep issues and intertwined God's wonderful grace. The topics each character dealt with are so real to the point of allowing the readers to see themselves and feel if the individual characters can find God in the midst of their pain then why can't we.

This is a wonderful portrait of the life and times that it occurred. If was so easy to relate to the women involved in the story. It also shows God's love for us no matter what mistakes we make. Great Writer - great Book!

I absolutely loved this book. I often wondered how much research it must have taken to write from so many perspectives, and which such detail. I realized, later, that much of the story mirrors Francine River's life.
It's beautiful, and it has me thinking about my own mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. It has me thinking about what I will pass on one day...

This is the continuation of Marta's legacy "Her Mother's Hope", and I have to say that this is one of the most beautifully written stories I have ever read. The story line is so true to my own life and after reading "Redeeming Love" and this series, I can't get enough of Francine River's. I am reading the "Atonement Child" right now and can't put it down. I hope that these books will bless you as much as they have me.

This book kept me reading until I was through. Francine Rivers is one of the best writers ever.
Her Mothers Hope and Her Daughter's Dream had me involved as if I were one of those featured in
the book. I wish there were more truly good books like these two. Thank you Francine Rivers!

Very good story! Read "Her Mother's Hope" first because the story starts there. Francine Rivers ALWAYS comes through! If you haven't read her "Mark of the Lion" series, you've missed a GREAT series! "A Voice in the Wind" is the best historical fiction--in fact, the best book, I've ever read!

I read this book almost 2 years ago & recommended it to my sister because we have similar tastes in books. She was unable to locate it in her regional library & when she looked online had trouble navigating the internet. I decided to look & found the hardback version at a very reasonable price so purchased it for her & had it sent directly to her in TX. She enjoyed it very much & has passed it on to another lady.

Amazing story continues. I have found in the past, that the follow up book usually is not as good as the first. I'm glad to say it's not true with this story. The second is as wonderful as the first!

I enjoyed reading this because it covers three generations of a family and how their lives could have been better had they been able to communicate their feelings more. I recommend you read the book preceeding this one to get the whole story on Marta.

Great writer. Have enjoyed her books thus far. I just got tired of the stories and family by the end of the book and was ready to move on. I thought the last "death" was over the top and ruined the book for me.

After reading the first book I bought and read the next one immediatlely. I could relate to 4 generations of women as I am 90 and my mother more or less "took" my son. Whenever we went to any thing such as a banquet she took David's and hand my husband and I each took one of my girls. In spite of that Mother and I were very close and I still miss her.

Masterful attention to detail and wonderful characters, as in the first book of this two-part series. The sexual content is mostly about two different characters having abusive experiences, so therefore, it is not about that as a relationship. The romance part does include some sexual content. I would say this should be for mature readers. It is graphic enough that one understands that it was abusive, but not so graphic as to spoil the story for the reader. That part is mainly very sad and painful for all the characters concerned. I loved this story and I loved the interpersonal repair of relationships that happened. It is a beautiful story of redemption and restoration of love and very realistic about how difficult that can be.

Wonderfully written book. Fast-read. It is a continuation of "Her Mother's Hope", which really needs to be read first to follow through. I did have a difficult time following who was who, but for the most part, an excellent book.

Francine Rivers did it again. She is my favorite author and I always enjoy reading her novels. I had issues for many years with my own mother and this series helped me to see things from a different perspective. Now I try to see past what my mom says and understand what message she is trying to communicate. I highly recommend this novel and all of her novels (especially the Mark of the Lion series).

"Her Daughter's Dream" was absolutely wonderful. Francine Rivers never fails and this is another proof in the pudding. It was sad to see what happened in the end and I was a bit upset. However, it was realistic. It truly made me think why my own mother does certain things and encourages me to really seek it out. Like so many other readers, I wanted to go in the book and scream at some people...but it makes me wonder...how many times God does that and all he can do is just...read. Get this book...it truly makes you think about how what we do really affects our children for eternity. Be blessed!!!

I was introduce to the writer Francine Rivers by my dear friend of many years.
Marta's Legacy was the first read and was detailed and a joy to read.
This book took me on a journey which showed life of a woman and the challenges which became her strength and also her weakness to some ectent, which also affected the generations of the women in that family until few generations later.
Excellent and a Most enjoyable and inspirational read....

In my opinion, nothing tops the first two books of the Mark of the Lion series (Hadassah is such a compelling character), but Her Mother's Hope and Her Daughter's Dream come close. I found myself drawn in by characters I could relate to, to the point that I felt I knew them, liked them and cared about what happened next to them. That made the books hard to put down, and I wanted still more when I came to the end of Her Daughter's Dream. It doesn't get any better than that!

Wonderful series. The characters are all believable and endearing. A story line that all mothers and daughters can relate to on some level. The series is a perfect Mother's Day Gift. It grabs your heart and doesn't let go.

This is an excellent book and I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys life and relationship novels. The first book in the series is also excellent. I especially enjoyed reading Her Daughter's Dream on my new Kindle Fire.
