This is a really wonderful book too! I purchased it for my daughter who first gave me a copy of it, but I believe I mailed it to a friend in a share a book type of chain letter. I read the book after Cindy asked me if I still had it so she could read it again..but I didn't, so I purchased it from you and then read it again myself and sent it on to Cindy. I have ready many of Francine Rivers' books and have loved most of them. She is a good writer, very interesting, and I like how she connects it to faith and God. They are not full of sex and violence and that is important to me,

This was a book on growing, loving, learning, work in marriages, and believing in the help of God in your life. I enjoyed how it was about the parrallel lives of two related women;. one from pioneer days, one of today It was well written.

I think this is a wonderful story of second chances. Second chances in life, in relationships, in marriage and in returning to the Lord after we've been away from Him for a long while. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

The Scarlet thread is a great cross generational book. It is very in touch with the culture today and troubles in marriages. It also touches history and how marriage was effected by the pioneer culture. Francine Rivers is a great author!

I could hardly put down The Scarlet Thread - it was a magnificent story - one that a lot of women can relate too as their husbands excel in their career. We as women sometimes think only of ourselves as she did in the story - but we need the Lord to shake us up and straighten us out. Love Francine Rivers publications.

I enjoyed the interweaving of the stories of the two women. Particularly was interested in the historical details of traveling the Oregon trail and of the Indian culture. Did not think the scarlet thread of the title was played up enough though. Some might completely miss the first reference to it early in the story.

Francine Rivers is an exceptional story teller. She tackles tough issues with Grace as the reader is lifted spiritually to a better place by sharing the faith walk in these character's lives. It's amazing to me and leaves me wanting to keep strengthening and honoring my relationship with God.

Very good novel. Francine Rivers is always a safe bet if you want to read a page turner. I didn't like this book as much as I have her historical fiction. I feel like the ending leaves something to be desired, hence the 4 star rating. But overall a good read, good characters, interesting plotlines.

I loved reading Scarlet Thread. couldn't put the book down. The lives of both ladies was edifying to my christian walk. I realized my own faults and made me appreciate all my life. Francine Rivers is anointed to reach many of us for the glory of God. Thank you.

I have had many struggles in life and marriage. The storyline of this book allows you to live and grow through the aches and triumphs of the characters. It allows for a defining in moment in our walk toward Christ and the peace he offers to us.

Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors and she did not disappoint here. In fact, I think this may be one of my favorites now. She weaves two lives from two separate times in history together so that the stories flow together seamlessly. The characters are so real and believable that you just get sucked into their lives. This story resonates with everyone because you either have lived it or know someone who has. I could hardly put it down.

Francine gets to the heart of women in this book. Her frank, yet compassionate insight into our honest feelings is fresh and soothing while convicting at the same time. Great book, I highly recommend it.
