Easy read, easy process! This book was amazing and I highly recommend this to anyone who plans to potty train their child soon. My son is 3 and I knew it was time. I read the book a week prior to implementing the plan and gathered the necessary materials (i.e. potty trainer, M&Ms, sticker chart, underwear). If you follow this exactly as she recommends, you will have success. We're currently on Day 3 and my son is accident free.

The book is a great starter to potty training and getting great techniques and verbiage. However our daughter is a few weeks into training and still not potty trained. Four days was unrealistic for us though. My husband and I don’t have availability to say home all day everyday so that’s a big reason why. So we’re takin our time and staying consistent when we are home. It’s a tough process and each kiddo is very different.

This book made the potty training process go so smoothly for our three year old son. If you follow the advice in the book, chances are it will work for your child. Having the first three days completely screen free was a very important part of the process for us.

Very happy with this purchase, not only because it worked for my 2.5 year old son but It it was also a very easy read. I certainly don't have time to read books these days and this was very easy to get through/put down and pick up again. AND it worked for us!!!

Definitely great tips! Some things are common sense, but for me it really helped to hear (rather read) someone else say it, to remind yourself of it. We just did this method and my son is doing great on Day 4. He's not at the point where he can go on his own or always tell me before he has to go, but that's something she doesn't expect to happen within the 3 days. Overall it was really helpful for me!

I bought both . This one does have some positives: it’s short. It might work for an older child that cares about being a big boy. It breaks down for you kids types of personalities. It gives you a list of foods that encourage peeing.
The negative: in younger children the tight fit underwear tricks the child into thinking it’s just another diaper and the child will actually wait to pee in the underwear because they feels “safe”.
The oh crap book works.
Basically you want to potty train? Raise temp in house and get your kid naked for three days. I didn’t even use diapers at night. If your kid is super stubborn and can hold Pee for 8 hrs no problem then yup they are an expert.
Also this is for parents who have young babies: as soon as baby can sit up.,,around 6 or 7 months start sitting them in potty as you swipe out diapers and blow air in the general direction of their probates. The breeze will make them per and this gets the child used to peeing out of a diaper so by the time they are 14 months they will be peeing mostly in potty.

Concise but insightful guidelines for first-time potty trainers. The communications strategy with kids during the training period follows the same methodology suggested in "Positive Parenting". I really like and believe in this approach. I had no clue how to get started before reading this book, now I have a clear plan. Gonna give it a go soon!

I have been struggling with training my 30-months old son until I got this book. I followed the writer’s instructions and believe me, I got him trained within three days with just two accidents. After then, my son told me himself he wanted to stop wearing diapers and that was it.

It works! My husband totally doubted this book and was just waiting to say "I told you so"....until he saw the results. My 2-year old was consistently using the potty by the end of day 1. Too bad my daycare also doubted it because now my daughter is forced to wear pull-ups (which she calls diapers), and only occasionally uses the potty. At home, she's back in panties and has no accidents.

Simple process and easy instructions. As first time parent's we did not know what we were getting into. This book helped us navigate the whole experience and gave us great insights into the process. We were able avoid the pitfalls and the book helped us get through without causing phycological issue for everyone.

Serisouly, I cannot thank enough to this book. My girl is 28month old and I've been thinking about potty training her for awhile. I tried one day a month ago and FAILED. Went back to diaper. I was lost in frustration and it was extremely stressful. I just couldn't go on. But then last Saturday, I decided to give it a another chance. I learned so much by reading this book and long story short, my girl finally learned to potty!!!!! It indeed took 3 days as the book describes. OMG... I cannot tell you how happy I am at the moment!!!!

This book had all the answers for every situation I encountered during the potty training. I felt much better and comfortable to deal with accidents and her behaviors. (ex. crying+resisting of sitting on the potty and getting terrified...sigh) I'm almost certain that my relaxed attitude towards her accidents (of course I'm like yelling and going crazy inside of my head but did not show that) helped her to learn things much faster and easier since she is not frightened or afraid of me getting upset. Thank you so so so much. Of course all kids are different, and I know some kids just get it and do their business in peace. But if your baby is like me and if you are in doubt about yourself, get this book and follow the book. If I could do it, I'm sure you could too!!

I enjoyed the down-to-earth perspective the author provides! I’m actually less intimidated about the experience ahead now that I feel more equipped to help our little be as successful as possible with potty training.

Works works and works. I did a modified version with my almost 3 year old ( 3 in 3 weeks), since she is not new to the potty concept, i have been sitting her down almost every evening on the potty before bath, since she was 2.. Started last weekend around 10 (after breakfast), we said good bye to diapers, she selected gerber potty training underwear (recommend it, as its super soft and thick) ans loaded her with 24 oz of water before 2pm.. gave her constant reminders every 5, 10, and then 30 min just in case, red books while on potty, danced and clapped each time when she went - made a HUGe deal out of it and told her how proud I was, gave her m&ms, gummy bears to reward and promised cake for number 2 ?.. we even went to the store for 30 min (i made sure i gave her no drinks 2 hrs before the trip + took her to the bathroom there just in case - i have portable foldable toilet seat), i even cooked and on day 2 did not have to give any reminders only when went out to the store for 40 min and no bribery/ rewards were required .. day 3 was day care, she had her 1st accident there - too much distraction and mummy is not there ... its been a week and my toddler is doing well..no accidents or reminders unless in car/ store.. do have to wear goodnites bedtime sleeping underwear (my toddler keeps calling it diaper and i correct her that diapers are for babies, this is sleeping underwear)

This is by far the best “parenting” book I’ve ever read. Well organized, easy to follow, straight to the point. My LO is 3ys old and handled the transition well. Thank for making something that was nerve wracking and scary manageable!

I read this before training my 2.5daughter and it works! Here we are a week later and she has had one pee accident. The pooping we are still getting a hang of but we will get there! :-) Totally recommend this book--you just need to dive in and do it.

Followed along with this book to potty train my 2 1/2 year old. Started Wednesday morning and did the three day method and she has been dry since Saturday!!! We didn't follow all of the rules exactly (we didn't turn off the TV!!) But I am very excited with the results!! It can be done in 3 days!!

I first read through this book completely to grasp the concept and it was one I believed in. I mentally prepared and followed her guidelines, and voila! This book is a quick read and very much worth it.
