I purchased this book & another book (Too Big for Diapers (Ernie of seasame Street). This book was just too long of a story for my just turned two year old girl. She just wasn't interested in hearing the story, thus the book is like new on the shelf. But the Too Big for Diapers book was a big hit--she likes Ernie so that was the first thing. The story is short & too the point and the pictures of Ernie are big & bright. But this book is a long story & pastel pictures of a little girl. Maybe she'll get into later, but so far the potty training goes on without this book.

Cute book for my potty training girl. The concept of the book is sweet and it definitely interested my girl, but unfortunately the quality of the book was lacking and it fell apart within a couple weeks. She still used it during training but I had to toss it when she was done.

I got this prior to starting potty training and read it with my daughter once a day. I think it helped her to get excited about potty training. She has now been potty training for about two weeks and still likes to read this. I think maybe because now she can relate.

We purchased this book for my 19 month old daughter when we bought her a potty seat. We did not have intentions of "potty training," but instead wanted to just expose her to the idea of using the potty since she was showing signs of readiness. My daughter loves this book and wants me to read it over and over and over again. I love the no pressure message of the story. We are very pleased with this purchase.

My daughter and I loved this book! I bought several potty books and read them to her every night before doing a "potty party" weekend for her, and I think it was one the main elements that helped her get potty trained so quickly. I highly recommend it.

My granddaughter is at the stage where it is time to start potty training. She loved this book. We talked about Hannah and what she was doing and what a big girl she was. My granddaughter was able to relate what Hannah was doing each step of the way. It will take awhile and I am sure we will have many accidents before she is completelly potty trained , but this cute little book will help my granddaughter as she goes through the process of learning to use the potty.

I was really looking forward to this book and hoped it would help my not yet two year old on her potty training adventure. I tried to make her love the book but she just wasn't very interested, and for a child who LOVES books, that's saying something. It just didn't keep her attention and didn't aid in potty training. Cute idea though

This was the only potty book my little girl liked. She saw Hannah as someone like her I think. We renewed serval times at library and just had to go ahead and buy it. Well worth it, she still asks for it almost daily and it’s 3 months later.

Its a potty book that encourages little girls to want to try to use the potty. Mom and dad buy potty; she's not too sure; may have an accident but that's ok; ready to give it a go; is successful; happy to wear big kid underwear. Not much to it.

Great book for my daughter. Helped us work with her potty training as we would read this when she would go potty and it kept her interested in learning to use the restroom like the little girl in the book.

I love this book, it is both adorable and informative. My daughter brings it to me to read all the time and she says yay for Hannah (main character) when she goes potty. I bought this a couple of months before we started training to introduce her to the potty. Now that we have started, my daughter likes to look at it while sitting on her potty. Great book!

, A cute little story about a little girl learning to use the infant Step by Step Potty, with parents incouraging her, but letting her learn to use it on her own, discovering how special she felt when she had accomplished that goal. The story is in verse and is as much a guideline to parents as it is an encourement to the child.

My daughter has been reluctant to use the potty. She was peeing in the potty consistently, but once she pooped and after that she has refused to go. She asks me to read this book over and over again and now is starting to show interest in using the potty again. Worth it!

This was one of my daughter's favorite potty books. We started reading this before we started training. Every child is different but she was potty trained by the age of 2 years 2 months. I like to think the book helped.

I was completely impressed by this book! My daughter asked me to read it to her 4 times in a row the day we got it. The content is spot on in relating to kids and potty training. The book is well written and motivating. Honestly, it's one of the best finds I've run across lately in potty training books. Buy it, it won't disappoint!

We recently purchased this book as well as several other potty books for our toddler daughter. Out of all of our purchases this was her least favorite. The drawings don't hold her attention and the story seems too "wordy" for her. She prefers the straight forward style of Potty by Leslie Patricelli and repeatedly goes back to that one each time I reach for The Potty Book for Girls. Part of this may be her age as she is under 2 years old. Maybe she will be more interested in this book as her attention span grows.

Granddaughter wanted to start training before she was 2. We were skeptical, but this book holds her attention plenty long enough for the event to happen! She doesn't need the book any longer after just 2 short months, but she "reads" it to her little brother often. Hope he doesn't think he needs to sit!

Excellent potty training book! Covers all the bases without being over the top. My only complaint is really nit-picky but it bears mentioning.....the rhyme continually changes cadence throughout the book. Until you've read it a few times, it may annoy you. Worth the price, definitely. 3 year old loves it.

My daughter absolutely loved this book. I now know the story by heart after having to read it every night!!! She can even retell parts of the story.
Helped her relate to what she had to do during potty training. She understood about peeing in the potty and want to wear her big girl underwear all the time.
