This was a wonderfully written book. I fell in love with Logan. He is a tortured soul that learns to feel again. From the beginning of the book I was drawn in. Rob Sinclair waltzes you through the ups and downs, twists and turns and has you begging for more at the end. I look forward to the next book. And I would recommend this to anyone who wants a thriller with a touch of romance.

I thought this story was very entertaining. As the hunt for the kidnapped VIP continued it started to become apparent that there was more going on than rescue and revenge by the main man Carl Logan. However the conclusion left some unanswered questions that mat be answered in volume 2 read on !

Carl Logan is a talented secret agent but also has human failings that make him believable so when he gets into tight spots you find yourself routing for him to get out of them. The thriller takes lots of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. It also has a surprise ending that makes the book worth reading.

One of the best suspense thrillers I have ever read. The action is fast and furious, but it is the character development that reached out and grabbed me. Filled with twists and turns that no one can see coming. I am looking forward to reading book two in this series.

I think that the storyline flowed well and did not drag at all. I found the treachery of the female lead to be too much. It was as if you knew it was coming. However, I will read the next book to see if the hero finds her.

Unexpected plot twists every time you turn the page. Graphic and violent at times and surprisingly not many cuss words. Carl Logan is programmed to kill, but does have a human side at the end. Not for all readers.

Excellent tale of a man for all seasons, regarding his unwaving character, his
Tenacity and his uncanny methods of escapeing dangerous circumstances.
A very good read, hard to put down!
I give it 5!

A well written suspense thriller, fast paced, a gripping lecture if you like the genre. The end is quite unexpected and doesn't really match with the rest of the story, but otherwise is as good as any James Bond novel.

Great characters, plenty of action, and a great plot with realistic twists and turns. Uncluttered by flowery descriptive narrative. This moves and does not stop. Relentless pursuit by a tormented killer who routinely works outside the ruleset gets the job done, taking out the worst of the worst in the process, leaving carnage and havoc in the wake.

This book engaged my interest from the first few pages. The main character, Carl Logan, is a brilliant and experienced British spy, though damaged psychologically. His story has lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing till the very end. Parts of the plot seemed improbable, such as Logan's ability to function, in several instances, while badly wounded. Overall, I liked the book and look forward to the next in the series.

Dance with the Enemy is the explosive first chapter in the highly-acclaimed Enemy series of espionage thrillers featuring Carl Logan.Praise for Rob Sinclair and Dance with the Enemy:"an excellent and action packed story that is hard to put down" -Andrea Giannini (Redbrick)"twists and turns that kept me begging for more…jam-packed with detailed action and adventure"- Monica McDaniel (ebookreviewgal)"Sinclair is a genius story teller"- Catherine Rose Putsche (Walkerputsche book blog)"A strong, dramatic and enjoyable debut novel."- Cathy Ryan (Between the Lines blog)"fast paced action thriller that will have you hooked from the first page…Sinclair really knows how to write"- John Fish (The Last Word Book Review)"Carl Logan may be a battled hardened agent, but Rob Sinclair has managed to find his soul"- Treebeard (bestsellingcrimethrillers.com)DescriptionCarl Logan was the perfect agent. A loner. No real friends or family.Trained to deal with any situation with cold efficiency, devoid of emotion. But Logan isn’t the man he used to be, or the asset he once was. Five months ago his life changed forever when he was captured, tortured and left for dead by Youssef Selim, one of the world’s most violent terrorists. When Selim mysteriously reappears in Paris, linked to the kidnapping of America’s Attorney General, Logan smells his chance for revenge.Pursuing his man relentlessly, oblivious to the growing trail of destruction that he leaves in his wake, Logan delves increasingly deep into the web of lies and deceit surrounding the kidnapping. Finally, he comes to learn just what it means to Dance with the Enemy. Dance with the Enemy piqued my interest just with the title alone. This is a smashing thriller! I could not put it down from the first word until the last. This book is an unpredictable story with true-to-life characters. It took me on a thrilling journey with many twists and turns that kept me begging for more. I found myself cheering on the main character, Carl Logan (Logan). Carl Logan is the best intelligence agent on the staff at JIA (Joint Intelligence Agency). This agency is unique because it is run by government officials from the US and the UK. Carl Logan is a loner. He works alone and feels he can accomplish more this way. Logan was on medical leave from the beating and torture he suffered by well-known terrorist, Youssef Salim, when he was assigned on a mission to find US Attorney General Frank Modena. Modena was abducted while in Paris on negotiations. The JIA was against Logan taking this case because they felt he had not fully recovered. Charles McCabe (Mackie), Logan's boss, was hesitant but assured the board he was indeed ready. Mackie had no doubt Logan was the right agent for this case, but he too was concerned it may be too soon and Logan wasn't ready. So against the board's wishes, yet using his own intuition, Mackie assigned Logan to the case. And so began Logan's mission to search for US Attorney General Modena. This book is jam-packed with detailed action and adventure. I could understand the characters feelings and found myself on edge as the story unfolded with revenge and betrayal. I was tricked and fooled just as the characters were with all the lies and deceit. Just when I let my guard down to start believing and trusting I suddenly found myself dancing with the enemy. This is a must read for all action and thriller enthusiasts. I am anxiously waiting for a sequel. I am glad that I got a chance to read this book.

I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

This is an enjoyable enough tale - although sometimes a bit heavy on irrelevant detail resulting in paragraph and page skimming!
The plot line is sometimes challenging to follow because the author does not tell the reader the cause of certain scenarios until about 75% into the telling ..... which was annoying!

Good book but not for everyone because some of the scenes are quiet violent ,they go with the story line never the less.Did not see the ending coming and left me want to see what happens to some of the people, but do not want to give away anything by going into details. You will have to read it to see what I mean.

Based on unrealistic expected processing frome federal and international agencies. Hard to believe that a rogye agent in the FBI would be mastermind of an international terrorist event and they not aware or at least suspect internal

I found this book refreshing and interesting. It deals with two people
focused on revenge and a series of events that intertwine that drive
to exact justice, within the law or not. Despite its twists and turns, it
never loses the reader. Good Stuff this.

I thoroughly enjoyed this suspenseful novel. The author's writing style was easy to follow and a page turner for me. When I read a book I'm always trying to figure out the ending well before the end, but this one had several twists that surprised me. I would recommend this book to my book club and I will read more of this author's books.

Was a little doubtful after about a third of this book. Logan didn't seem like a typical badass killing force like a Mitch Rapp. But the last half kept me interested so I'll probably get the next book to see what happens next.

It was an interesting read. There were times when it dragged a little and then, wham, it went into full speed survival of the smartest. Some outcomes were predictable while others caught me unaware. I really felt for the main character.

It is difficult not to become frustrated with many stupid decisions that the book's hero makes but the book was an action packed page turner. Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. Difficult to put down. This book was a great buy. Looking forward to reading Mr. Sinclair's sequel.

Not the best espionage thriller I've read -- but not the worst. The book is a little long winded, frequently cliched and corny and meanders a little too slowly. It was a little bit of a grind to finish it.

A great suspense story with plenty of suspense and action. The story of Logan was also very interesting and you begin to understand why he is as messed as he is throughout the book. Very intense at times I found myself not being to put it down.

Dance With the Enemy is a thriller that also deals with the intense pain betrayal brings to its victims. The character development is outstanding and the plot is as intense as anything I have read. It kept my interest from start to finish.

The beginning proved enough to gain my attention. Although I found myself skimming some of the content, the story concept proved interesting. Found Grainger a bit difficult to accept as FBI having met a few agents.

Enjoy meeting Carl Logan and finding out who he is, what he has gone through (probably still has secrets to tell) while a whole story enfolds around him. Dance with the Enemy is a wonderful read from start to finish. I did find parts a bit too graphic, but that is just me. The ending leaves you counting the days until Mr, Sinclair's next Carl Logan book. Definitely worth reading. Wishing for more Carl Logan series.

This book was captivating. It was well written. The suspense kept me flipping the pages quickly and had me reading in the wee hours. It was only in the last few chapters that story unfolded. Kudos to Rob Sinclair.

Character development could have been somewhat deeper. The violence is not over the top but, rather, reflected in the manner of such things and how it really sounds and looks. The world is, and always has been, a violent place; despite locale. The protagonist is a lonely operative based on upbringing, his love of his job and his desire to find warm and love.

I liked everything about this book, except the contrived plot was too convoluted, and in the end just too contrived to be believable. But it did leave a straight forward path to the follow up novel in the series.
