Favorite Quotes:

Marry him right now. Sweet, considerate, sexy men are unicorns. You’ll never see another one of them out in the wild. I know. I looked.

You two are ridiculously good looking… Is that a requirement to be a firefighter or EMT? That you have to be hot so you can make calendars and bring in a bunch of money in calendar sales?

My Review:

I can see what all the fuss was about. But I was horrified to realize I have lived this long without ever indulging in the hedonistic delight of reading a Kristen Proby book. But I have rectified that error in judgment and am thrilled to report the experience was everything I imagined it would be and more. Her writing was a fun, cleverly amusing, and tasty treat. The storylines were entertaining, well-paced, and a pleasure to engage in. I adored her quirky yet relatable characters and enjoyed their clever banter and wit as much as the sweet and sexy second chance romance. But the delectable descriptions of the food had me salivating and smacking my lips as I read. I may have picked up a pound or ten from her delicious words alone.

Mia is the workaholic of the Seduction group, but that means she sacrifices having a life in order to be at the restaurant running the kitchen. But then her past walks back in her life in the form of Camden Sawyer and he helps her loosen her hold on the kitchen. I loved seeing these two together because they weren't completely opposite yet Camden had more of fun-loving vibe about his characters and slowly that started to rub off on Mia. I had already really liked her character but I actually liked her so much more after that character progression started.

As sad as I am to see these characters go and their series come to an end, I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion. Mia and Camden were just so sweet and they captivated me from the beginning. I loved that we got to see that sexual tension between them in the beginning of the story and then once Camden broke down Mia's walls we got to see that tension explode as they gave into it. This series is definitely one that I would recommend and now I can't wait to see what KP has in store for us with her next series.

Ahhh… I can’t believe the last Fusion is here! Talk about bittersweet!

That’s right, Mia’s story is finally here and Savor You was the perfect cherry on top of this extraordinary series.
After that explosive revelation at the end of The Beauty of Us, all Kristen Proby fans, like yours truly, have been counting down the days to the release of Mia and Camden’s story, because hot damn, the past of these two is to important, to stay in the past, and when Camden is brought to Mia’s life, all of those memories come rushing back. And what memories they are…

With Camden now in her every day life, it’s impossible for them to resist the incredible attraction they once let loose and when things when they separated, they tried to deny. The chemistry between them truly is sizzling and it’s undeniable.

Mia, the workaholic chef, and big responsible for the huge success that is the girl’s Seduction, has tried to move on with her life even though that event in the past left its mark. Even though she’s secure in herself, specially as a professional, and her image. She is a curvy, sexy and successful renown chef, and she owns it. But at times she reveals a hidden fragility, where comments about her curvy figure affect her, like they would hurt deep down, anyone who is criticized, and I just adored that with Camden, even in the past, she had no doubts that he adored her for who she was, every part of her, he showed her every time they were together. It was even hard for her to let that fully sink in. A lifetime of mean comments and bullies, did that to her, but fortunately she had Camden and all gang to prove her otherwise. Even her brother, Landon, made an amazing point on the subject, lol. ;)

Camden was such a fantastic and swoon worthy hero! Truly the whole package: drop dread handsome, absolutely enchanted by Mia, and so sweet and caring that it was impossible for her to resist. The celebrity chef, had tried to move on from the heartbreak, ten years prior, but just being in Mia’s presence we could see all his feelings for her coming back to surface. I adored that he didn’t try to fight it, and made everything in his power to show Mia, that he was ready to win her back again, holding nothing back, and not allowing their past to stop them to have it all. The only down point in my eyes, was my dreaded ‘have always loved you, never stopped loving’ statement, that I really could go without, and everyone that follows me knows I dislike when it’s clear they moved on, so that statement becomes mute in my eyes, lol. Apart from those statements, their love and devotion in the story was palpable, beyond heartfelt, and I love how they realized that timing really was everything.

Kristen Proby really has a gift of creating the most emotional and realistic love stories and Camden and Mia’s Savor You is exactly that, an emotional journey that shows us the importance of communication, personal growth and timing. These characters makes us see things with different eyes, and reevaluate certain aspects of our every day lives, that’s how powerful Ms. Proby’s words touch us and make us think and feel. Their story touched my heart and I was so rooting for these two to get their much deserved HEA. I adored the full circle aspect of their story, and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. A second chance at love and life in every way… <3

I’m so so sad to see this brilliant series go. What an amazing series of empowered women! Fusion was the perfect example of Kristen Proby absolutely gifted and epic writing. These five ladies are a group I won’t soon forget, better yet, never! Savor You gave such an amazing closure for all of them and their loved ones, that left me teary eyed with all the beauty and happiness they ended up as their HEA. That epilogue was the PERFECT wrap up for all the Fusion girls! And even more on the bright side, with Ms. Proby announcing her Manhattan series, we have something new to look forward to. A perfect goodbye for an epic series, a true golden – or better yet, diamond – key closure! <3 <3 <3 <3

4 - I could fall in love with him... Again. Stars!

Book five in Kristen Proby’s Fusion series, finally gives us Mia Palazzo’s story. The prickly workaholic head chef of Seduction has kept a big secret from her business partners and best friends in the shape of an ex-husband; celebrity chef Camden Sawyer.

"It’d too early for your smoulder…"

The main reason why I love this author’s work, and why I will happily read everything she writes is that each and every time, she delivers on her characters, and by that I mean they are people I want to get to know, their vulnerabilities and quirks make me keep reading and the chemistry that she builds between them holds my attention.

I suspect that touch is this man’s love language… He’s a toucher.

I won’t lie and say that each and every story offers up the same depth, as over the years (and series) they have ranged from light and fluffy to deep and angsty. I would put Savor You firmly in the middle of that scale, because although Mia and Cam have history, the exploration into and the depth of their issues in the way the author delivered it all were actually quite low drama, but still with a decent level of emotion.

”I’ve fallen in love with a man that I think I’ve been in love with for ten years… I just don’t know how to tell him.

It doesn’t take the two of them to slot back into the kind of friendly (with benefits) relationship they had with each other a decade ago, and their mutual love of food helped eliminate any lingering doubts, although Mia’s struggles with her self-confidence added a little extra to the mix. Cam did his utmost to push her past the internal battles that were warring with her about her looks and lack of body confidence (totally understood her in that regards).

I know I will never spend another day in my life without her…

I devoured this book in one sitting, I loved the epilogue, the catch up five years on with everyone, rounded out what has been another absolutely brilliant series from this author. Proby has a formula for building a series, and adding in characters along the way whilst staying true to the base that everything originated from and has been built upon. She has been one of my go-to authors since the start of the With Me series, and I can’t see that changing anytime soon.

"You. This. I wasn’t expecting it."

I’ve enjoyed the Fusion series from the start and Savor You was a wonderful way to end it. A second chance romance between two people who are passionate about their work, but failed at communication in the past learn from their mistakes and find love is sweeter the second time around.

Out of all five women who own Seduction, I don’t think anyone will disagree that executive chef Mia Palazzo works harder than any of them. Fourteen hour days are her norm with few days off despite her friends begging her to take the time and now she has to deal with a television show and the first guest chef, he ex-husband celebrity chef Camden Sawyer. The man she married and divorced 10 years ago and no one knew about.

From the minute Mia and Camden are in the same room together it is obvious that the chemistry between them is still there, but Mia is determined to keep Camden at arm’s length and he is determined to finally get answers to what happened all those years ago. I loved Camden, I thought he was a genuine guy and so even tempered especially for a chef and most of all it was evident he adored Mia. Mia has always been a bit of a prickly character, but in this book we see a softer side to her which was nice. Mia’s weight (she’s plus sized and we are beat over the head with this info) has always been an issue for her and she didn’t understand 10 years ago and can’t understand now why Camden wants to be with her. Overall, this was a fairly easy romance; these two enjoy on another’s company both in an out of the bedroom and kitchen and fall into a fast relationship. While the conflict felt a bit contrived, given their history I could somewhat understand the way things played out, but would have like to see something a bit more original.

Sexy, smart and sophisticated describes the Fusion series and Savor You is the dessert on top of what has been a tasty series.

‘Savor You’ was a fabulous ending to the great Fusion series by Kristen Proby. Mia and Camden's story was once again beautifully written - funny, fast, witty and the chemistry is smokin’!!. Since the minute I started reading the Fusion series, I must confess I’ve been really looking forward to reading Mia’s book. The focused, quiet, surly, headstrong, curvaceous chef was always intriguing and I knew her love story would be dynamite and it sure is...

Mia and Camden’s book was everything I had hoped for. Mia has been broken for the last 10 years, she left her old life for a fresh start. She has just boxed away what happened back then and worked, worked, worked...
When Camden comes back, all the chemistry and sparks are still there, In fact the Heat factor is even more intense but Mia can’t help but have a wall. ‘Camden is back in my life. I never thought that would happen. The culinary world isn’t huge, but I’ve been careful to make sure we haven’t crossed paths in all of these years, and now, here we are. Working together.’ Talk about emotions being bottled up for 10 years. This is so much more than a second chance love story... it’s quite beautiful.

Camden is a legend - truly, sweet, sexy, patient and a man on a mission. He has always adored her, idiosyncrasies and all... ‘It’s been thirty-six hours since our date. Thirty-six hours since I had my hands on her, my lips on her. She worked herself to the bone yesterday, thanks again to being short-staffed. She wouldn’t let me help. It’s as if the conversation we had about her control-freak tendencies didn’t happen. I glance over at her and smile. She’s stirring her pasta, and her hips are swaying with the movement. She’s done that since culinary school.‘

The epilogue was a great way to end this series and especIally catching up with all of the couples and this tight group of female friends. While I’m disappointed to see this series end, I am looking forward to seeing what Kristen Proby brings us next. A strong 5 Stars!

M/F Romance - second chance
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

I have read all of the books in this series and I highly recommend reading them in order. However, if you choose not to, you won't necessarily be missing out on who everyone is.

Mia is a workaholic. She is head chef at her and her friend's successful, sexy restaurant. She wants things done to her specification and is constantly wanting perfection. She also has a lot of insecurities that we see throughout the book. Her past is somewhat of a mystery, but as Mia's life progresses, you get to catch glimpses of her past. I like how Proby wove the past and present together. When Camden comes back in to Mia's life, Mia has to decide whether or not to take a leap of faith and trust her heart. She has never forgotten Camden and even though they have complicated history, the chemistry is still very apparent.

Camden is a sexy head chef who has his own tv show. Now he's been asked to compete against Mia, his long ago love. Camden has never forgotten Mia - she was sexy, funny, a fabulous chef and their relationship was easy. Even though Camden was heartbroken in the past, he can't deny that they still have chemistry.

Camden and Mia fell back in love rather quickly. I liked how Camden was constantly reassuring Mia that she was enough and that she didn't need to change in order for Camden to like her. I did think that despite Mia's hangups, when it was brought to her attention and the attention of others, it never was truly addressed. She was never quite strong enough to stand up and say, "stop saying that about me." I wish that she had been more forward with those people in the story. It felt glossed over.

Overall, Mia and Camden's book was the perfect conclusion to this series. I will miss it greatly and loved all of the women in this series. I can't wait to see what Proby has next!

After following Addy, Cami, Kat, Riley and Mia's lives, seeing Seduction (their super sexy restaurant) grows, and watching most of them find their HEA, it was about time for Mia to get her love and even more happiness.

This is a standalone between Mia and Camden - although it's better if you've already read the previous books - and it's also a second chance romance.

They were both friends and even more than that ten years ago, but for lack of communication and imaturity (from both sides, which is totally expected at that time in life), Mia and Camden go their separate ways, without ever really moving on.

They both turned out to be succesful, but never commited to anyone. Until they meet again.

"It's like I'd been in the desert for a week and she was a cool drink of water."

So much has changed, and at the same time, everything is still the same. They grew, they are more mature, they learnt from their mistakes and they are now wiser. But they are still the one to make the other laugh, they still have crazy chemistry, they still trust and love each other. They have a lot to learn about each other, but they have the advantage of already had learnt so much.

"I want to stay here with you, all day, and do this. Relearn you. Feed you. Laugh with you. F*** you."

They have baggage and a life to rule, but they also now have each other to make life even prettier. They mold and compromise and they are willing to put themselves vulnerable to love again, and to love permanently.

"I just got you back in my life, and I'm not ready to lose you again this soon."

After everything, it was great seeing how everyone's lives go, how they grow, and build their family and career, how they change their lives for the best, how they conquer and win.

After all is said and done, they have the best part.

"You are the best part of my life, Mia"

Ms. Proby heats up the kitchen and bedroom in this one, folks. As always, I find her writing style very engaging. Considering this main couple parted ways ten years earlier, I’m not surprised, but my avid romantic heart can’t help but be disappointed they were not celibate after originally being together. Though Camden admits he’s never had a serious relationship since her, why, oh, why, couldn’t their separation have been shorter so reconciliation and celibacy could have both been included. At least the people in between that time were not discussed/flaunted in our face. There really is no mention of Mia’s love life during this time span.

Mia is beautiful, witty, and culinary talented, but carries around guilt from a past well intended, but knucklehead decision, along with her weight insecurity issues. Camden is instantly still drawn to her upon seeing her again and vice versa. Mia had the excuse of being too young and naive in dealing with their former situation, but I can’t shake the feeling Camden should have manned up and fought for love from the get go. Of course, we are eventually given his perspective that explains why he didn’t.

This was a sweet romantic read where the main couple seem to fall right back into each other’s arms. If you enjoy epilogues, there is one included that takes you five years into the future.

Title: Savor You, Series: Fusion (Book 5), Author: Kristen Proby, Pages: 288, stand-alone but part of a series, some very steamy scenes, second chance romance, 10 year separation where he is not celibate, no specific info on her, beautiful heroine with size/weight insecurities, both are chefs, romance safe after reuniting (no cheating/no OW/OM drama/no love triangle.)

(These comments are based on a library edition.)

Camden Sawyer had love once, and then he lost it, and now he wants it back... the day he let Mia Palazzo slip quietly out of his life is a day that has haunted him for the last ten years. He has never fully understood why she walked away, but she did, and now that they are going to be dueling chefs on a cooking show he plans to use the reunion to not only get some answers, but also maybe get his girl back too. They use to be an unstoppable pair in the bedroom and in the kitchen, question is can they relight the flame that fizzled out so many years ago?

Mia Palazzo walked away from the man she loved ten years ago, and she has regretted her decision everyday since, but when you love someone and they don't return the sentiment it's hard to stick around and hope it will eventually take hold. So, she has buried herself in her work, and has always had a dream of running her own kitchen, creating her own unique menu, and becoming a success in the culinary world, and with a lot of hard work, sweat and a few tears she has managed to achieve it. But with all her newfound success she still feels like something might be missing... love! As she watches all of her friends find love and create new lives with their spouses, she can't help but feel a little envious, she would like to have that someday too, problem is Mr. Right just hasn't come along... or has he?

Between the pages of Savor You readers will be introduced to two lovelorn souls who left love slip through their fingertips ten years ago, and now fate is giving them a second chance to rediscover what they missed out on the first go around. And of course their little reunion doesn't happen easily, there are lots of hurdles for them to overcome, heated discussions to take place, and of course some steamy little bedroom sessions to help sort everything out.... and all I can say is be prepared to have your world rocked!! I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting each one of the ladies in this series and their sexy soul mates and I have to say I am sad to see it end... but with that being said I can also say Ms. Proby ended things perfectly and saved the best heroine for last, Mia's story was definitely my favorite!! If you like fierce heroines then I highly recommend you check out this series, each book comes equipped with an amazing female character that will inspire some serious girl power, and of course the alpha's that managed to steal their hearts are pretty damn amazing too!

Five Amazing Stars

I was absolutely thrilled to now read book five, Fusion. Such an exciting favourite romance I have ever enjoyed. Mia Palazzo, is the amazing and wonderful chef. I loved this next amazing book so much. So hard to even put down!

Mia is staring at herself in the mirror at her business, Seduction. She is practicing her first speech to Camden about finding out about her false positive pregnancy. As Mia continues she is freaking out constantly. She starts talking about absolutely anything she could think about. Basically none of Mia’s friends knew anything about him either. He was someone from her past while she was studying as a Chef. Plus she married him too.

Until quickly her friend Riley interrupts her telling her she is practicing her speech to Camden. He was well known now too. The star of his own cooking show as well. Now Mia will be competing against Camden in her own kitchen too. Basically Mia wasn’t happy about her situation at all. She basically had to get ready. As she was seeing him at the restaurant soon and show him her own kitchen.

Mia is so completely nervous to see Camden once again. She is proud of their restaurant. It is absolutely gorgeous. When she enters the restaurant and she sees Camden. Seeing all my close friends who work here at Seduction makes me feel a lot better. When I finally see him I’m nervous and can’t move. But they hadn’t seen each other for ten years. Where !ia will be competing against Camden in TV’s cooking competition!!

Such a wonderful, most passionate tale. I thoroughly loved this marvellous book. Such fabulous characters. So full of love, laughter and romance. I adored this most enjoyable book just so much. Congratulations Kristen Proby!!

* I recommend this book to everybody!!

My favorite part of Savor You was everything!!! This story captured my attention just by reading the prologue. Kristen Proby is an evil genius with words and after reading the prologue, I was like I guess I won't be getting any sleep tonight! I spent all day reading this book and just loving this story! This books was the perfect missing link to the Fusion series. This story was beautifully written and the words just flew off the page. I loved every minute of it. My favorite part was the food and being jealous that I did not have any pie to eat with this book. I love pie! *Dear Kristen this book needs to come with a PIE warning…please read with PIE and WINE! When it came to the end I was sad. I loved this series and sadly there are no more books left for me to read! *cries* I am seriously left with a book hangover and a little hangry for PIE. This book left me wanting more of Mia and Camden and wanting to taste all the delicious dessert! The part I love most was how I could relate to this book because I too like Mia love dessert and I too like Mia have had trouble with my weight and I am too no size two. I enjoy food just like Mia and food is what she loves. She is passionate about her work and is a perfectionist. Mia despite her insecurities is a bad ass and I want to be just like her, strong, independent, stubborn, feisty and a excellent pie maker. LOL This book is amazing, I highly recommend this book for anyone that loves a good steamy love story. This book is pure seduction and I savored every minute.
Kristen Proby is one of my favorite authors. I just love her books

Mia is a workaholic -- closed off, ruling her kitchen with an iron fist, she only takes a single day off a week because the girls won’t let her work seven days a week. Her entire life is her kitchen and she doesn’t leave herself time for anything else. She doesn’t trust easily, but her inner circle have her whole heart.

Camden is her new co-star on a concept TV show, but they have history that even her best friends don’t know. He also lives for food, but has spent his career building a TV persona rather than keeping his own professional kitchen. He may have lost her once, but he’s hoping this time around she will stick around long term -- if he can convince her they are good together.

The chemistry between Mia and Camden is both firey and smooth. They just click. They did in the past, and despite their rocky history, they click again in the present. I love the way Camden understands Mia - her hopes and dreams as well as her fears and insecurities.

This was a generally smooth story. I love Camden. He’s the perfect laid back counterpart to Mia’s type-A self. As second chance romances go, this is a great one. It has the history, the swoon, and the rebuilding that I love about a good second chance. Kristen Proby continues to be one of those authors I know I can rely on for a good, solid story that entertains and leaves me feeling good about the state of the characters. Each of her worlds, and the Fusion world particularly, feel like being surrounded by my girlfriends when I’m inside the pages.

As the chef and partial owner of a very successful restaurant, Mia devotes her life to all things business. Having so much already on her plate, she isn’t overjoyed to sign on for being on a TV show to begin with. And then she is informed of her celebrity chef co-star…

Camden was once married to Mia and ready to start a family with her. Until she disappeared from his life and left him to pick up the pieces on his own. While he moved on as best he could, once he sees Mia again, he realizes she never really left his heart. If only he can get Mia to realize how much she really means to him…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Savor You is the fifth book in the Fusion series, and can be read as a complete standalone.
This book was a good read, I loved the storyline and the plot was interesting and engaging. This second chance romance didn’t focus on Mia and Camden groveling and apologizing constantly for the past, but brought them to an adult outlook on the things that they couldn’t go back and change.
While I enjoyed the story itself, I unfortunately didn’t love the individual characters that Mia and Camden represented. There was a little too much flying off the handle at small misunderstandings, and the way they talked to each other was a little juvenile at times. I wished Mia’s lack of self esteem would have been something she could have overcome as well.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Mia and Camden stole the show. Though I haven’t read the rest of the Fusion series, I read and LOVED every one of the With Me In Seattle Books. I’ve listened to almost all of the Boudreaux series on Audible. All of those characters have long been some of my favorites -- and now she’s hit with more. I will definitely have to go back and read the other books in this series because Mia and Camden made me want more!!
They have a history. It’s complicated. They don’t know what to do with each other when they’re forced to work together on a new cooking show, but the old sparks can’t be put out and their attraction hasn’t tamed any. This story is hot from the beginning and made my heart happy throughout.
I loved Camden’s forceful nature:
“And I’m going to kiss you.”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Honestly?” I move between her legs, pressing closer. “I don’t give a **** if it’s a good idea. I’m going to do it, and I’m doing it now. So if you’re going to say no, you’d better say it now.”
I loved Mia’s softness, but still strong character. She realizes she made a mistake and she sets out to right it. I loved this story and can’t wait to read more! Whatever Ms. Proby writes, I’m ready to devour it!!
As is never a surprise when it comes to Kristen’s books, I read this one cover to cover in one day. It was everything I hoped for to tie up this series that I have loved so much. Mia and Camden were delicious and sweet and this Second Chance Romance will be among my favorite I’ve ever read.
Kristen’s writing appeals to me on every level. The stories she writes are romantic and funny and have interesting characters...with so much character. It sounds silly but it’s so true. Every person in each story is so special and feels necessary to the story whether they are in one chapter or all of them. She is the best romance “series” writer I have found. The way the books connect, one to the next and the way you get to keep characters from book to book is so special and effortless.
I related so much to Mia’s workaholic, control freak tendencies. I also related to the passionate and loving side of her. Camden was like a cool breeze. He was just what Mia needed in her life to help her let go of the control a little and relax. Their chemistry was hot and their love for one another poured off the pages. I didn’t need a lot of angst in this one and I’m glad I didn’t get it. I’ve wanted Mia’s happily ever after for so long and now I have it.
Like I always do, I will miss this group of people terribly. There is this mix of emotions that comes with finishing a KP series. I feel a sense of longing and sadness that it’s over yet completely content that everyone got their happily ever after.
Kristen Proby’s final book in her Fusion series has been much anticipated for me since book one. Mia is a character that grew on me from the very beginning so it’s bittersweet that with Mia’s HEA the end of this series is here. Mia is every woman, she’s sweet and spicy, soft and hard, tough and insecure. Savor You was the perfect end to this series because I love a good second chance romance! Mia and Camden are 10 years in the making. Ten years ago, in the beginning of their mutual cooking careers, they had a fast and intense love affair but then life knocked Mia upside down. Instead of staying to work it out, Mia runs without an explanation. Now they are both successful chefs and with a TV Show throwing them back together, there is only so much running Mia can do once Camden sets his sights on the one who got away. I loved this novel so much that I can’t even express it properly. I would highly recommend reading Savor You and give it 5 stars!
Savor You is the perfect ending to Kristen Proby's Fusion Series. The story isn't rushed and does justice to the characters. The charaters are in their thirty's and the relationships are a testment to that maturity. In Savor You we get Mia and Camden's story. Mia and Camden have a past that ended upbruptly and completely. Mia has focused on her career and very little else. As we've learned in the pervious installments Mia is a bit of a workaholic and the resturant her and her friends own is on the culinary map and popularty and recongnition is rising. Camden is a celebrity chef from her past that is set to compete against her. Very quickly they address their past and learn that when it comes to their attraction for each other there's no competetion. Mia and Camden re-establish their connection and navigate their relationship learning about each other and adding that great tool of communication and trust. We get some updates on the rest of the cast and leave the Seduction family satisfied.
Sweet, considerate, sexy men are unicorns and Mia found hers in Camden...then she threw him away. Ten years later the former couple, now both successful chefs, find themselves forced to work together on a t.v. food competition show. Mia’s personality is a little prickly and she’s a lot insecure about her weight, but Camden sees past all of that to the passionate, kind, desirable woman underneath. It doesn’t take long to realize the strong connection they shared still exists and sparks fly!
Kristen Proby has a way of writing her interconnected books that make you want to be a member of their tight knit group, to be besties with the fun loving women and marry all the ridiculously delicious men. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the amazing couples at Fusion, but the epilogue provides a satisfying, full circle conclusion to the series.
I've really enjoyed this series and was looking forward to Mia's book since the start. Her and Camden's second chance love was sweet, sexy and has me sad this series is over. Both Chefs, Camden and Mia are strong and driven people who are very competitive which are common traits in the restaurant industry. A chef myself, I really enjoyed the kitchen element to this book. Loved hearing from the other couples in the previous books and their relationships and lives. Excited for what's next from this great author!
Camden was once married to Mia and ready to start a family with her. Until she disappeared from his life and left him to pick up the pieces on his own. While he moved on as best he could, once he sees Mia again, he realizes she never really left his heart. If only he can get Mia to realize how much she really means to him…
Savor You is the fifth book in the Fusion series, and can be read as a complete standalone.
This book was a good read, I loved the storyline and the plot was interesting and engaging. This second chance romance didn’t focus on Mia and Camden groveling and apologizing constantly for the past, but brought them to an adult outlook on the things that they couldn’t go back and change.
While I enjoyed the story itself, I unfortunately didn’t love the individual characters that Mia and Camden represented. There was a little too much flying off the handle at small misunderstandings, and the way they talked to each other was a little juvenile at times. I wished Mia’s lack of self esteem would have been something she could have overcome as well.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Mia and Camden stole the show. Though I haven’t read the rest of the Fusion series, I read and LOVED every one of the With Me In Seattle Books. I’ve listened to almost all of the Boudreaux series on Audible. All of those characters have long been some of my favorites -- and now she’s hit with more. I will definitely have to go back and read the other books in this series because Mia and Camden made me want more!!
They have a history. It’s complicated. They don’t know what to do with each other when they’re forced to work together on a new cooking show, but the old sparks can’t be put out and their attraction hasn’t tamed any. This story is hot from the beginning and made my heart happy throughout.
I loved Camden’s forceful nature:
“And I’m going to kiss you.”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Honestly?” I move between her legs, pressing closer. “I don’t give a **** if it’s a good idea. I’m going to do it, and I’m doing it now. So if you’re going to say no, you’d better say it now.”
I loved Mia’s softness, but still strong character. She realizes she made a mistake and she sets out to right it. I loved this story and can’t wait to read more! Whatever Ms. Proby writes, I’m ready to devour it!!
As is never a surprise when it comes to Kristen’s books, I read this one cover to cover in one day. It was everything I hoped for to tie up this series that I have loved so much. Mia and Camden were delicious and sweet and this Second Chance Romance will be among my favorite I’ve ever read.
Kristen’s writing appeals to me on every level. The stories she writes are romantic and funny and have interesting characters...with so much character. It sounds silly but it’s so true. Every person in each story is so special and feels necessary to the story whether they are in one chapter or all of them. She is the best romance “series” writer I have found. The way the books connect, one to the next and the way you get to keep characters from book to book is so special and effortless.
I related so much to Mia’s workaholic, control freak tendencies. I also related to the passionate and loving side of her. Camden was like a cool breeze. He was just what Mia needed in her life to help her let go of the control a little and relax. Their chemistry was hot and their love for one another poured off the pages. I didn’t need a lot of angst in this one and I’m glad I didn’t get it. I’ve wanted Mia’s happily ever after for so long and now I have it.
Like I always do, I will miss this group of people terribly. There is this mix of emotions that comes with finishing a KP series. I feel a sense of longing and sadness that it’s over yet completely content that everyone got their happily ever after.
Kristen Proby’s final book in her Fusion series has been much anticipated for me since book one. Mia is a character that grew on me from the very beginning so it’s bittersweet that with Mia’s HEA the end of this series is here. Mia is every woman, she’s sweet and spicy, soft and hard, tough and insecure. Savor You was the perfect end to this series because I love a good second chance romance! Mia and Camden are 10 years in the making. Ten years ago, in the beginning of their mutual cooking careers, they had a fast and intense love affair but then life knocked Mia upside down. Instead of staying to work it out, Mia runs without an explanation. Now they are both successful chefs and with a TV Show throwing them back together, there is only so much running Mia can do once Camden sets his sights on the one who got away. I loved this novel so much that I can’t even express it properly. I would highly recommend reading Savor You and give it 5 stars!
Savor You is the perfect ending to Kristen Proby's Fusion Series. The story isn't rushed and does justice to the characters. The charaters are in their thirty's and the relationships are a testment to that maturity. In Savor You we get Mia and Camden's story. Mia and Camden have a past that ended upbruptly and completely. Mia has focused on her career and very little else. As we've learned in the pervious installments Mia is a bit of a workaholic and the resturant her and her friends own is on the culinary map and popularty and recongnition is rising. Camden is a celebrity chef from her past that is set to compete against her. Very quickly they address their past and learn that when it comes to their attraction for each other there's no competetion. Mia and Camden re-establish their connection and navigate their relationship learning about each other and adding that great tool of communication and trust. We get some updates on the rest of the cast and leave the Seduction family satisfied.
Savor You showcases Kristen Proby’s talent for smart and sexy writing, outstanding characterization and snappy dialogue imbued with her deliciously acerbic wit. Camden and Mia were first friends and then lovers in culinary school, but things ended abruptly and sadly between them. They haven’t spoken in 10 years, but their attraction is still burning hot when they reunite to face off in the kitchen. Their connection is quickly reestablished and feels natural and easy, even while they confront their past. They are extremely likable and utterly relatable characters, and their evolution as a couple feels grounded and believable but also heartwarmingly romantic. Savor You is a spicy and delicious second-chance romance with all of the right ingredients.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This author is one of my favorites and I totally loved every minute of Mia and Camden's story. Mia is the cook at the restaurant and is a workaholic. All her friends have been matched and now it is her turn, when her ex comes to town and is casted along with her in a chef cooking reality show.
Camden and Mia were married some ten years before but she never thought they loved each other. So she took off, annulled the marriage and this is the first time they have seen each other in ten years. He has always had a thing for Mia and he wants her back.
This was a fun story and Camden is adorable. He is all in and he wants Mia back. This is their story of falling in love, getting to know each other and working together. Camden works to get Mia to enjoy life more and enjoy her success and be less of a workaholic.
Sweet, considerate, sexy men are unicorns and Mia found hers in Camden...then she threw him away. Ten years later the former couple, now both successful chefs, find themselves forced to work together on a t.v. food competition show. Mia’s personality is a little prickly and she’s a lot insecure about her weight, but Camden sees past all of that to the passionate, kind, desirable woman underneath. It doesn’t take long to realize the strong connection they shared still exists and sparks fly!
Kristen Proby has a way of writing her interconnected books that make you want to be a member of their tight knit group, to be besties with the fun loving women and marry all the ridiculously delicious men. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the amazing couples at Fusion, but the epilogue provides a satisfying, full circle conclusion to the series.
I've really enjoyed this series and was looking forward to Mia's book since the start. Her and Camden's second chance love was sweet, sexy and has me sad this series is over. Both Chefs, Camden and Mia are strong and driven people who are very competitive which are common traits in the restaurant industry. A chef myself, I really enjoyed the kitchen element to this book. Loved hearing from the other couples in the previous books and their relationships and lives. Excited for what's next from this great author!
Mia and Camden's story was beautifully written by Kristen Proby!! I am sad that this is the last book in the Fusion series, but it has been a great ride reading through each of the woman's lives that make Fusion thrive!
Mia has been broken for the last 10 years. When she left her old life she thought it was for a fresh new start. When Camden comes back, all the sparks were there and it seems the Heat factor was more intense. Talk about emotions being bottled up for 10 years! It felt like when these two get together, the atmosphere becomes almost combustible. I would not, could not put this book down <3
I really loved the romance, the bantering, the food, and the drama that had me gasping for air. The epilogue at the end was perfect!
Strong women, tempting men and tasty romance. Savor You is a smorgasbord of emotion. Proby turns on the seduction with the women of Fusion. This time around the mysterious Mia is faced with a past she can't forget. Mia is used to being in control. Her life revolves around her friends, family and her kitchen. So what happens when the man who makes her lose all sense of control, shows up and throws her need for organization into chaos? SPARKS!! The past has come back to haunt her and her heart may not survive the blow? For Camden, Mia is the one that got away. For Mia, Camden is the man she can't forget. Fall in love with the sisterhood, family and romance, that only Kristen Proby can deliver. Sexy, sassy and sensational.
Liked it. It was more fluff than anything but this series in particular tends to “try” for something super dramatic instead of give natural drama.
I liked that the heroine was fat because I wasn’t walking in with that knowledge. I loved the female narrator but am not a fan of Sebastian York.
This is a combo of second chance, unplanned pregnancy and office but it didn’t go as deep into the last one as much as I wanted. Everything seemed to end very convenient and it just felt too easy but I enjoyed, just not enough to five star it.
Kristen Proby mixed a second chance trope with chefs. It just doesn't get much better than that! Mia and Camden had an almost accidental relationship when they were in school that ended in a way that haunted both of them. When they come together again, Mia is so not in favor of having anything to do with him. Camden has to work hard to get things back on the right track, but he's as talented at other things as he is in the kitchen. The question is, how long can Mia hold out?
I really, really enjoyed this book and plan on going back to read the others in the series.
Savor You is the Sexy, Swoon worthy, and yummy! Elizabeth @ White Hot Reads
"I've fallen in love with a man that I think I've been in love with for ten years" ~ Kristen Proby
This line was when I fell head over heel for this couple. This is a second chance love story and sparks fly as soon as their eyes meet. Camden and Mia's story is the story that has been building for the entire series. You have seen Mia closed off with each book, more unhappy. Until Now! Camden is just her brand of brownies and desire all rolled into one!! #Swooning
