The Only Drawing Book You'll Ever Need to Be the Artist You've Always Wanted to Be

Great intro for true beginners learning how to see for drawing purposes. Not an advanced workbook, but a great guide with some techniques included. It's sophisticated enough for adults and could frustrate younger kids, but I'd think this book would be fun for anyone interested in developing their artistic eye and learning how to practice real drawing technique.

We have used this book in our homeschooling art program. It's been great for teaching the kids how to draw. The difference of when they started and finished was amazing! They are such better artists now. I'm a better artist too. The directions are simple and easy to follow. It can easily be split up into classes. It doesn't request a bunch of expensive materials either. They use things that you have around the house for subjects, which is nice too. Really, really liked this book. Excellent investment!

The book's title sounding good for my granddaughter who is 7. When the book arrived I looked inside and I feel it is for a more advance artist not a beginner. I will be giving it to her and am anxious to see how she does with it.

The age recommendation for this book is 8 and up. Although it may be a bit advanced for an eight yr old, a child that is serious about learning to draw will enjoy it. I highly recommend this book. I bought it for a child but just ordered another copy to keep for myself. Many of the subjects explained in this book, I had to PAY to learn in college!!. Great book for a great price!!!
