Racer

Her male protagonists are always over-the-top sexy. Chemistry is off the charts, love her wording and descriptions. I read this in about two hours. I couldn't make myself slow down. But it was two hours well spent!! So . . . what's the next book coming out, Katy? :-)

I loved everything about this book. The characters were unique and engaging and the chemistry between Racer and Lana was of the charts. If you love the Real series, you will love this story of the next generation. I couldn't have asked for better!

I ended up listening to this on audio instead and it made my grocery shopping experiences amazing !! Who wouldn't be excited about Remy and Brooke's son all grown up , hot , sexy and a race car driver. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree when it comes to Remy and his son. I enjoyed that , fell for it and also enjoyed there being an HEA despite some of the drama and heartache.

Racer may be an illegal street racer but why not try his hand at F1. Lana is trying to bring her family team back to life and make her father proud and what better way than to do that than having the cocky boy racer come on board !! It may have been insta love but being a racing book that kind of makes sense. I enjoyed the steam , loved the tender and caring moments and of course held on tight for the sharp turns. It was nice to see Remy and Brooke as parents and still happily married. I wonder if Racer's sister will get a book ?? I still have a couple books in between to catch up with but I always loved this series and it brings back memories of when I first started reading on a kindle app on my little Ipod touch !!!!

Gahhh!!! I was super excited to read Racer Tate's story as I could not get enough of his dad Remy and the Real series. Good Lord let me take a breath! This story was refreshingly honest and so so sexy that I could not turn the pages fast enough. Racer and Lana were everything! He was strong, protective and the growly alpha (apple of his daddy's eye) that Lana fell completely in love with. This story had friendship, passion, love and such a strong connection between our main protagonists. I did not want it to end!

Faced with her father's terminal illness and the eventual failure of her family's Formula 1 racing team, Lana Heyworth goes on a quest to find the perfect Indy circuit driver who could turn her family's racing team around and bolster her father's mood and dreams during his last days. What she finds is the hottest man to turn her world upside down. His name: Racer Tate, the number one street racing driver known for his astounding abilities behind the wheel and his equally notorious manwhore ways. But with one look at Lana, Racer decides that she is the woman for him and sets a course to set both her and the Formula one industry on fire. But what happens when passions flare and the reality of their relationship is a little too Real? Will Lana and Racer make it through the checkered flag?

This book was really great. I enjoyed it alot and loved Racer and Lana's chemistry, passion and connection. While I would usually roll my eyes at such an insta-connection, there was something about Racer that just made me go with it. Like his Dad, he saw who he wanted and made it happen. It was so exciting to see. Furthermore, without giving away any spoilers, like the earlier Real books with Remy, this book touches on mental illness and the effects it has on Racer and his relationship. Evans seamlessly weaves Racer and Lana's relationship with the myriad of highs and lows he faced on a daily basis and the subsequent ways in which his illness was dealt with. I wanted to commend the way Ms. Evans once again handled this sensitive topic as it was so wonderfully written. 

All in all, this story was great and a fitting addition to the Real series!! I hope we get Iris story in the future! Bravo, 4 stars! ~Ratula

Racer Tate does his father proud. Remington Tate is one of my ultimate, favorite heroes. Real, Mine, and Remy will always hold a special place in my heart, and Racer has now joined them in that place!

Racer and Lana are so in sync with each other, the feels are absolutely amazing in their story! I love the way they connect, the way they talk to one another, and the pure and definite knowledge Racer has when he meets her, that she is H I S. I love the way she takes care of her family, and how they wrap Racer up into the fold - and I LOVE the way HE takes care of HER. I could FEEL the intensity of their relationship, and at the same time I would consider this a low-angst story because although there are times I wanted to smack Lana for her back & forth, they don't have any unnecessary "break ups" or relationship drama. The angst & any drama is story driven and completely understandable!

For the most part, this is a 5+ star read. However, a few things took me out of the story and made it just slightly less perfect for me. There are some interesting editing issues - missing or incorrect words pop up enough that I noticed it, so not just once or twice. There are also some story jumps/story flow issues that are a different kind of editing issue. Again, these were enough to briefly take me out of the story, so have to be mentioned.

Despite the little hiccups, this story warmed my heart and is going on my favorites/re-read shelf, because it left me feeling happy and satisfied, and that's really all I want out of a story!! : )

The one and only son of Remington Tate, our beloved Remy of Real... and Brooke, and, and, and I JUST CAN'T EVEN!

The apple didn't fall far from the tree when it comes to Racer Tate, he most certainly is a chip off the old block *wink* Like father, like son. The intensity was off the charts as Katy Evans weaves and spins the heck out of the the emotional highs and lows; never slowing, going full throttle around every twist and turn throughout the course of Racer and Lana's story. There are so many layers to this book and they meld so perfectly, creating an ending that made me sit and hug my e-reader for a while. So, so, so perfect!! GAH!

Even the bluest of blue eyes have their dark days, not shying away from mental illness, Katy Evans delves deep within Racer to bring his whole being and essence to the forefront for readers to grasp all the "ugly" that lurks within which isn't all that ugly and terrible at all with the right people by your side. Challenges are met and faced for both Racer and his Crasher with an outcome I didn't see coming! You just need to read this book now! Take it for a spin, you won't be disappointed.

As always Katy Evans, this story was breathtaking! I loved every glorious word...to say I was looking forward to Remy's sons book would be a gross understatement! Racer...strong, protective, alpha, hmmm remind you all of anyone? ;) Lana...driven, gorgeous and completely in love with Racer! The chemistry between the two leads is off the charts sexy!!! Lana may have been searching for the perfect driver but she found so much more in that muscle bound, alpha male street racer named RACER!!! Will he be smitten with the gorgeous daughter of the failing Formula One team with just one look? Remind you of some other fabulous couple we all love ;)
Man I just loved these characters, Katy's words...One of my all time favorite sports romance series. Can't wait to get this paperback to add to my bookshelf too! Such a gorgeous cover and model! 5 HUGEMONGOUS stars from this devoted Katy Evans groupie lol

Anytime I want a book starring a self-assured, alpha male, I turn to Katy Evans. 

Racer is a heart-pounding and hot read, about Racer Tate, Remy Tate's son, a street racer living it up in Florida. Lana 's family owns an F1 racing team that's in desperate need of a driver. Their paths cross, sparks fly, and ... Well, you'll have to grab the book yourself to figure out the rest! 

Holy hannah is Racer hot. He's cut from the same cloth as his dad—cocky, playful, devilishly handsome, and when he falls for someone, he falls hard. He's sex on a stick, animalistic between the sheets, and has the potential to make or break the woman who chooses to give her heart to him. I loved seeing him in his more vulnerable moments, and watching him give his heart over to Lana. I also loved how passionate he is about racing and the lengths in which he'll go to ensure he wins. His passion bled right off the pages. 

The details of the story were authentic and real to me. It's very obvious that Katy either spent a lot of time researching the different types of racing, or she's somehow involved with it, because everything she wrote was so detailed and real. This made the book even more enjoyable to read, because nothing felt manufactured. 

The story itself moved along great. There's an instant attraction between Lana and Racer, but this isn't what I'd consider an insta-love story, and I liked that there was a good amount of sexual tension and build up between these two. And as always, the sex scenes were practically on fire in this. Katy does a ridiculously good job when it comes to writing these scenes, and I'm pretty sure there will be a number of us who can say our panties about exploded while reading. 

Fans of the Real series will love this story, especially when Katy brings us a glimpse of salt-and-pepper haired Remy Tate ... Who still comes across as the confident and sexy man he was when the series first started. I was all smiles when I came across scenes with my favorite fighting man in them. 

If you're looking for a book that's filled with sex, action, and swoon-worthy moments, then Racer is definitely the story for you!

Katy Evans always brings us a sexy steamy story that just sucks me in! She knows how to write an alpha male like nobody’s business and even though they may be a little flawed, you end up falling head over heals in love with them and Racer Tate is no exception! Now I did not read any of the prior books in the Real Series. I started with Ms Evans after those books have been published and I’ve been trying my hardest to get back to read them but time always fails me! Racer is a total swoon worthy read that will make you fall in love! I did! This is told in dual points of views and can be read as a standalone.

Lana works with her brothers and father and run a Formula 1 racing team. With her father falling ill and the team holding on by a thread, she must find a driver that can win some races and put their team back on track. They’ve had only minor success but Lana is determined to find a driver that will put them among the elite teams. She knows her father is not doing well and just wants to make him proud. He’s always dreamed of being top of the leaderboard and she will stop at nothing to make sure that happens.

Enter Racer Tate. He’s known as the top street racer but has no experience in Formula 1. From the moment he meets Lana he knows she’s special. There is something about her that he’s drawn to and will do anything to make her dreams come true.

Can Racer and Lana have a professional and personal relationship? Racer is relentless on pursuing her but Lana knows her focus must be on the team.
