I really enjoyed reading this book. It take place mostly under Paris and it fueled my curiosity, especially since I would never do anything like that. It's weird because the catacombs actually exist. It's very imaginative. Good work.

This was a really good book. Lots of scary parts in the book. I stayed up late to finish it because I wanted to find out what happened to Danielle and Will. The author really knows how to keep your interest, and the time in the catacombs is really terrifying.

Really well written and interesting story. Excellent in terms of descriptions and dialogue but lacked that real sense of dread as the party got further into the catacombs. Probably a few too many characters and side plots.
Less a horror story, more a solid adventure /drama with a well researched historical background.

Very engrossing read! I was hooked from early on. The writing style is a litttle different but wasn't hard to get used to. The story line was so suspenseful! I couldn't put it down! Just when you think the story was about to wrap up another twist came along! Great read!

Nothing supernatural, but definitely suspenseful. The part that terrified me most was the claustrophobic feeling I got while reading it. The book could have been shorter but all in all I couldn't stop reading it.

Bates has done it again. He has written another thriller with a flair for character description. This is an intensely interesting horror story that will take you to a place you never would visit on your own.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The setting is what initially convinced me to give it a try (I'm fascinated by the Paris Catacombs) and I'm so glad I did - I actually tore through it in two days, mostly at work, stealing a few pages whenever I could. Bates especially excels in creating a chilling atmosphere and believable characters. I will definitely be checking out more of his books!

I started reading this author with this book and just could not put it down. There is nothing as satisfying as finding a new author with several books to his credit! I am now hooked on reading every single book. If you like Greg Olsen or Jeffrey Deaver, Jeremy Bates is a great new talent.

Absolutely loved this book. Purchased the 4 book set by Jeremy Bates. I love how he writes a story based upon real locations that are supposed to be haunted. I have always been interested in this location, love the spin on it!

A non-stop page-turner! Some of Bates' descriptions of the progress through the catacombs had me feeling so claustrophobic I almost had to stop reading. Ever time I stopped reading, I couldn't wait to start reading again.
