LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! I recommend it to everyone I know that is afflicted with ADHD/ADD. It is very easy to read and understand and the bout of comedy makes it very enjoyable as well. I definitely see why it is considered the "bible" for individuals with ADD!

The infromaton in this book helps a person to recognize where the problems originate and how to get them under control.
The title and book are thought provoking, they caused me to examine myself and helped me to find some answers.

Having read one another book recommended by my doctor on the subject, I like this one better. It is more on the person level AND offers helps. The other one I had read described the problem, but was more of a scientific/ doctors type book.

This one tells of issues-characteristics you may see depending on the individual and then later provides steps-suggestions you can work on to get a balance in your life. It helps greatly, IF APPLIED, to calm-stabilize the roller coaster effect of our emotions-actions.

IN any case, it will be a challenge and a positive help.

First, you immediately realize that the authors get it. They put the important information first recognizing that those with ADD might have a hard time reading from front to back. Next, they have it laid out so you can choose selected self-contained chapters to read. Easy to jump around. Finally, serious and lighthearted with some useful strategies.

I bought this book because I'm always looking for solutions to the problem, not just diagnosis of the problem. This is a very practical, pragmatic, reality based book. With every issues mentioned for ADD, the author gives ways to address it to help the one dealing with ADD. I learned things I did not know, such as the issues dealing with time/space and why this occurs. This is a must read for anyone with ADD or who lives in the same house with an ADD member. Tons of information - once you begin to read, you can't put it down.

I have always known that I follow a different drummer from most other people; however, I never thought it was anything other than some kind of flaw in my character. This book offers order and coherence to my personality, and gives me and people like me understanding, respect and hope.

Bought this because my adult son read it and finally recognized that he was ADHD.. No one had ever diagnosed it as well when he was growing up. The info in the book was very helpful to him and to me.

Two nurses wrote this book on adult ADD; they
both have it. I read this book when in my late 40's
and thought, My gosh! This book was written about
me! It showed me I wasn't retarded, but there was
a name for my life-long "scatter-brainess". I
then told my doctor my symptoms and was put on
a medication that has totally changed my life.

Arrived used (which I chose) and in EXCELLENT condition. Well-written and engaging. Rather than approaching the subject in a cold, clinical fashion, the authors talk WITH the reader, respecting his/her intelligence. Also, the writing style seems to be tailored to people with ADD: short paragraphs and simple sentence structure. Insightful with many practical suggestions for successful living.

This book is written in clear, concise language by ADDers. It lists symptoms but also the drivers behind behaviors. It give insight into the life (and brain) of an ADD person. It gives encouragement to ADDers and those who must deal with them. It gives neither license nor excuse to ADD persons...but also gives neither license nor excuse to those who must deal with them. It is practical, well organized, and non-clinical, so it is not so easy to put aside before finishing. Well done.

Kelly and Ramundo have done a masterful job in explaining a very complicated and utterly debilitating condition. More important to the sufferer, the authors offer important techniques to mitigate the anxiety and pain.

This book was/is very helpful in identifying and validating ADD and ADHD in adults and how it effects relationships, jobs, school, self concept, and day to day functioning. There are helpful strategies for coping with and improving many issues that plague the ADD/ADHD adult. It was confirming to recognize that the issues are real and can be dealt with to find success and happiness.
