I can't honestly recommend this book, because I purchased this book as a gift. However, my wife and more than one of her friends think this author and his books are very entertaining and is at least her 6th.

The book satirized, among other things, a "reality" television survivalist. Hiaasen does in print what many of us wish we could do in real life. If you ever find yourself rooting for the animals in the alligator farm, this book is for you.

I originally bought this for myself, then found out the one name titles that Hiaasen writes are written for teen age readers. My son, age 11, ripped through the book faster then I had ever seen him read a book.

Great find for readers of all ages.

If Carl Hiaasen can't keep you laughing and entertained with his Florida based whimsical stories, no one can. Great characters, crazy plots and that wonderful Hiaasen dialogue. You just can't put his stories down.

I love all of Carl Hiaasen's books! His characters and writing style are so entertaining, I whip right through the books. Chomp was no exception. A fun and easy read, the story line was good..and I was disappointed the book had to end! As an adult, I find his kids books just as entertaining to read. Chomp was just as good as Hoot and Flush. Enjoy!

Very similar to other Florida based adventures written by Carl Hiaasen. Chomp was chosen as a book club book at the school I work at, so I thought I would give it a shot. It is a fun, fast paced adventure.

I love everything this guy writes, wether for children or adults! This story has great characters that you can't help cheer on..even Badger in the end. I'm hoping Carl will write another story about this quirky family and have Tuna with them!

Like all his books, this one was hilarious; in fact, even though it was allegedly written for teens, it was even funnier than his last "adult" book. I love it when Hiaasen takes on some of the "sacred cows" of our pop culture and eviscerates them.

Mr Hiaasen has provided us with another hilarious escapade, this time about the endangered and overly developed Everglades, in his much appreciated series for teens. Even as a grownup, I enjoyed his story.

Nobody Beats Hiaasen for stories about Florida's overpopulation and endangered wildlife! Carl manages to keep all the characters central to the conclusion of the book which is quite a feat considering how many personalities are involved!

Originally i picked up "Razor Girl" and thoroughly enjoyed it. So I ordered his four best sellers.
I should have been a bit more diligent. The four I ordered [SCAT, CHOMP, HOOT and FLUSH] are all "young adult books".
I have now read all four and they were very good. I am now passing them on to my grand children. Good plots and characters. Great messages and all very good reads.
