Okay, I completely liked this book and I was definitely happy to see that the "Later I would find.." statement was drastically reduced in this book. I almost hated reading so much of it in the first one. The story picks up where the last one left off. You still have Mac trying to prove she was up to the challenge of revenge and saving the world, Barrons is still being a jerk, and Vlane - well I don't know what his angle is. He takes a turn I hadn't quite expected and I don't know where it's going. The story is written well with many twists and turns. Although, I feel that what was driven to be the main plot in the first one (getting revenge and seeking out OOPs) didn't hardly appear in this one. I was also quite frustrated to have Barrons and Mac finally show that they do actually have chemistry, only to have it start then stop and go absolutely nowhere. With them studiously ignoring it, I was annoyed. There is plenty of events that are traumatic but could have used a little more details and action scenes. Other than that, a good read.

Although Mac is still talking about bikinis and clothes non stop, it was more fun watching her evolve in this book. At least she isn't talking about he tan legs anymore. Definitely going to stick around to see what happens next.

Ultra complex and suspenseful and dark at same time. Karen Moning is excellent. Try the entire series in order please, you will love it. If you don't read the first one first you will be lost.. Just a hint.

Bloodfever continues where Darkfever left off. The story grows bolder, the adventure more intense, and what was a whisper of romance is now a hint. When this book ended, I couldn't wait to get to the next book and I've read this story before. Love it!

Moning does a great job of mixing humor, intrigue and romance in this latest Fever Novel. I call this style of book beach fodder, because there are no moral lessons to learn, no deep thought, just good fun for when you're relaxing on a beach. And you don't feel so bad leaving it behind for the next vacationer to enjoy.

NOTE: This series is progressive, each picking up where the other left off so it is impossible to avoid spoilers of preceding books. If you don't like spoilers, do NOT read this review until you've finished Darkfever.

After MacKayla Lane went to Ireland to find the answers to her sister's death, Mac found a new world she never knew existed. Mac may have defeated the Dark Lord who killed her sister, but she still has many enemies to face. Then there is the added fact that she has recently learned she is not who she thought she was and may have a whole new legacy to uphold.

With two equally disturbing men vying for her attention and her loyalty to their respective mission, Mac is learning Jericho Barrons has so many secrets of his won. Then there's Seelie prince V'lane who just wants to seduce her. But the evil book, the Sinsar Dubh is still out there and until it is found and protected, there is constant fear of the nasty Unseelies or other baddies gaining control. But how can she retrieve the book when her sidhe-seeing abilities cause her great agony whenever it is close? Then there is the question of who is the mysterious old woman who keeps popping up in Mac's life?

The adventure and death defying battles never quit in Karen Marie Moning's dark fantasy Fever series. I am quite happy to see in Bloodfever that Mac has gained a little more skill and maturity as her story continues. I had a few moments I wanted to smack her for doing something foolish, but there were far fewer instances of this than there were in Darkfever. As she learns more about the Fae world in Dublin, she comes to realize how grave the situation is. She also begins to come into her abilities more fully, and discovers a few things about herself she never expected.

I have to admit though that many times I was sitting here thinking as I listened, just what the heck is Jericho Barrons? He was a mystery in Darkfever but here in Bloodfever he is so much more mysterious. He seems like one of the good guys, but is he really? I have a couple theories as to what he is and what his plans entail so I hope to find out before too long if my hunches are correct.

Once again Joyce Bean does a brilliant job of performing the story and I am so grateful I didn't have to learn all those confusing words and how to say them! I'd be entirely lost if I had to begin to guess how to say half of them. Joyce Bean is one of my favorite audio book performers and Bloodfever cements her even more securely in my selected list of "I'd listen to them read the phone book" narrators.

I'm glad I bought Darkfever and Bloodfever at the same time. Once I finished Darkfever (it was past 11 p.m. and I should have been going to sleep), I just had to start Bloodfever.

Bloodfever continues Mac's saga of finding her sister's killer, and discovering her heritage. It's wonderful to watch/read as she discovers her inner strength, and how she stands up to Barrons, and others.

It's reading "by the seat of your pants". I can't wait for Faefever to come out, and know that I'll re-read Darkfever and Bloodfever again first.

I would so rate this book 10 out of 5. :)

Now that the world building is done, I'm enjoying the story. Love our H/h! They are perfectly matched to me. Mac is learning more about herself and her abilities. The tension is building between our H/h and I look forward to book 3 to see what happens next.

I enjoyed this book. It is very compelling. Mac is learning a lot about herself, her abilities and those around her. The tension and mystery of Barrons is driving me crazy but keeps me turning pages. I'm looking forward to the next book. Will they get together?

I seldom write a review; I love this series, Karen's books keep me wanting more. I am waiting for January 2017. Why? To find out the answer to the cliff hanger. Her stories give you the full range of emotions, real strong emotions. Her books are about life, changes, growing up, what if's, nothing predictable. I am not writing what happens because you can read that for yourself.

I read the first installment in this series, Darkfever, and loved it so was waiting for the second book. Bloodfever was just as good, with the plot moving right along. The story is a little different than the regular vampire/werewolf/witch, (of which I read many), but really keeps you interested. I don't, however, like the way Karen ends the book - or more correctly, leaves you hanging. I realize there is a third book coming but the end was too abrupt. I'm looking forward to book three in this series and would recommend this series to anyone looking for a good read.

I am hooked thanks to a friend that recommended this book to me. It is a complicated read so I am glad of the glossary of who's who and what's what....This story is told from Mac's (Mackayla) Journal. Her sister was brutally murdered in Dublin and Mac has gone to find out who murdered Alina. Mac found out she was adopted and that she is a Null ("A Sidhe-seer that has the power to freeze a Fae with the touch of his or her hands. While frozen, it is is completely powerless.") Sidhe-seer ( "A person Fae magic doesn't work on, capable of seeing past the illusions or 'glamour' cast by the Fae to the true nature that lies beneath.") Like I said it is a complicated story. I loved the story and I am now starting onto the next book in this series. It looks like there are 7 books in this series so far.

The whole series is captivating. It's one of those that you can read over and over and never tire of the story, the characters, and adventure.
I recommend this to anyone that wants adventure and fantasy surrounding a little romance.

The Fever Series is great! Every book I have read has been awesome. Some of the books contain too many sexual references for a young person. It is definitely geared towards adults. It was exciting, entertaining, and had an action packed story line. I loved it. The book also arrived quickly in good condition.

This series is unlike any I have read before. Each book gets more interesting and exciting. I couldn't put it down!! I love Mac, the main character and that she was just an ordinary girl but now has discovered something so supernatural inside of her with endless potential. Most if all, I can't wait to find out what is going to come of her relationship with Barrons! This is definitely my new favorite and addicting series!
