This series have so many great reviews that I thought I would give it a try so I purchased books 1 and 2.

I would go on and on about my problems whith these books, but I'll try to make it brief. First of all it seems to be no plot nor place for the "vampire" thing in the first book and even if the second gets slightly better, it is just not enough.

For example, the female protagonist is a born vampire but when his little brother fells in a trap she can't pull him up, she is not strong enough. Really?

You don't really get to know much about most of the characters, for example, where do they get money from?... and so on.

Grammatical and editing errors were also pretty annoying. And last but not least, even if I like my romances steamy and in these books there was sex over and over, it was very poorly written and not hot at all.

I came across this book when looking for more vampire stories. I read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. This is a great book. I loved the family dynamics and the h/h were wonderful. I had to go back to the first book since I read this one out of order. I recommend this series if you are into vampires.

This book definitely kept me sucked in and wanting to find out what happens next. The author's grammar/spelling leave something to be desired in some cases, but if you are just reading for pleasure, it's not that big of a deal. I love this type of story, I loved the first book (Awakened), but I didn't like how this one ended. I'd really like it if there was another book in this series to continue the story.

The first book, Awakenings, had a story and characters that redeemed the poor writing. But the main male character in Destined was so repulsive I could not read it and instead put the book in my paper recycling. Couldn't think of anyone I would pass it along "too". Dreadful.

Great sequel, looking forward to the next book. With all the great characters in these stories, I feel she has an endless supply for many more. I feel I've become a fan and will be looking for more books by this author. Thank you Brenda Davies may you have a long and prolific writing career. Janice Mote

I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved how the characters from the first book intertwined with this book. I am definitely looking forward to more work by Brenda K. Davies. You could see a definite difference in writing skills between the two books and I believe they will keep getting better. Just like with Awakened I could not put the book down. I was so enthralled with the characters. Nicely done!

This book has a predictable theme and heavily laced with sexual details. I feel the story would have been great if the history of the family and the members there of had been fleshed out more as well as Stephan's history. This is a no brained book which is only partially entertaining.

Thought it was funny and good. I liked the storyline and they were in ways a believable family. However I hate how in a lot of books including this one the heroine is afraid of love. I mean come on if a hot strong guy wanted me with a passion I wouldn't put up that much of a fight.

So very much enjoyed this story. Flows fantastically throughout. First time reading this author as well...very impressed I must say. All the characters here are unique in their own and I look forward to more stories about this family.

The author used "instinctively" so many times throughout the book that I began to cringe every time I saw it. Also, it was obvious that the book could have been improved had it been edited. Overall, I was disappointed in the book and felt it lacked any depth whatsoever.

After all the hell that Stefan put me through throughout the entirety of this book (especially the first half of it) I cannot give this more than three stars. However, I cannot give it any less due to the truly sophisticated nature of Davies' writing. Once again, she has managed to create a unique and captivating world with her vampire characters.

Isabelle is the second oldest child of Sera and Liam's ten children. (WOWZAH!!) She has lived her entire life safely ensconced in her family's rural territory. She is perfectly content with her secluded lifestyle, along with her older brother Ethan, until one fateful night she meets Stefan, the vampire destined to change her eternity forever.

Stefan is a lone-vampire, over 200 years old, with a dark and treacherous past. He has spent many years on his own, trying to find a place to call home, when he meets Issy; a sassy, born-vampire female determined to fight his advances at every turn. But he is determined to have her, whether she accepts him or not.

So...as I said before, Stefan put me and Issy through all kinds of Hell throughout this entire book, all because he was too afraid to man up and own his feelings for her. His condescending attitude and unending arrogance and dismissal of her feelings had me raging on multiple occasions. F***er. After finishing this book, I've taken a neutral stance when it comes to him. I no longer hate the guy, but at the same time I also kind of hate him. Ya catch my drift? Ugh. I am officially Switzerland.

This who thing was a bit to melodramatic for my tastes. I LOVED seeing how Sera and Liam's family has grown and expanded over the past couple decades, and it warms me to see my favorite couple so in love and still going strong. But that shiz that played out between Issy, Stefan, and Jess (Frickin JESS) was like a douse of frigid water on my happy emotions. I have to say, I DETEST love triangles. ESPECIALLY when they are keeping the heroine from claiming her rightful guy. I just don't find enjoyment from that kind of drama and turmoil. If you don't have problems with love triangles or actually enjoy them then by all means PICK UP THIS BOOK! It really is a pretty good read.

Okay story, childish heroine, anticlimactic ending. Very little world building, boring descriptive paragraphs about nonessential things, overbearing hero that just seemed like a jerk instead of an alpha personality. There was potential.

I was looking for a read get the imagination moving and boy did it do that! I did not like how Stefan was portrayed as 'I am man, do as I say and obey'. Who falls for that? The captive way the main couple were molded together felt as if you could be there in the moment.

Not as good as awakening, which I loved! But still a good read that I would recommend. Same type of storyline but the author did a great job or not making it seem repetitive. I wish there were more books in the series

In the beginning I thought, new characters same plot, but as I got into it I changed my mind. Ms Davies is a good enough writer to carry a book without all the detailed sex scenes. The ending has a new twist which I liked. All and all a comfortable read.

This was fantastic. I love Vampire Romances and I find myself wanting to continue the series myself. I've tried to find the author with absolutely no luck. Would love to see what she is up to and convince her to continue.

I hate giving away details in reviews and simply try to let others know how I feel about it. The writing was alright but I would say if you get past that you will enjoy a different take on vampires...and although I have found the author to be a total mystery I do hope that she releases another book on this series.

Brenda Davies does a phenomenal job with her stories, plots and characters. Just like the first book I was not able to put this one down either. Filled with the same romance and suspense it takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

I loved this from the start...even better than the first book.... Ms. Davies did a great job of keeping the characters from the first book and continuing the love story of Liam and Sera...sexy and compelling...I couldn't put if down.

The story started off good--- plot was interesting; writing was good. However, mid point of the book, it started to address things that I thought were irrelevant at all hat point. This persisted towards end of book. I'm so disappointed that I didn't read the last 3-4 chapters because the repetitive nature was killing me.

Second and most important, I was extremely disgusted with Stephan's treatment of Isabelle. I do not know if the author was going to Mucho man character but how he treats her is abusive-- the way he commands her, gets upset, she becomes frightened of him and he tries to physically coerce her to do something she doesn't want. That's not love that's abuse. I work in this field and I hope people do not take their relationship to be romantic and ideal. I have read a lot of paranormal books where the authors (I feel) balances the males exerts their Mucho manly characteristics with them respecting the females's independence and assertiveness. Maybe this author should work on striking the right balance because as this book is Stephan's relationship with Isabelle is scary, abusive and not romantic
