Fun with Hand Shadows (Dover Children's Activity Books)

This book is simple to follow, but produces so many great animal shadows. It's great for all ages. My favorite part about it though is that each shadow comes with a cute little poem about the animal you are showing, making it even more entertaining. This was an excellent purchase, especially for the price.

Bought these for my cousins (7year olds) on their birthday, they found it hard to use. I tried making shadow puppets for them but it was extremely difficult. There are literally NO instructions on how to do them, you just have to try to figure out the shapes by looking at the photos (similar to the one in the cover)
the small poems that come with every shape is fun though.

This is a really cute book. While the shadow puppet instructions are easy to understand they are a little advanced for a small child to figure out on their own. My seven year old niece is really into doing shadow puppets right now. We enjoyed trying the different shadow puppets together. I know I can easily look this up on my smart phone for free but their is something to actually holding a book in your hands and looking through it together.

This is a sweet little book. I remember making hand shadows on the walls as a kid. My Dad taught me most of them. My Dad has now passed and I'm Nana to 5 grandest-kids. This book will help me remember the best of the best hand shadows to teach the little ones. The price was right, the book is exactly what I expected and shipping (with Prime) was fast.

Awesome. Just bloody awesome. Putting our kids to sleep was just too fast and easy, so we decided to get them this. Now we get to stay up with them an extra 30-45 minutes and get treated to a shadow puppet show. Every. *&*$&# Night.

Seriously, they love it and it's a lot of fun.
