Reviewed by Landon (4th grade)- The book Fuzzy Mud is a very good book. The reason I liked it is because it is a Battle of the Books book. It is about a boy named Marshall, a girl named Tamaya, and last but not least, a bully named Chad.

Fuzzy Mud was a really wonderful read. It doesn't match or surpass Holes in its greatness, but that is a ridiculously high bar. It tells a really engaging story with complex, flawed, sympathetic characters, and intersperses it with transcripts of government trials that give some background for the ecological disaster the characters are living through. It brings up wonderful environmental questions without being preachy, and also deals well with bullying. Recommended!

I enjoyed this and though it was well daunting it showed how soneone could lose EVERYTHING with one small action. Take Marshall , for example one day he is worying about a fist fight witha bully and in the next month a terrible disease. I suggest you read this, if you like Holes you should read this even though it's different.
Godsgrave: Book Two of the Nevernight Chronicle :: The City of Brass :: Stormdancer: The Lotus War, Book One :: Traitor's Blade: The Greatcoats Book 1 :: The Pout-Pout Fish Goes to School (A Pout-Pout Fish Adventure)

If you expect a similar book as the famous HOLES, you'll get disappointed. It's totally different kind of book.
Fuzzy Mud is more like a Michael Crichtonish biohazard Science Fiction. It's plenty scary and realistic which will be attractive to kids between 9 and 12 who are more serious and curious.
