Raw? YES. Beautiful? Absolutely, YES. Jamie does us no favor by allowing us to excuse or disregard our struggles and our sin, instead she gives us the gift of pointing us to Christ’s redemption! Through Jamie’s stories and deep insights, Jesus remains the theme. “Jesus is better” and I’m so grateful for this bold call to believe, accept and live daily as though He is! Don’t think twice, get a copy now! ...I mean, I highlighted half the book?! Thank you Jamie Ivey for your courage for the sweet gift of #ifyouonlyknewbook !

I consumed this within four hours of it arriving at my door. Jamie is real and writes like she talks (which I love). This is eye-opening and heart-opening. I will read it again after I share it with a good friend who could really use this book right now.

Already recommended this book to three other women. When you live with shame for so long it becomes a way of life and robs you of the joy God intends for your life. Thank you Jamie Ivy for shining your light for others to see their way out!

Jamie’s book was incredible. I couldn’t put it down and found myself in tears every few pages. Some tears of joy and some tears of gratefulness for Jamie reminding me of the sweet and tender heart of Jesus. Her book is full of reminders of who God is and the life we can live if we trust he is the grace-giving and sacrificial God we know He is! I will re-read this book over and over again! Thank you Jamie for being real and honest and relatable. Thank you for letting Jesus shine so brightly out of you!

I expected this book to have an awesome testimony, which it did, but more than that this book totally changed my outlook on sin and how to deal with sin in others. I loooooved it and recommend it to everyone, it’s geared toward women but men could reap a lot from this book too. An awesome, honest story of the process of walking with God.

Jamie Ivey writes a beautiful book filled with vulnerability and grace. She paints a picture of her life and how Jesus shaped those things in ways that she could have never imagined. She even braves taboo topics such as pornography. If you open your heart, You are bound to experience healing. Read this book and be ready to laugh, cry, and pursue Jesus in new ways.

I really loved this book! This will definitely be one of those books that I buy copies of to give to everyone I know. The freedom proclaimed in this book is needed for everyone, no matter where you are in your walk with God, from slightly interested in Him to someone who has been a Christian for years and years. This message is so needed!

This book is a must-read for everyone! Jamie writes in a remarkably open, honest, and vulnerable way. She is openly willing to share the stories of her past and present struggles and mistakes to encourage others to do the same. The thing I love most about the book is that Jamie constantly points people to Jesus. And I love that she reminds us that by sharing our "If you only knew" stories with others, we can find freedom and bring God glory. This is a book I will read over and over again and will share with everyone I know!

Stories are powerful and stories change the world. Jamie shares her story in a raw, honest, authentic way that points us to Jesus. God is in the business of redeeming each of our stories no matter how messy they may seem. No matter your story, Jamie reminds us that there is nothing that God cannot redeem for His Glory.

This book was freeing in the sense that Christians have to do better at telling their stories as they bring glory and honor to God. Let’s truly help one another and do the work that we have been called to do!
Amen

I have listened to Jamie’s blog from episode 1, and when she announced a book, I had to read it. There were so many times while reading that I thought, “Yes. Exactly. Me too.” She is so open and honest and vulnerable in the telling of her story and never stops praising Jesus. I loved every word.

I cannot even begin to describe just how brave and encouraging Jamie’s story is. We all have something in our lives that we wish everyone just knew, but Jamie was brave enough to go first. It’s a story of bravery and courage that I promise we will leave you encouraged and remembering that Jesus is better! Order it now...you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely loved this book!!! So nice to read about someone that loves the Lord and is open and honest about her struggles and sins. That's not always the case with Christian culture. I feel like I know Jamie and can relate to so much of what she wrote. She is not alone and as a Christian woman I benefited from her trials and struggles and to see the grace and goodness of God for all of us. Thanks for having the courage to share with all of us Jamie!!!

This book was such an amazing read! The truths spoken here will be life changing for anyone who reads it. This is the gospel, simplified and spoken in our every day language. This is important. We are not defined by the things we have done in our pasts. We are defined by what Jesus has done for us.

Jamie Ivey is a gifted interviewer on her own podcast The Happy Hour where she allows her guests to share their stories each week. In this book, she lays out her own vulnerable story of how Jesus worked in her life and granted her real freedom. Jamie often says that she believes "stories change the world" and I'm glad she shared her own here for us. Her conversational, relational tone draws you in and will help you see God's grace in your own life, no matter what.

Jesus is better. That’s the message of this book. He is greater than our worst mistake, than all of our shame, and He came full of mercy and grace and forgiveness...He came to set us FREE. Jamie vulnerably tells her story of how Jesus freed her from the bonds of shame and is brave enough to share with us how He is still working in her life. If you love her podcast, you will love this book. In all she does, she points people to Jesus...and He is better.

Jamie is one of the most authentic people. She brings that authenticity and her willingness to be vulnerable to light in this book. If You Only Knew shows how God truly works to change lives no matter what baggage we bring to him. Her book is an amazing scripture filled tribute to what God can do in our lives when we start believing Jesus really is better than anything this world has to offer and see ourselves through his eyes.

"Being vulnerable with someone says to them that you value them, that you welcome them into your life. All the parts. The good, the bad, and the ugly."

Jamie Ivey embraces vulnerability. I knew this from my addiction to her podcast, where she not only speaks truth but creates a space for others to do the same. However, her voice in this book is even more real, even more raw.

Jesus is better, and this book will draw you closer to him, closer to your friends and family, and closer to the truest version of yourself.

I am buying copies for my friends. I cannot wait to get my hands on the real pages of this book, where I plan to mark and highlight and read and reread.

Beautiful beautiful book.

I’m so appreciative of Jaime for writing this book! I couldn’t put this book down. I felt like Jaime was a friend telling me her story. It was captivating and so helpful for me to understand what secrets do to us and how they keep us from the freedom God has for us. How they keep us from sharing the good news of what God has done in our lives. What an amazing read! Thanks again Jaime!

A beautiful story of Gods redemptive grace in our lives. I love Jamie’s honesty and openness! I believe everyone can benefit from reading her story and maybe it can open doors for others of us to tell our story and make an impact on someone’s life.

This book is a game changer. Jamie Ivey tells her story of Jesus meeting her where she was and changing her whole perspective on life. I love the concept of us opening up to others and being honest. We must go first to open the door to deep friendships, deep relationships with God, and a passion for people!

Everyone has made mistakes and choices that are different than what God intended for our lives. When we share those mistakes and our past, we allow Him to heal us and it gives others the courage to share their story. Jamie shares how she came to realize this truth.

This was a very good read. Having listened to Jamie Ivey's podcast for years, it was obvious that she wrote this book in her full on, truth telling personality. Her voice and sincerity can be heard in her writing. She is strong willed, down to earth, and transparent in her testimony penned here. Very highly recommend!

This is a beautiful story of a young woman gaining freedom from her redemptive Father. In this book, Jamie goes first. She opens the closet door and every skeleton falls out.
As I read this story, it was like band aids were being placed on old wounds. It's a different kind of "Me Too" story, but addresses the same shame game women have been forced to play for years.

Loved Jamie’s honestly and rawness! She tells the truth about her life knowing she’s been forgiven and redeemed, she’s tell it like it is and I’m in forever indebted to her for her realness, a book I really needed to read!

Jamie shoes an incredible amount of vulnerability in this book. She sets an example to the rest of us about what it looks like to live in the grace and knowledge of what Christ did for us on the cross. This books is absolutely worth your time! Jamie is funny, authentic, and encouraging.

Praise Jesus for Jamie’s vulnerability, and for exposing the fiercely unbreakable grace - the relentless grace - that we find at the alter. She is reminding women like myself, that Jesus’ love is bigger than our most scandalous failures and is better than the fleeting identities we try to cling to in our shame. This felt like the words that I’ve been forever waiting to read and have been dying to write to myself. Thank you Jamie.

This book was more than amazing, more than heartfelt, and just such a wonderful testimony to how God works in your life as long as you allow Him. The author, Jamie, is so transparent and open with the reader. The title of this book is spot on and it connected with my story so well. We all should be as transparent and vulnerable as Jamie. This book is an eye opener and it is beautiful. I most definitely recommend this book!

This is such a beautiful story of Jamie Ivey being brave and telling their life story, the good, the bad, and the ugly. She lets you into her life and is transparent about past/current struggles. Even if your struggles are not the same as her, it is such a wonderful story of Christ's love and grace for us all no matter the sins in our life. The book is sad, funny, and most of #truth! This is a must read for any woman!

This book is filled with stories about grace and forgiveness—toward others and toward ourselves. After reading it, I gave it to a friend to read but I kind of wish I would have kept it to read again. The whole time I was reading it, I would screen shot sections and send them to friends. It’s that good!

I absolutely loved this book and it’s message. Jamie creates a space for women to hear her story and realize it’s ok to admit sin and be vulnerable with one another. She lays it all out there for the reader in a relatable manner and helps you see that you are not alone. This book contains a strong gospel message and reminded me over and over what an amazing God we serve. “Jesus is better” and Jamie’s story proves it!

I absolutely adore Jamie’s podcast “The Happy Hour” and this book felt like another conversation with her, except this time I was the one in the chair across from her. I loved Jamie’s conversational tone throughout the book and her vulnerability which made it so easy to relate to. Every chapter she is pointing you, the reader, back to God and her story truly inspires.

Jamie portrays a real life; one pitted with failure, sadness, disappointment, and fear. Yet, complete redemption shines amongst her struggles with all the glory to God! Her voice is just as apparent in this book as it is on her podcast. I plan to recommend this book to every female I know.
