Lots of action from start to finish with plenty of suspense. It delves into Southwest Native American spiritualism and reveals it secrets ever so slowly and has a very thrilling ending. One of my favorite books.

This is a wonderful read, especially if you are fascinated by cliff dweller Indians. I really like how all of these books have a thread running through them that in some way connects them from book to book. Great adventure stories!

While I did not find this book exactly riviting, I would definitely recommend it--especially for the reader who is intrigued by the mysteries surrounding so many Native American societies. Thunderhead is fiction--but it's good fiction.

As I have said before, these two writers know how to tell a gripping tale. This one is a ripping yarn about the search for a lost Indian city in the American West by an intrepid band of scientists.
My only little gripe is that the title of the book did not seem right to me, though it does refer to an important feature of the story. I would have called the book by the name of the city they were searching for.

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child keep me coming back for more. They have never disappointed me with any of their books. Thunderhead is great however, Riptide remains my favorite. That being said, I'm going in for another Preston and Child's book.

Very good book overall. There are a few consecutive chapters semi early and then right in the middle that get pretty slow, but other than that it's a big time page turner. Very well written with lots of twists and turns.

It's kind of as if Michael Crichton wrote an Indiana Jones..

Only thing that makes me sad was the abrupt ending. The climax was the very last pages then it ended with an epilogue to tie up some early loose ends. I would have found it interesting if more of the aftermath was written about.

I have never read any of these authors works, I'm hoping they do more adventures just like this one.. Will definitely read more of their work.

I have liked Preston and Child books in the past. this one measures up to previous ones and If you have an interest in Native American novels this is a quick and interesting read. I found some of the story about the rich spoiled but really educated characters a litttle over the top

I found this story to be captivating and interesting. A good storyline and interesting characters made it difficult to put down.
I added the narrative and listened on a road trip, and kept me alert. Good book.

Exciting story from two exceptional authors. Excellent mystery joining the present and the past by weaving a modern search into ancient mysticism of the ancient cliff dwelling cultures in the Southwest.
