My daughter used to eat nothing but spaghetti, unless you count parmesan cheese, but I don't. This book allowed me to demonstrate the evilness of pasta (in general), and convince her that if she doesn't start liking foods other than spaghetti, it could take over her life and cause riots in our mountainside village.

Also, it's a classic from my childhood.

when my children were small this was a favorite story as we are of italian heitage. so this year we gave it to a good friend- 2 year old spencer- and he loves it, especially big anthony! we were lucky enough to see a live performance in a wonderful college theater with our grandchildren. unforgettable!

One of my daughters' favorite books as well as one of my favorite to read to them. Enjoy changing the words here and there to introduce them to more Italian than the few words already written in the book.
