HILARIOUS book!! I'm really curious what the differences are between the audio book and the printed book. There are places where he seems to deviate from the text, but maybe it's just portrayed that way. Anyway, I loved it from beginning to end.

I enjoyed reading this book. I have enjoyed Mr Hart ever since Tough crowd with colin Quinn.
The honesty about his first marriage could have been avoided, however that would not have shown his growth. Continue to rise.

Phenomenal book. Inspiring and hilarious! A page turner. I appreciate the honesty. Much like his comedy, Kevin hart paints a vivid picture of the humor in all of the challenges he has faced. His persistence is legendary! Anyone who enjoys comedy and an inspiring story should read this book. I rated this 5 stars because it is one of the funniest books I have read, but also because it had real content and honesty. The only thing that would have made this book better is to hear Kevin hart himself narrate!

It was funny, of course and I enjoyed reading it. It showed how hard Kevin worked before he made it big. I appreciated his work ethic and it also did had some good lessons, both positive and negative. I would recommend this book for a light read.

Kevin Hart’s unbelieveable journey from Nike salesman to internationally famous comedian is never dull. If you love Kevin now you will appreciate him more after knowing what roadblocks he had to endure on his road to success. Unbelieveable heartbreaking stories told in Kevin’s funny way of speaking. I hear the audio book is even better.

Kevin Hart is an inspiration! This book proves one can make it big in life despite a hard upbringing and alll the odds stacked against you. I felt moved by this book because I had similar self doubts as Kevin did when persuing my dreams. His hard work paid off and his troubled past only served to build him and make him a hard worker. I think anyone, even if not a fan of KH could benefit in someway from this read.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Kevin Hart through his book. I celebrate his transparency and I commend him on his strong wok ethic. Most importantly, I celebrate his mom and his love and respect for her. She taught him well.

This book is awesome! Kevin Hart's story is filled with life lessons we can all relate to and learn from. Kevin makes no excuses nor place blame on anyone but himself for all his shortcomings (pardon the pun..lol!!) and the situations he gets into. Once I started reading his book I couldn't put it down. I kept anticipating the next story he had to tell and how he got through it. Kevin went through quite bit of ups and downs to get to his current position in his life. He is a trooper and a very funny man. Please pick up or download his book. Great read!!

Awesome book and not for the reasons one might think. I brought the book looking for joke after joke. The book really isn't that. It does have some comedy in it but that isn't the purpose. The book is really an autobiography of Kevin Heart. He doesn't seem to hold anything back. The writing style is such that the book flies by. You get the sense you just had a long talk with him.
This book is really an American success story. It shows that the American system does work if you are willing to work hard and become better at your craft. You see Kevin start from nothing to a huge star. The book offers through his story points about how comedy works, the business of show business and some tales about what to watch out for. I found the book both interesting and inspiring. It made me more of a fan for him than before.

This book seems authentic. It was a mixture of funny and serious life lessons. Some parts seemed like too many details but most of it was right on point. It really makes the reader feel like a part of Kevin's world. I remain a big fan.

I love reading books by comedians but often am disappointed - this book does not disappoint. Its insightful, gives a view into Kevin's life and is the type of funny we've come to expect from Kevin Hart. Good read.

Loved every minute of this book. Hart does an awesome job of telling his story and clearly pointing out the tangible lessons attached to every story he tells. As someone pursuing a career in entertainment it was especially helpful with regards to laying a blueprint for building your brand from the ground up. I've been recommending this book to everyone

This is an awesome read. Kevin Hart shares very specific life lessons that made him the success that he is. He shares his failures and his ability to rise above them. He demonstrates a tremendous work ethic like no other. I’m glad I took the time to read this book, I will definitely try to incorporate some of his life lessons.

I would recommend this book for everyone especially for someone struggling to find their purpose in their life. Even though Kevin Hart is a comedian he is speaking from pain, experience and life and those are things you can’t make up! I’m glad he was able to turn his life around and get the right people in his life because we wouldn’t have seen how high he can soar and I don’t think he is even done yet!!

In addition to being funny, Kevin hart is insightful and has such a positive attitude. I loved this book and his take on life. He never blamed anyone but himself for some of the things that happened in his life and always used the experience to improve himself.

I would recommend this book as required reading in freshman year of high school. If you are out of high school, read and be open to making adjustments to your current pathway to make it a worthwhile journey.

WOW is the only word that can describe my reaction to Kevin Hart’s book. I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons is a GREAT book. Point...blank..period! My expectations were “oh this is going to be a funny book!” However, what I did not expect was a raw look inside Kevin Hart’s life. The book is exceptionally hilarious with jaw dropping “WTFs” throughout the book but the book is filled with enormous amount of profound wisdom.Nonetheless, I am proud that Kevin Hart at his level of success had the courage to write his truth and share his story with the world. If you are in a transitional period in your life where you feel defeated and want to give up on your dream, read this book. If you are friend, family member, girl/boyfriend, wife, or husband that is feeling like you can no longer support your loved one’s dream, read this book. Lastly, Kevin Hart’s book proves that everyone's life is full of good, bad, and brutally ugly circumstances and how we react to those circumstances shapes us as people; and in Kevin Hart's case his circumstances has undoubtedly shaped him into a funny, wise, and successful man! Again, GREAT book!

But this Kevin...awesome. Funny. Inspiring. Honest. Brutally Honest. Is there anything this man can't do? True example of what happens when you step into who you were meant to be. All type of greatness happens!

This book was a GREAT read! Who would think that such a funny person could be such a deep thinker about life, and is doing with his life what is his true PURPOSE for being placed on this earth. Hope others will enjoy as much as I did.

Quick, easy, fun read with life lessons as an added bonus. More people need to approach life the way Mr. Hart has, turning negatives into positives. His work ethic is inspirational. He wanted something out of life, worked hard to attain it, rarely feeling sorry for himself along the way. Extra kudos to his mom for keeping him in school, engaged after school, with doses of tough love when it was needed.

This is a surprisingly inspiring book. Yes, it was inspiring to read about how he overcame a challenging childhood to become the only comedian in history to sell out an NFL stadium, but it was also jam-packed with motivational passages for anyone who is working toward a dream.
I read it the whole time from the perspective of my sister and myself—we’re both published novelists. Also, because of my sister, I know more than the average nonperformer about the world of stand-up, sketch, and improv comedy and what it takes to make it in these careers. But I think if your goal is to move up the corporate ladder, become a chef, have more success in relationships—including the relationship with yourself—you’ll also find much to keep you going through difficult times.
There were some very funny bits to the book, which should surprise no one. I already knew some of Hart’s biography from his own stand-up specials and from reading an article in Rolling Stone magazine. To write this memoir, Hart had the help of Rolling Stone writer Neil Strauss, who is also the author of eight New York Times bestsellers.
The highlights of Hart’s making-it-big story began with him growing up in a rough neighborhood with a drug-addicted father who would literally steal from his own son (Hart’s older brother Kenneth). Hart’s brother briefly veered into selling street drugs before joining the Army and cleaning up his act. Hart’s mother was so strict that no matter what your issues with your mom might be, you should probably go ahead and forgive her right now.
It was fascinating hearing how hard he worked for so long and all the mistakes he made along the way. Persistence is how he ultimately made it. “It’s okay to fail, but it’s not okay to quit.”
As I mentioned, what made this book worth the money was all of the inspirational bits I took away from it. I could quote a million passages, but I leave you with this.
“Your dream is a huge boulder. It takes a lot of effort to get it moving. But if you can budge it just a few inches in the right terrain, then it starts picking up speed all by itself.”

Pleasantly surprised of how much content Kevin Hart put into this book. It is loaded with tidbits and nuggets for successful living. It's funny and serious all at the same time. I enjoy reading this book. I have highlights all throughout because of the great lessons he shared. It's a must read. Do not be intimidated by how thick the book is. It's a fun read so you won't want to put it down. Thanks Kevin Hart for putting the work in!

Great book filled with life lessons, reframing negative events, and experiences that enforced his habits towards failure then success! I read this book and two days. I wouldn’t have minded if he added a few more chapters.

This book is must read for anyone and everyone. Kevin Hart talks about his unwavering persistent to become a famous comedian, and his life from birth till now. It might be a very big book but is definitely worth reading from start to finish.

I love Kevin Hart as a comedian. However the story of his life is amazing. I have family members just as eclectic! His honesty about his life, his first marriage, his children, and his persistence to become a comedian thwarted all of the hateful rumors that the media reported about him. He doesn't proclaim to be perfect. It's evident that he is humbled by his experiences. God will always provide a blessing for him and his family. Great job Mr. Hart! Kudos!

This book is engaging, as well as poignant. He refers to another author helping him in it, which intrigues me. Regardless, a fun and personal look at the inside of comedy, and Kevin's rise to the top.

This book was hilarious! I enjoyed all the stories mentioning his father. His pops is a true character. Kevin also teaches you some things during the read like being humble, the importance of team work and no matter how many times you fall, don't sweat it just get back up! I love autobiographies and this one was worth every dollar.

I would imagine that talking to Kevin Hart would be like reading this book. It would be so easy and conversational that you would just want the conversation to continue as you do when you read a page-turner book. It was very entertaining and also contained some good life lessons. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Loved this book. It gives you a deeper better insight to kevin harts life. Like he says in his book, you can either let the bad stuff take you down a bad road, or you can turn the bad things in life into something positive/funny. Very inspiring book!! Highly recommended

Real-life , open, honest stories....sometimes happy, sometimes sad, but always infused with funniness! And, so many lessons about life, friendship, love and the lifelong pursuit of goals and dreams. Thanks for the laughs, Kevin Hart (formerly known as Li'l Kev the Bastard! -- by the way, that was a DUMB name to begin with! LOL :-) I
