I have been searching for something new to read when I found Tyed. It has everything a girl could want Blaire and Ty should work but they do. If you like opposites finding each other, you will really enjoy this book.

Quick summary: Blaire is an underachieving twin tasked to do an article in journalism that is way outside of her comfort zone. Her sister is a fictional Victoria’s Secret model and her best friend is a guy that secretly lusts after one, if not both of the sisters. Ty is an MMA fighter at the gym that Blaire has an in at and she wants to interview him because his input would be invaluable. Turns out that Ty is an ass but he wants to date her.
I have read two other books by this author, one that I loved, the other that was kind of meh, so I seem to have a hot/cold type of relationship. This one just didn’t do it for me. The heroine was incredibly annoying and immature, which is unfortunate because she started out really strong and easy to like, but by the end she was a completely different person. Ty, meh. I don’t feel strongly one way or another about him; he was just kind of there. The chemistry was lukewarm and a little PG-13. I had some issues with the story itself, for instance there was a conversation between Blaire and her BFF Shane about her sister in which Blaire says, “it’s her story to tell”, except it’s not. It’s the author’s and the complete story never is actually told.
There were undeveloped and unnecessary plot points (the involvement of Ty’s mom, the whole “Nicoles” thing, and Shane’s “girlfriend” Gemma) that derailed the story as a while. They were a distraction.
This may work for others; it just wasn’t my thing. Even though it is an NA read I would expect the characters to act a little more maturely but that isn’t the case. Even though I wasn’t a fan of Tyed, I’ll certainly pick up other works by this author.

So many writers, so many similar love stories. Leigh, your stories stand out. Sparrow, Tyed and Blood to Dust were absolutely amazing and so different from the norm. I totally recommend that all the readers out there read your work. LOVE ALL YOUR BOOKS

I almost cried finishing this book (and that doesn't happen a lot). Such a thriller! This book has it all - drama, romance, tears. I loved Ty and Blair- they are both amazing characters, very lovable. I only wish my English was better, so I would have the right words to describe all my thought and feeling about that book.
I really recommend it - it's a "wow" one for sure!

Whew! First of all, I love the characters of Blaire & Tyler individually & as a couple. There is a lot of character development - we learn a lot about Ty, even tho the story is told entirely in Blaire's POV. Loved the banter, loved the relationship Blaire has w/ her sister. Did NOT love the SOB portion & thought it went on for too long considering the length of 'chase' time earlier in the story. I'm happy there will be a 2nd book, however, & look forward to Shane & Izzie's story - and seeing more of Blaire & Ty. : )

Overall Opinion: I think this was one of those that I went into expecting greatness, and was sadly disappointed. I had huge issues with the pacing and time jumps. I like to experience the h and H developing feelings, and this had only a minimal amount of that. I ended up not feeling the connection that much because of it. I also would've really liked to have some of Ty's POV. I thought the h was overly judgemental at times to where I would find myself rolling my eyes. She also had such a strong loyalty to her friend (which I can usually appreciate), but at times I wanted her to wake the heck up and realize that he might have other intentions!! But on the other hand, I was confused by the whole thing with the friend too. What were his real intentions? I still don't know!!! The ending was also another issue for me. I hate how some authors are having the conflict being resolved pages from the end, and we are not given any time to see them as a healthy and healed couple!

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Blair and Ty's story. Blair is assigned her final for her journalism class to cover MMA, and she needs Ty for an interview. Ty is moving quickly up the ranks in the MMA world, and is the type of bad-boy that Blair knows she should avoid. They dance around their attraction, but finally Blair gives Ty a chance and they start dating. There are some sexy times, some friend drama, some big secret revealed...but they get a HFN ending.
POV: This was told in Blair's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Not so great. There were multiple time jumps that I felt like covered some of the development of feelings between the characters that we really needed. I never skimmed, but with these time jumps and the ending -- I thought it felt off on pacing.
Instalove: No. They take time to develop stronger feelings.
H rating: 3 stars. Ty. I liked him, but then I didn't like the way he lashed out when she finds out his secret.
h rating: 2 stars. Blair. She was a little too judgemental for my tastes, and wore blinders with her friend.
Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.
Heat level: Moderate/low. The scenes are just meh, and there aren't that many of them.
Descriptive sex: Yes.
Safe sex: Yes. Condoms are used, and there is a mention that condoms were always used in the past.
OW/OM drama: Yes
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: Yes
Closure: This had one of those endings where the conflict is resolved right before the end, so there isn't much time for closure. I would call it a HFN ending.
How I got it: It was part of my kindle unlimited subscription.

3.5 “Bmine” stars!
Blaire is in college getting a communications degree to appease her parents but she hates it. She gets assigned a journalism project about MMA and after doing some research, she is just as uninterested as before. The first time she meets Ty he rubs her the wrong way. Then when she has to interact with him again, she is thrown off kilter and doesn't know what to make of him. Ty is a bad boy that is gorgeous, strong, and demanding. He's also a fighter at The Grind, the XWL gym she is visiting to gather the info needed for her assignment. When she goes to interview Ty, he giver her an ultimatum - a date in exchange for an interview. When she agrees to the date, little does she know the affect it would have on her life.
I really enjoyed Blaire and Ty’s story. It’s funny and swoony with a little bit of angst and steam. I thought the storyline was well developed and the characters were entertaining. Blaire is smart, sexy, and feisty. She has a super model twin sister named Izzy, and though Ty will disagree, Blaire thinks she got the short end of the stick. She is sassy and her unique and quirky personality makes her likable and even relatable. I loved getting into her head and all the funny thoughts she had while trying to figure out her emotions.
"I’m so out of my depth here. The sport, the blood, the men…the Ty...
It looks like Brain and Hormones are in for a fight. Just as long as Heart stays out of the ring."
Ty is a total alpha who he shows his sweet side to Blaire. He is different with her than with anyone else and isn’t interested in a one-night stand he usually goes for. I loved that he was committed from the moment they met and that he was persistent even when she tried to deny her feelings. He is also straight to the point and says what he wants, especially when it comes to Blair.
Blaire and Ty are total opposites but they are really good together. The banter is great and the chemistry is electric. The sexual tension surrounds them, building until they can't avoid it any longer. I liked that they are open with each other about what they want and accepting of each other when they finally go all in.
“What are you doing to me, Blaire?...”
“I’m not sure, but you did it first to me.”
Things are going well until huge secrets are revealed that ruin everything. Pain and heartache follows and it was hard to swallow the truth. I understand the reactions to the whole situation but I felt that the way Blaire handled things was more dramatic than necessary. I totally take Ty’s side in this instance even though it was his secret to begin with. I also think it all wrapped up a little too easily too and I wanted to see them really discuss everything that happened after the blow up.
Overall, I enjoyed this fighter romance and can’t wait to read more from this author!

After reading other books by this author and having some time off I realized Tyed had been sitting on my Kindle unread and had to dive in. It's hard to believe that Tyed was this author's debut novel. I was blown away by her writing and absolutely loved this book.
Tyler "Zombie" Wilder. Gah. I loved him from the first moment he sauntered across the parking lot in his skull bandana and grey sweats. Sexy, alpha, broody, and hot as Hades Ty commands Blaire's attention from their first meeting.
The only thing standing between Blaire and graduation is her last journalism class. When her final assignment forces her out of her normal routine she meets Tyler and sparks fly. I loved how both Blaire and Tyler took each other by surprise and pushed the other out of their comfort zones. Ty's smart mouth and Blaire's witty comebacks had me laughing out loud.
The characters were fantastic and quickly dragged me into their world. The author's amazing ability to connect me as a reader with her characters had me right along for their journey. I laughed out loud, got angry, wanted to reach through my Kindle and knock some sense into them and was left with the goofiest grin on my face in the end. Tyed is one of those amazing reads that sweeps you away and has you torn between devouring it as quickly as you can and slowing down because you don't want it to end. Another phenomenal read this author and I hope to revisit the XWL world very soon!

Tyed had an unexpected sweeter side, but also that conflict that I always like.
Going into this, and after reading some friends' reviews, I knew not the expect something on a Vicious caliber—this was the author's debut novel, after all.
And while I saw the huge growth in the writing from binging on this author’s work this weekend, I still enjoyed the voice that carries through all her stories.
Her heroes always have substance, and are passionate about what they do in life. Ty was a little over the top for me at first. He came off more cocky than as a jerk like Vicious and Troy. And I found it hard to like him (I know, I know. He’s not even close to the same level as her other heroes, but I personally have something against cocky.)
Ty really grew on me, though. He had a sweeter side that I wasn’t expecting, and it really was refreshing.
I just felt their relationship was a little superficial. It wasn’t developed as strongly as her later books, and I was dying for some more interaction between them. The sexy times were a lot tamer, not that I always have to have super hot times, but this time without their interactions and without strong intimate times, there was just a lot missing for me to connect with them.
I liked the angst—it was still really well done. But I didn’t like how the heroine reacted to it.
SPOILER BELOW:

Troy was a prostitute to help him pay for his training and get him up in the MMA world. I didn’t understand the heroine’s reaction, and maybe the hero’s past just didn’t bother me that much, but I still couldn’t see why she’d react the way she did.
Overall, I never grew bored reading Tyed. The conflict and the angst was all done perfectly. I didn’t love this story, but seeing how her books have progressed, I’m still a major fan and will be following her Sinners of Saint Series like a crazed fan.
