I love the spin off of Violent Delights. Elena has been an escort for 4 years and is ready to move on. She is asked to join a new endeavour, the Velvet Room. A high school call girl, an unsatisfied CEO, two people who are broken. This book was well written and has great characters that will keep you turning the pages. Damon and Elena take us through a steamy passionate romance.

This captivating story is fantastic beginning of the new series "Velvet Rooms". Amazing plot, exciting characters and great writing make this book a must-read. I couldn't put it down, this story grabbed me from the first page. Such a page-turner!

Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

I really enjoyed this novel about two damaged souls who find one another. The characters were so well represented that you could feel their anguish and confusion. I received this book as a gift and look forward to reading more by this author.

Linnea writes this dark story of domination and submission but with underlying feelings. Damon is a troubled dominant and Elene is his sub who was trying to end her call girl career. Can two troubled souls come together to save each other?

This is a beautiful, romantic story that grabs a hold on you and does not let go.

This author sure knows how to write dark romances that leave you on edge until the very end. I have not found one book I do not like. This is just another amazing dark book that draws you in and is very intense.

This is a well written book with an interesting story line. The characters are strong and the story flows smoothly. Elene and Damon have a hot chemistry and I loved watching their relationship evolve. I enjoyed reading their story.

I really enjoyed following Elene and Damon's story. Both are able to step away from their insecurities to build a hot romance with lots of sexy action. Lots of Great read with lots of passion and just a little angst. I thoroughly enjoyed this read... can't wait for the next installment.

Black Velvet is a wonderful dark romance by Linnea May. It was along the same lines of her other series. It was very good and so worth the read. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.

Damon & Elene's story will keep you turning the pages. Their chemistry provides seductive encounters that ultimately lead to questions about wanting more beyond the Velvet Room.

What a beautiful story, something about Elene’s innocence that roped the reader into the story. Strong character with a gentle dignity, knew exactly what she wanted and was I’m afraid to go after it.
Damon was the unattainable to her, with him the lines were not black or white but rather grey. Her mind says there is no way he could feel the same way towards her as she feels towards him.
As the story unfolds, they both open up emotionally towards each other, not knowing where it will lead them both.

Black Velvet, by Linnea May, was a deliciously wicked dark romance. I found the storyline brilliantly written along with perfectly "broken" individuals that paths cross and inexplicably are destined to overlap. The stage for this story was superbly done.

Love Linnea May’s books and always enjoy spending time with her books. Although the premise for the book held promise I felt this one just didn’t have that wow factor. The characters were interestingly developed yet I found myself not being drawn into their struggles and desires...something just seemed to be missing.
Still worth the read!

This book held my interest from the first page. I was anxious to see what happened all through the book. It was intriguing to see how the characters interacted at a slow pace. I loved the characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this type of reading.

I loved Damon and Elene their chemistry was of the charts. There is a vulnerability with both of them.

Definitely hot. Full of sensual scenes and things really start to pick up in the story when they finally get what they’ve been waiting for from one another. Is sandi up next?? Haha im curious about his man of hers that has nothing to do with the club
