Twists, zigs and zags. You will never see it coming, you get drawn in and start to care about people that if you saw them you would cross to the other side of the street. Marvin is not there to seduce you but nice to see the cop from Bergan County.

This is another good (not great) book by Harlan Coben. If you're looking for a Pulitzer, go find another read. If you're looking for a suspenseful book that helps you relax after a long stressful day, give this one a try.

This was a very good Harlan Coben story. I bought it thinking it was a Myron Bolitar mystery and was disappointed it was not at first but then I got sucked into the story and did not miss Myron as much as I thought I would!

Coben does his usual twisting and turning of his plot line keeping the reader quessing till the end of the book. He paints the characters with a fine brush that the reader begins to feel that you know them intimately. Then I think I have a clue where the plot is going and who is mainly responsible and then suddenly I am startled by an unexpected turn in the plot. This makes the best mystery writer, who can keep you in suspence to the end of the book. Some of Cobin's books I like better than others but I am delighted to read all of them.

Harlan Corbin is amazing, he has an outstanding understanding of so many types of people's thought process regardless of gender. His ability to understand different life styles Makes for amazing books.

I absolutely love Harlan Coben books but I was very disappointed in this one compared to his others. It was unoriginal and sometimes I felt a little bored by it. I am usually unable to put one of his books down but with this I just lost interest. His characters lacked personality and I missed the wit he uses in his other books. It would never turn me off reading his books again as he is still my all time favourite author and I loved all of his others.

This book was gripping. It held me in suspense until the very end. Somehow all of the characters come together. Detective Broome was somewhat typical but that just made him more real. I loved the book.

This book was a big disappointment. I have loved all of Coben's books until I got to this one. No humor like in past books or characters that were also in his past books
Just another standard mystery!

Scrumptious suspense by a master in the genre; bang for your buck; rarely do books manage to provoke an adrenaline flow or goose bumps, yet in this case the exception confirms the rule. I dare any author to tackle the world we enter in "Stay Close"...that alone makes this one special, heck, how many among us, his readers, actually did visit a seedy titty bar? I thought so. A pity there are only 21 titles so far -I have 2 now- because that means I will have to be a very disciplined and determined customer in order not to burn through the whole list in the coming 2 months.

This is my 4th novel from this author (Hold Tight being my favorite). What I love about this author is the extraordinary circumstances the ordinary people find themselves in and the authors lucid descriptions of their internal struggles and thoughts about their lives. Too many authors write extraordinary stories that feel utterly unrealistic. Not Coben. All the characters were fantastic and felt real, the story was fluid yet in focus, the subject matter was exciting without coming unrealistic. I'm a very slow reader but the final 100 pages were so enthralling I couldn't put it down. Now I'm looking forward to my 5th novel from this amazing author (Six Years).

I really enjoyed this book. I never was sure, minute by minute, which direction the story line was going to follow. It was a very satisfying book and i had real empathy for some of the worst characters. I highly recommend it to all Harlan Coben fans as well as anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery.
