I love romance books of any kind. My favorite thing about this book is that while it is a romance book it has a twist that I haven't read before. It captivated me from the beginning. I can't wait to find out what happens next. This book does has a cliffhanger but the next books are available.

Never thought the story about State Senator and Reporter can be so sexy. Love the story from the beginning to 99.5%. The 0.5% really broke my heart. I understood the choice Liz made was selfless but I always hoped they would be together. The ending just hurt to read.

I received a copy from the store Publishing in exchange for my review.
I wasn’t so sure how K.A. Linde would top her Avoiding Series. I mean let’s face it, in the literary world Jack and Lexi up against the wall has iconic status.
But then, I read OFF THE RECORD. This was a fantastic page turner. I’m talking I couldn’t stop thinking about it and wanted to talk about it as soon as I finished the last word. I remember messaging K.A. and telling her how amazing this book was, how great the characters were but the story itself really resonated with me. It wasn’t the politics—cuz goodness knows that has never been a wow subject for me. But I will say it was a great platform for the basis of the story because politics is all about the prize, the career, the status.
The chemistry between characters was undoubtedly certain and definite. There wasn’t a single character that was out of place or just there. Each and every single one, you wanted to read more about, get more story, just get more! And for me, there wasn’t one character you could hate. Yes there was one or two that weren’t exactly nice but the bottom line is they were driven, had their eye on the prize—being a top dog in politics.
The characters—beautiful, hardworking, willing, ambitious, vulnerable and ultimately unselfish.
Brady was incredibly charismatic, confident and had a sex appeal that you couldn’t be but drawn to him. K.A. Linde did an amazing job of creating his character without being so stereotypically/cliché obvious. He didn’t dawn any tattoos, he wasn’t a rockstar god, K.A. didn’t rely on his bedroom prowess or the size of his dick to make him this gush worthy man. What she portrayed of Brady Maxwell was a strong, confident man. One who took his job seriously, who thought about his actions, who was mindful of others without forgetting who he was.
Liz Dougherty was a great character because she had this strength to her that wasn’t always out there for you to see. She also understood the world she was in—politics. She understood the compromises, the sacrifices. And throughout the story you could see her beauty but again it wasn’t something the Linde focused on or doted on. You could just feel it from the words on the page.
This was one of the few books where I wanted more of the secondary characters. I might not even be opposed to lowering myself to beg for more of them. And again what made me love them was the overall theme in this story of drive and ambition—setting your sights on something and not letting your heart steer you away from the finish line.
K.A. Linde is like the matriarch of breaking hearts and showing us love that seems can never be, will somehow flourish, grow, seep into and then bleed out. Off The Record did this and so much more.
I’ve always been a Ramsey girl but I’ll give it all up to have Brady as president.

I really like all the characters and choices that surround this story. Very well written you can feel the pull each character goes through. Both Brady and Liz love each other I kept waiting for it to end. I am really excited about the next book and their long journey. I Hope they make it.

Gosh this whole thing just sucked! I should've just stuck with the book about Clayton but this left such a bad taste in my mouth that I'm no longer tempted to even read that. The girl in this book is the dumbest and weakest protagonist I've ever read. Goodness! And the connection between her and Brady was so weak. There was no spark, no wooing--nothing! Her and the other guy were so very annoying and unnecessary. And for a girl who claimed she loved she sure seems torn between him and a guy who she supposedly feels nothing for than goes on to date apparently in the second installment. Brady is totally two dimensional and by the end of he book I hated the both of them. On top of everything the extra characters, for example, her friend Victoria, omg why is she even necessary? I'm all for being sexual and all but this girls just there so the main character (gosh I can't even remember her name) to slut shame. But then again that's all Victoria was portrayed as. And this book was slow! Sooo, sooo very freaking slow! It took an eternity for anything to happen and when it did it was very underwhelming. I wish I could get a refund! This book sucked ass!! BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BS! (Unless you like to waste your money and time and become angry and frustrated)

This author seriously knows what she is doing!! I love the Avoiding series, an when book 2 ha a little snippet of an upcoming series, I knew I had to try it out.. I have been waiting for Off the Record for what feels like forever, and it was well worth the wait!!
Brady Maxwell was worth the wait!
The attraction between Liz and Brady was HOTTTTTTT.. I mean pretty much an understatement there.
I really loved how Liz didn't back down from her opinions of Brady reporter wise, just because he showed an interest in her, she EVOLVED in her opinions of him which I think says so much more about her and him as a Senator as well.
I liked the "forbidden" romance aspect of the whole thing, in reality these themes sometimes don't play out, or one side gives in and allows the relationship to work, but in Off the Record you can see even if you can't understand that a public relationship for these two is not totally possible I wanted them to find a way to be together, I really did and of course knowing that this is a series we will have to find out what happens next. I found Liz's decision in the end to make sense.
*spoiler*
I wasn't feeling the whole Hayden thing, I think he proved to be a great friend and colleague for Liz, but I wasn't holding out hope for them to get together or anything.
I cannot wait to read more Brady

I absolutely love "Off the Record" by K.A. Linde. The book was definitely different than most of the books out there in this genre that have basically the same story line. This story went above and beyond my expectations!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!

I purchased this book after trying a sample read. I was so afraid it was going to be another 50 shades but after reading other reviews I gave it a try and I'm glad I did! It's nothing like 50 Shades! It was well written and I fell in love with Liz. I have recommended this series to quite a few friends who like me were tired of reading other books that resembled the above said book and we're looking for something in this genre a bit different. I gave it five stars because you don't feel like you're reading a knockoff of 50 Shades of Grey and it's a nice change.

Where do I even begin? Talk about book hangover!!! I've been waiting for this book for almost a year already, from the time I read the first teaser I knew I was going to love this book, and let me tell you I still haven't been able to gather all my thoughts. I started this book and I couldn't put it down, Brady Maxwell (swoon) caught my attention from the first word that came out of this mouth! Ah and I really loved Liz, she wasn't your typical let me slap this girl because she is acting stupid. I could relate to her a lot and I knew exactly how she was feeling in certain parts of the book. The chemistry between Brady and Liz was HOT, like I got HOT myself! hmmmmm. This author did a great job with this book. I want more and August seems very far away! The last chapter got me, I cried like a little baby, I got emotional, and before you get scared and think it's a bad ending, it's not but I just felt the pain and I felt so bad because it must be a very hard situation to be in. I really hope we get a HEA because I don't think my heart can take a heartbreak! Ahhhhhh I'm in love with Brady Maxwell, I want to keep him all to myself!!! Make sure you read this book, it won't disappoint!!!

K.A. Linde thank you yet again for another amazing series. I couldn't put my kindle down until I finished the book. I can't wait for book number two. As I'm sitting here with my mind spinning wondering how you are going to slowly kill me with the next book. You are an amazing writer with a true gift. Brady has my vote!

KA Linde does it again! I found myself hooked right away and couldn't put it down until the end. I like that she never makes things easy, because in life, no relationship is perfect and there is always twists and turns and hiccups - and she portrays that well in this book.
After reading the Avoiding Committment series, I knew I had to start this one as well. I love her writing style and her story lines. And I love how she made me fall in love with Brady Maxwell!

Fun, sexy read. This is an amazing "get your motor running" book. Andrew is a foul mouth attorney with a specific dating life. All hell breaks loose when he discovers his close friend is not who she claims to be.

This was a good read but definitely not my favorite by K.A. Linde. I was left wanting so much more than was delivered. The storyline has great potential though, and I expect nothing but excellence in the next book!

K.A. Linde never disappoints! This book was a page turner right from the beginning. I fell in love with Brady Maxwell and love their story! Dying for the next book in the series since it ended on a cliffhanger.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story until the very end and August just seems too far away to see what happens next. Wish i hadn't read this one so soon. Found myself frustrated and depressed at the end wanting to know how it all turns out!
The story is at times unbelievable because we all know politicians get away with more than anyone else. However, she tells the story well and it is easy to go along with the direction in which she's going.
All in all, good, fun read with great romance and characters. Can't wait until August!

Even though many of my the store reviews are 5 star, I only give 5 stars when I really fall for a book (I read over 100 books a year). He's a young rising politician from a political family. She's a college student working the college paper on the campaign trail. Their involvement could destroy both of their careers especially since she's not too fond of his politics and lets anyone reading know. Things only get more complicated as she starts to see the man and not just the politician, and he starts to see his match. But she's only a college junior and he's a rising political star with hopes to one day take over as Commander-in-Chief. He's changed her and she's left a mark on him. Where will they go from here?
Book one in the series focuses on their initial meeting and how they hide their relationship as Senator Maxwell focuses on primary elections for the House. During this time, the previously driven young budding reporter starts to grow as a person. That growth continues as she battles within herself over her feelings about falling in love and keeping their relationship a secret. She finally makes a decision just as it seems he is. We have to wait for book two before those decisions are confirmed, and we can see the aftermath.

Fun book for the beach! Actually, bought the book because the author is a UGA grad! Was not disappointed!
The heroine was a bit young, but I am reading light and had very little expectations. Read this. It was fun and well developed--so much better than most of the "female directed" books out there.

Liz is a college student working for her schools newspaper. All of her life her main goal has been to become a reporter and make a name for herself.
Brady was born and bred for politics. It's all he knows and all he wants.
An assignment for the schools paper leads her to cover a Brady Maxwell III news conference. When the two meet their lives will never be the same.
Liz is a very strong, stubborn, bold woman who is definitely not afraid to speak her mind.
Brady is very smooth and demanding with his chocolate colored eyes and beautiful dimples.
The chemistry is there but he is in the middle of a campaign and she is a college student whose job is to follow his campaign.
Will either one sacrifice their careers for each other or will being a secret be enough?
I loved this easy flowing story. I love Ms. Lindes writing style and how she can make me feel every emotion she writes about.
The banter between Liz and Brady is hilarious at times and the sex is HAWT!!!! Liz's roommate Victoria was one of my favorite characters - she is edgy and hilarious. Hayden who is Liz's boss is very warm and caring. Almost all of the characters are extremely lovable and I found them easy to relate to. You will definitely want the next book but this does not end in a cliff hanger!
