Romantic comedy ... although that is definitely not how the story begins.. I loved the competition between Daisy and Lucas .. Daisy is hilarious at times .. and Lucas is just a sexy doctor we would all live to have as our GP .. I was hoping for some jealousy with other people in the picture but unfortunately these 2 only had each other's throats on their minds .. the story was well written and flowed so well it was a quick read for me ..

*minor spoilers* I love this author. I especially loved Scoring Wilder, A Place in the Sun, and Behind His Lens. This book was disappointing in comparison. Daisy feels far from the character we are meant to believe -- former recipient of a full ride to Duke, graduated top of her medical school class, chief resident, etc... She seems so petty and childish, and though I understand that was meant to be part of her character development, it was to the point of being annoying and I almost gave up reading right before the climax. Then the climax felt a bit slapstick. Lucas is a far more sympathetic character but I sometimes have trouble with the idea of someone meeting the love of their life at age 10 and knowing it. Also, the setup in which the protagonists have to endure each other's company for 24 hours felt contrived, even if suitable hotness ensued. I'll definitely try again with R.S. Grey but this wasn't, for me, her best work. Better character development and plot, please.

This book was a wonderful mix romance and comedy. The chemistry between Lucas and Daisy was palpable and so entertaining. Their constant bickering and competition was hilarious but it was wrapped up so nicely as it becomes more. Loved it!

I liked Lucas. He was funny, loving, attractive and a loyal friend, even when he maybe shouldn't have been as it wasn't appreciated.

Not so much about Daisy. She was immature and I wanted to slap her more than once in the book, so wanting her to get her happily ever after was a little difficult in a couple of places.

This was an enemies to lovers story and you pretty clearly see that the animosity is from her side and not really from his. There is a chemistry and an attraction between the 2 of them, and she is the last to know. They show it by fighting with one another, in creative and diabolical ways.

The book was well written and the characters were consistent, even though I didn't really like her.

My issue was the antics were high school. And these 2 are doctors. Not med students, or college students, but doctors going into private practice, and not getting along and being professional could cost them their practice. And, that is where it stopped working well for me, as I just didn't believe 2 people would act as they did, with this much to lose.

The chemistry and the attraction between them was real, it was hot, and it was enjoyable.

I recommend this book, but with a couple of reservations.

Daisy and Lucas have been sworn competitors against each other for as long as Daisy can remember. After becoming a doctor and returning to her hometown to find her nemesis has as well is a real eye opening experience for Daisy. She has harbored her "hate" for so long that she cannot even see how her "hate" is the exact opposite. Lucas is feisty, yet sweet. Daisy is determined, yet confused. Throw in some entertaining, laughable dialogue and you have a 5.0 star comedy of enemies to doctors to lovers. I would recommend this book

26 annoying chapters, plus epilogue.
I just came across this author, When Arrogant devil , her newest release popped up in my recommended for you list on the store. I am actually scared to read it, after suffering through this. I will try though, hopefully her writing has improved.

Epilogue: No, not the bride and groom.
This book is a HUGE HE$$ NO....
I would not recommend it.
The characters sucked so bad. They will have you wishing they was real just so you can slap them! Seriously.
So annoying, and very immature.
This is why I do not like comedy romance.
A lot of comedy romance, their isn't no character growth, and they try to make it so funny, it turns out so immature.
This is one of those, There is absolutely no character growth. Immature characters, sounds like they belong in middle school, not working as doctors.
And the epilogue, the fact I suffered through this book, to have a crappy epilogue, still no character growth, heroine and hero talks of their future plane. Get Out of Here. I will try to read Arrogant Devil, If it is any thing like this. I will not read any more from this author.
We're here for my mom and Dr. McCormick. The two lovebirds are getting hitched. I'm maid of honor, Lucas is the best man.
For now, I'm happy to be standing off to the side, out of the spotlight. When Lucas and I get married, I want it to be small and intimate, maybe just the two of us.

When we get married let's do it on a beach or something so our guests have something pretty to look at while they're ignoring vows.
"Yeah," he agrees. "Or we could just do it in a movie theater?"

I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book.

I came in to this book expecting some laughs, some romance and hopefully a happy ever after. I'd say the book delivered for the most part but it fell a little flat in some spots for me.

I wasn't a huge fan of Daisy-it took me forever to warm up to her. I spent most of the book trying not to groan out loud at how she was behaving. She's a doctor but her antics went right back to junior high level when dealing with Lucas initially. While there was a bit of humor in some of the antics at first, I wound up wishing she'd grow up a little quicker.

Lucas made me smile. He pushed Daisy, but not in a way that she was used to. I appreciated that; he wasn't quite what she expected him to be and she didn't quite know how to handle him-but he definitely knew how to handle her. There were two parts where I literally grinned and sighed over Lucas' actions, but I'll let you find those spots for yourself.

Overall, the book was ok. Daisy, to me, grows up and redeems herself in a way that had me smiling and kind of swooning. Yep, swooning over the heroine's actions-not my usual thing, but definitely called for in this book. This was a quick read and if you can get past some of the juvenile pranks I think you'll enjoy it.

Looks like I’m gonna have the unpopular opinion about this book. Seriously you should know by now that I am all about hate-to-love stories but this? was dumb.

There you have it. Immediately I knew off the bat I wasn’t going to like this story. The main character drove me nuts!

Dasiy has hated Lucas for as long as she can remember, hers and his parents were already planning their wedding when they were kids. They challenged each other and competed for the first spot, always.

Yet you’d think that after YEARS of being separated and going off to school and becoming a doctor would help someone grow up and mature. Nope, from the moment I read about her hatred, I was annoyed and felt like she acted like a 12 yr old brat having a fit over something so stupid.

Lucas, on the other hand, took it and gave back to her challenges for what the author tried to make it seem was a healthy dose of hatred too? yeah didn’t work out, I had it all figured out from the beginning. Something was off, something wasn’t right and I was proven right which only disappointed me even more about the story.

I really liked Lucas, he seemed like a typical fun guy who wasn’t really competing like Daisy in her ridiculous mind always was. He was fun, good humored and a lot more mature than Daisy was.

Then there was the hate sex. So stupid, I hated it. I hate, hate sex. To me it proves nothing. Yes, they are attracted physically but dude, seriously?

I didn’t like the writing and felt this book was just about the sex which is something I’m not into. I had hopes for this, it had a great premise but the execution sucked for me.

Overall I didn’t like it, I finished it and I liked Lucas but that was about it. Daisy as a character destroyed the book for me and the writing wasn’t that great.

Disappointed. This was not what I was hoping for. I read the follow up book "The Foxe and the Hound" before this book and I really liked it. So when I decided to read this book I thought I would get more of the same feel good reading I got with "The Foxe and the Hound". I was mistaken.

Where in the other book it had the heroine being sweet and thoughtful and endearing this book had the leading lady being selfish, self centered, juvenile, ridiculous, annoying, and lacking any redeeming qualities I could see. Even the leading lady's mother I found grating, cringe worthy, overbearing, inappropriate, and disloyal to her own daughter. Not even with the ending being tied up in a "Happy Ever After" bow it couldn't make me like many of the characters, especially the leading lady, Daisy Bell. Even the leading man was lacking in character and was just as juvenile.

The writer told a story well and really had me visualizing what was going on and I do still plan to read more of her work because I do enjoy her vivid writing style. I just couldn't fall for this train wreck of characters the way so many other readers did. I read the reviews of other readers before reading this book, and there were many positive reviews, and that is what inspired me to read this book. Sadly I just didn't feel the same.

While I'll be recommending "The Foxe and the Hound" to my family and friends I will not be suggesting they read "Anything You Can Do". Cause ugly they can find on the evening news and do not need to read about it on their down time in a book. Cause Daisy Bell was an ugly pitiful soul.

3.75 stars — After listening to and LOVING The Foxe and the Hound, which is sort of a sequel to this book in that it follows Lucas’s sister (and Daisy’s best friend) Madeleine, I just couldn’t help myself and NEEDED to hear Lucas and Daisy’s story…even if I was a bit wary.

Can I just start off and say that the existence of two narrators is a bit misleading? I thought this would be a dual POV story, and it really wasn’t. When I was 9 chapters in and still hadn’t had a Lucas chapter, I was starting to get confused. Lucas doesn’t really have a POV in this story. He gets maybe 3 mini chapters which are just unsent emails from him, and I ADORED them (and actually really loved Joshua Kumler’s narration, will be looking for more from him), but I would have enjoyed even more from his perspective. It was like a tease. ? So essentially, look at this story as a single POV and avoid getting disappointed if you’re a dual fan (as I am). That being said, I thought Ms. Roelle’s narration was pretty fantastic. I loved the different voices she did for different characters, I couldn’t believe how unique she made them. Honestly, the only part where I was less than enthusiastic was occasionally when Daisy got a bit crazy and it got crazy even in the narration…this was totally purposeful, and I get it. But it made scenes where I was already cringing because of the antics even more cringeworthy…like double the cringe. That being said, I won’t hesitate to check out more books narrated by Kimberly Roelle!

So this is a MEGA enemies to lovers story, and if I’m being perfectly honest, that’s not my favourite trope. I think the problem for me is that often times for people to be honest to goodness enemies, it usually involves characters behaving badly…it just kind of goes hand in hand. And that always makes me cringe. Not always, mind you, but it is a common theme. I just have way too much sympathetic embarrassment, and so it takes a special book to win over my heart. This book almost didn’t. Daisy is…hard to like sometimes. She is just as neurotic as so many of Ms. Grey’s heroines, but in her case it’s wrapped up in hatred and competition and I just had a hard time sympathizing with her, you know? The funny thing is, the part that made my opinion turn the corner was in the fact that Daisy’s behavior didn’t get excused away. She didn’t get let off the hook. It wasn’t a case of “oh, well, Lucas did this…” Daisy truly feels the effects of her blindness. I really appreciated that. I wouldn’t have minded a bit more of an understanding of why she was so blind…was it being raised in a single parent family? Or just a quirk of her personality? But I was still really happy with the way the book turned that final corner and wrapped up.

Lucas also helped to really sell the story for me. I think if I’d had more of his POV, I wouldn’t have struggled so much. I had inklings of what was going on with him, but each email chapter scrap I devoured eagerly. My heart just ached for him and his hidden affections. And again, while it was mostly blind Daisy, I appreciated that Lucas got a bit of flak for not speaking up. But OMG, those videos. I freaking CRIED you guys.

The story was rounded out with some pretty solid chemistry (even as it took forever to get there, and I kept worrying about Daisy ruining it), some hilarious moments, and great secondary characters. Not my fave read by Ms. Grey, but a lot of that is due to my taste in trope. But the winning moments made me grin hard enough to make all the cringing worth it.

Hmm, let me see. *popping bubblegum*

First of all, I want to tell you how much I love R.S. Grey’s book. Okay, I’ve not read all of them, but I can easily say she’s one of my favorite authors. I’m always captivated by her books from the very first moment and I just can’t put them down.
The other thing is, I’m a goner when it comes to enemies-to-lovers books. They’re my weakness.

I thought this book was written for me.

But.

The thing is, I’m disappointed. Not by the humor, or not by Rachel’s amazing writing style but by other things. Namely the heroine. I didn’t see her coming. And it’s not in the positive way. I wanted to grab her and tell her she’s so damn stupid.

Yes, Daisy was childish. She was so obsessed with her competition she didn’t see the real things. But it only took a kiss, and she finally saw that Lucas is the jackpot. It just couldn’t deal with it, sorry.
But I loved Lucas, he was a a cool, totally normal guy.

Sorry, but it was a big disappointment.

I got this book in a book subscription that while I didn't like the contents of (so I ended up not posting a unboxing) I decided to read the book. Anything You Can Do is pretty much a stereo typical Romantic Comedy and that is absolutely not a bad thing. I went into this expecting some fun and that is exactly what I got and also what I needed. I've learned that sometimes I don’t always need the book to surprise me or have some plot twists that leaves me gasping in surprise.

The two romantic protagonists are Daisy, the main narrator of the book. She is of course the skinny, blonde, young doctor who is a big immature. We tend have her competitor and childhood rival Lucas who is of course the most hottest main in Hawthorne, who is also a doctor and has abs that can grate cheese. While I did enjoy the sexual tension and the hot scenes between Daisy and Lucas, Daisy's constant competiveness and overall oblivious of her feelings were annoying.

When Lucas finally confronted her on this I almost cheered out loud! The ending pretty much was what I thought it would be and I am actually pretty glad about that. Sometimes you need a happy ending, no unanswered questions, no waiting for the sequel. Just an ending.

This was painful and made me cringe. I was actually embarrassed by Daisy's behaviour. This girl was a doctor but too spoilt and thick to see that the hero was in love with her since childhood. I would bleed to death before I let that screeching harpy touch me.
Didn't even make it to the middle of this book. Story should have taken place in middle school.

Anything You Can Do is a lovable romance you want to hug close and never let go. Fans of author Julie James must pick up this latest by R.S. Grey because the main couple will remind you of the heroine and heroine in a James’ novel. This is a reunion of sorts for the heroine and heroine, who act like they despise one another. Their “hate” is manufactured because as it’s revealed, one half has always loved the other half, so much so they came back home to prove their worth in order to claim the heart of the one they have adored since they were children.

Daisy is a doctor who returns to her hometown to work at a practice with the long time town doctor in the hopes she’ll take over the practice when he retires. What she doesn’t know is that her mortal enemy Lucas, who is also a doctor has been given a job at the same practice. Daisy HATES Lucas because as children he always annoyed her and tried to one up her every chance he could get. They snipe and snark at one another, trading insults. Daisy is going to take him down once and for all. What she doesn’t know is that Lucas has been in love with her forever. He loves to dig at her and tease her to the point she’s ready to explode, but to him it’s like tugging on her pigtails or chasing after her in the schoolyard. He enjoys the banter to a point but he’s waited too long to make his move. He even went to a different college in order to give her space. But now he’s done playing games, and he’s out to win the heart of fair Daisy.

Everyone in town knows Daisy and Lucas are enemies, but now as adults things have changed. Daisy still can’t stand Lucas, but slowly she begins to see him differently. And then one night when they are forced into quarantine together because of a contagious patient, her secret attraction for Lucas bubbling below the surface rises up. These two adversaries can’t keep their hands or their mouths off of one another.

Anything You Can Do is a romantic comedy that will have you in stitches because of the main couple and their antics. Lucas is a doll who is willing to sacrifice so much to make Daisy happy. Talk about a gentleman, with the exception of their bedroom fun. Steamy and hot lovemaking for these two! The joy in reading is for Daisy and Lucas’s teasing and bantering, which is wonderfully written. I had a smile the entire time I read, and you will too.

Anything You Can Do hits a homerun in the romantic comedy department. A must read!

I don’t commonly find people describing their hometown as their old battlefield, but that’s definitely the case for Daisy Bell in R.S. Grey’s latest release, Anything You Can Do, and it’s exactly why she hasn’t spent any significant time in Hamilton in the past 11 years. But that all changes when she’s presented with an opportunity to return home and take over McCormick Family Practice as the town’s doctor, proving once and for all that Daisy Bell has always and will always come out on top when it comes to competing with her childhood nemesis, Lucas Thatcher. Too bad she’s in for a rude awakening when the bane of her existence joins the practice as well as its second doctor.
There’s not a more perfect title for Daisy and Lucas’ story than Anything You Can Do; it epitomizes the competitiveness at play in their long standing rivalry, and it speaks to each of their missions to outperform, outwit, and out succeed the other, and even though the playing field is now at a professional level, childish antics and devious tricks are still a part of their battle plans regardless of the repercussions of such acts in terms of their careers.

Daisy is such an intriguing character because I truly believe she protests too much when it comes to her disdain for Lucas. She’s obsessed with proving she’s better than him; in fact, that is her primary motivation for everything, and because readers are privy to her views on their history, it’s easy to form opinions about why she acts the way she does and what that means for her true feelings for her next door neighbor.

Daisy’s hatred for Lucas is so blatant that onlookers of their crazy rivalry don’t know how to take their complicated relationship, but as a reader looking in, it’s clear that Daisy and Lucas’ feelings for one another matter in more ways than maybe they’re even aware of, which proves that the adage of people not being able to see what’s right in front of them is a truth that Daisy and Lucas need to learn before things get out of hand with their drive to one up one another and destroy what might be a relationship full of love instead contempt.

R.S. Grey is definitely my go to author for light-hearted, low angst romantic comedies. Every time I read one of her books, I can’t help but laugh out loud at her characters’ crazy antics and the cheeky banter that Grey infuses into her story lines. Daisy and Lucas are quite the comical pair and for some reason, as I was reading Anything You Can Do, Pat Benatar’s “Love is a Battlefield” kept popping into my head:

“We are strong, no one can tell us we're wrong

Searchin' our hearts for so long

Both of us knowing

Love is a battlefield”

28 years is definitely a long time to be at war, but when it comes to love and hate, those involved have to be the ones to figure out where they truly stand regardless of how they’ve always acted and the harsh words they’ve constantly used to keep their rival at an arm’s length.

After reading the description of this book I was excited to receive an arc. I love a good enemies turn to lovers book and the banter that comes with the characters and for the most part this book did not disappoint. The bickering between Lucas and Daisy provided some hilarious moments in the book and I felt like I couldn't help but relate with them. There was lots of hilarity in the book and it was an easy read that I didn't want to put down because I was excited to read what was happening next and it was an enjoyable story that ended too soon.
What disappointed me about the book was how quickly and easy Lucas and daisy trasitioned from enemies to lovers, I felt there could have been much more of a story if it had been drawn out a bit more and for me the book finished way too quickly.
This brings me to the characters...
I found Lucas much more relatable and likeable than I did Daisy. For me Daisy was actually a little annoying, it's clear from the beginning that Lucas doesn't really see Daisy as an enemy and is in fact in love with her but she is clueless to this, she comes across as very self obsessed and she is too interested in keeping the feud alive and running Lucas out of the medical practice to realise that he was never actually feuding with her at all. For me it was a case of no matter what Lucas did Daisy would twist it in her head because she couldn't see past them being enemies yet after Lucas kisses her she very quickly begins throwing herself at him And from there their relationship develops very quickly.

I would still recommend this book to others, as much as Daisy was not my favourite character the book gave planet of laughs and was still enjoyable, I was just left feeling I wanted more.
A solid 3.5 stars for me.

Anything You Can Do is a hot, hilarious, and addictive enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy about childhood rivals, Daisy Bell and Lucas Thatcher. After years in college, med school, and residency, Daisy is back in Hamilton, Texas, to take over the only family practice in town. She’s worked hard to be where she is, and now that she’ll soon take over Dr. McCormick’s family practice, nothing will get in the way of that. Right before she starts her practice, her best friend and Lucas’ sister, Madeleine, drops the bomb and tells her that not only is Lucas back in town, he’s going to work at the same practice as Daisy.

Daisy always thought she’s the only one taking over the family practice, and she still plans to go that way. Now the two are back at it again, but this time, instead of grades and sports, they’re fighting over the sole ownership of the practice.

The days go on where the two try to one up each other. Like when they were kids, sparks fly when they’re sparring, but this time there’s an almost suffocating sexual tension hovering above them. It only takes 24 hours in a room together to make them give in.

This book left me grinning and laughing like a total whacko! Anything You Can Do had R.S. Grey’s effortless humor and engaging narrative that had me hooked. I loved the long foreplay between the two, and the tension was sizzling!

It reminded me of The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, another story I’ve absolutely loved! The couple’s antics are hilariously absurd, but it was entertaining to see them go head-to-head.

Both MCs were likable, but Lucas Thatcher now has a special place in my heart. He’s confident, smart, and he’s a freaking doctor who wears Clark Kent glasses! Plus he’s sweet, charming, and hot as f*k. This man just made me swoon!

Daisy pretty much goads Lucas into their fights because it’s what she’s known to do her whole life. It was a relief to see her go to her senses about why she’s been fighting Lucas so much.

I was laughing and giggling throughout the story, but the epilogue pretty much killed me with its sweetness! It was so right!

The story was mostly told in Daisy’s POV, but we get a glimpse of Lucas’ thoughts through his unsent e-mails. If you’re looking for a light, fun, and sexy hate-to-love romance with witty banter and amazing sex, you’ll definitely enjoy Anything You Can Do!

A delightful enemies-to-lovers gem. Anything You Can Do is sure to yield continuous smiles with R.S. Grey’s cleverness, a heroine with a zany shrewdness and a very worthy adversary you’ll swoon over.

Lucas Thatcher and Daisy Bell have been competing since day one. That’s right, they were adversaries in anything and everything since the day they were born until they left to college on opposite sides of the country. But now they’re back in their home town and the stakes are higher as they’re both vying for the same job and there isn’t a limit on the arsenal they’ll employ. From plying the staff with coffee and donuts to weakening each other’s defenses with sensual attacks against walls or on kitchen islands. Who will win this battle of the heart?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Enemies-to-lovers romances are highly enjoyable when well written and R.S. Grey’s newest release is addicting with just the right mix of delicious sexual tension, funny and clever banter and charming romance.

Daisy Bell felt triumphant when she came back to her home town knowing that she’d accomplished her ultimate dream to have her own medical practice. She just didn’t count on sharing it with her lifelong nemesis Lucas Thatcher.

He was supposed to stay on his side of the continent. He was supposed to still be the dweeb she used to tease not the smart, charismatic hunk of a man that made her girly parts come alive with his mere presence. I loved them both as they were equally endearing in their own way.

Never taking her eye off the prize though, Daisy formulated a plan to run him out of town for good but it was difficult to put it in effect with the volatile chemistry between them. Even after they explosive attraction got the better of them Daisy’s pride was persistent until she finds out Lucas’ true motivations for always wanting to be her competition and Daisy must decide what her true prize is.

The story’s flow was impeccable. It was almost impossible for me to put the book down and I couldn’t stop smiling from the nonstop crazy fun rivalry between the two to the cute and deliciously steamy moments.

Anything You Can Do is standalone contemporary romance by R.S. Grey. It is amusing and hot. A fantastic rom-com. Told mostly from the heroine’s point of view.

Sheesh does R.S. Grey deliver one annoying book with Anything You Can Do. Yes it's funny and yes it's romantic, but good grief by the time you get to that part, you are on the borderline of wanting to strangle these two characters. I felt like I was reading a book about my fighting kids, not two adults for a while. Then it all starts to make sense...

"I might have provoked Lucas into action over the years, but he was never really the bad guy."

This girl was nuts it the funniest way possible. Daisy and Lucas have known each other since the minute they were born and have been in competition ever since. Now that they are both twenty-seven and the stakes are higher, Daisy has upped her game, much to her own detriment. She is like a sad sitcom star, everything bad that can happen to her does, but at her own hand mind you.

Lucas is back in town to claim what is his. He will stop at nothing to get it, no matter how hard Daisy tries to thwart him. This is something he has waited his whole life for and it's finally in his reach.

Oh the back and forth between these two was painful. A good kind of hurt if you will, but at one point I wanted them to either sh-t or get off the pot already. I wanted some romance, some angst, not tricks and lies...and then I got it. Lucas finally manned the eff up and it was game on!

Now our characters are in uncharted territory and the angst is at an all time high, plus Daisy has finally gone too far and I couldn't wait to see how she would get herself out of this last situation with her heart intact.

The book is well written from dual points of view. There is a little email ditty within the chapters that I thought was cute and worked so well for this story. R.S. Grey did a fantastic job at totally changing my initial reaction towards these characters and I loved them (plus thier crazy families) in the end.

Anything You Can Do was exactly the book I needed at exactly the right time. Humorous, witty, enemies-to-lovers. Just an all-around enjoyable book.

"Roses are red. Daisy is you. I heard you came back, and I did too."

Daisy, a doctor, returns home to Hamilton to start a new job. She's surprised to know that her arch nemesis, Lucas Thatcher, also a doctor has come home too. Daisy is taken aback when she finds out that her enemy will also be working at the same place she is.

"You haven’t changed one bit," he finally says. "Really? Because you’ve gotten much worse." "You're probably right."

It's no secret that Daisy and Lucas don't like each other. Any chance they get they do what they can to get on each other's nerves. The banter between these two is hilarious and their comebacks are just laugh-out-loud funny. And don't even get me started with the tension that is downright obvious. It's not a question of IF they, but it's definitely WHEN will they give-in.

"Can you kill someone with a kiss? I think that’s what he’s doing—slaying me with his mouth."

These two, ugh, Daisy and Lucas I loved them! Seriously though, Dr. Lucas Thatcher was my favorite!! He made me swoon and sigh so many times. Forget Dr. McDreamy and McSteamy, if ever I need mouth-to-mouth I want Dr. Tall NiceAss. *wink*

"I love you, which seems crazy because up until about four days ago, I really thought I hated you. But when you think about it, love and hate aren’t so very different, right? To love someone is to strive to be a better person for them, and isn’t that what our hateful little competition has been about the whole time?"

R.S. Grey knows how to write romantic comedies and she does it to a T. She has a talent of making you laugh hysterically and at the same time swoon and smile big that make your cheeks hurt. R.S. is and will always be one of favorite authors. There isn't a book of hers I've read that I didn't like and no matter what she writes I'm positive I'll enjoy. Anything You Can Do is no different, it was such a fun book to read. I highly recommend it.

Is there anything better than an R.S. Grey novel? They are always sweet, romantic, and so much fun to read. I have loved every single book this author has written, and Anything You Can Do is just another shining example of the excellence that is R.S. Grey.

The chemistry and banter between Daisy and Lucas makes the entire story. From the very beginning, the animosity between them sizzles and crackles with clear affection. The constant picking on and one-upping each other clearly comes from affection, and it is so much fun trying to watch these two bicker and fight their attraction for one another. Both of these characters are incredibly likable as well, which only serves to increase reader investment in the story.

This enemies to lovers romance encompasses everything I love in the trope and everything I love in a R.S. Grey novel. The characters are lovable, and even when they are playing some childish pranks on each other, it is their thing. It is the way the show affection for one another, the way the communicate, and the way their relationship develops and changes throughout the novel. The one aspect of the novel that I completely love is the plot choice made in regards to the conflict. To prevent any spoilers, I am not going to say specifically what is different, but it was refreshing to read a story with a bit of twist on the traditional romance plot line. The ending the R.S. Grey leaves the readers with will have them smiling, because not only does she give readers the HEA they want but she also does it in a way that is true to the characters.

R.S. Grey continues to be one of my favorite romance writers. I love that she takes chances with her writing, that each of her stories are incredibly different. Her voice is unique and fresh, and I never quite know what to expect from each new book that she composes. What I do know, though, is that it will be excellently written, with lovable characters, and my heart will find happiness within the pages of her book.

Lucas Thatcher and Daisy Bell have been sworn enemies since birth. They have lived in a constant state of competition from debate team to report cards. The only break they had from this competition is when they left their hometown to go to college on opposite sides of the country. After each finishes their residencies they are back home and both are aiming to take over McCormick Family Practice and own their own medical practice.

While I overall enjoyed the competition, it got boring for me at times. There were moments that were a bit over the top and some where I just wanted them to move on already. I enjoyed their relationship and how it progressed but was disappointed at how the ending came up super fast and ended, in my opinion, too soon. These are the only reasons I could not make this a 5 star read.

I enjoyed Daisy’s character for the most part but she ended up seeming very childish at times. This made Lucas my main reason for continuing on. He has such a passion that was shown in such unique ways. Their tension makes the heated moments absolutely explode! Hot, steamy, and swoony!

If you’re looking for a tension filled, light hearted, funny read. Go swoop this one up right now!

Few of My Favorite Quotes:

“He tastes like a guilty pleasure, one that will undoubtedly sour once I’m alone again. We are enemies. Foes.”

“If I’m going to go back in that living room and converse with people I haven’t seen since high school, I need to be under the influence. Like an adult.”

“Let me tell you what I should have told you then. For 18 years, I loved you. Now, I’ve loved you for 28. It sounds like quite the accomplishment, but it’s always been so easy for me to love you. Through all the pain, all the conflict, I’ve always known the truth. We cared about each other. Nobody fights over something that doesn’t matter—they just walk away. And so, I’ve always known that if you ever really wanted me to suffer, all you would have to do is just that. Walk away.”

I absolutely ADORE R.S. Grey's stories and this story was no different! I found myself laughing so much I was crying at some points. I ALWAYS read her books in one sitting and never regret that all-nighter tied to that choice. This was absolutely no different and one of my top favorite stories by her!

Don't get me wrong because for me the blurb kind of did worried me because I didn't want the story to be predictable and not up to her typical standards. I know better... Lol. I totally know better!

Daisy is one hard headed and competitive female in this story. She has anxiety to Lucas that we all have and a passion so fierce it'll destroy anything in its way. The humor in those situations isn't lacking either because sometimes she's so focused on her next move she will have you in stitches from her obliviousness to everything around her.

Lucas is kind of like the typical boy that teases a girl relentlessly just because he knows how much he gets to her. Like a little boy on the playground that likes to pull a girl's braids. However, Lucas and Daisy take this competition to levels I wouldn't have ever thought of! You can tell he just does it to egg her on and get to her! Then he unleashes the sexual warfare and you're totally not giggling anymore but fanning yourself and then giggling because Daisy is so awkward and oblivious and then turns around to plot her next move.

The writing style was superb but the cast she wears seems that it was forgotten about a few times in the story and how awkward it could be.

This story was such a perfect Rom-Com to change up what I had been reading! I think everyone can relate to this story on multiple levels, whether it is the competition with someone or the awkwardness of a crush/rival, small town life, etc.

I highly recommend this story along with any of R.S. Grey's!

For those of you who love romantic comedies that are over-the-top and dramatic, Anything You Can Do is perfect for you. It’s ridiculous and hilarious, and if you’re in the mood for a feel-good romance that will have you laughing, this will hit all the right buttons for you. It’s not quite my favorite R.S. Grey novel, but it’s very reminiscent of her previous rom-coms, so fans of her books will definitely enjoy this enemies-to-lovers romance!

Daisy Bell and Lucas Thatcher have been competitors since the moment they were born (which coincidentally was on the same day). They are rivals, arch-nemeses, enemies, and every synonym in between. Their houses were next to each other, they competed against one another in high school, moved across the country away from each other for college, and now, post-medical school and at twenty-eight, Daisy and Lucas have returned home… to work at the same small-town family practice.

Both Lucas and Daisy hilariously try to sabotage the other and make the other look bad so that their boss, Dr. McCormick, will choose only one of them to take over the practice. They do some crazy, exasperating shenanigans as if they were high schoolers all over again. It’s entertaining to say the least, though it doesn’t exactly move the story forward. A majority of the book is spent fighting between Lucas and Daisy, and what I really wanted was for the romance to develop. It’s a fine line between love and hate, but love finally takes over once they get over their denial of it.

There’s nothing crazy deep or emotional in this book – which was exactly what I expected and wanted. It’s pure enjoyable rom-com, the kind of read that will easy take your mind off reality for a short while and give you plenty of laughs and giggles. If you’re a fan of humor and enemies-to-lovers romances, you definitely need to give this book a try.

Loved this book.

*thank you to the author for generously providing an arc**

R.S. Grey's new book is a breath of fresh air. It's fun, flirty and a great read. She manages to make the reader feel like they are part of the town and you are rooting for both sides! If you are looking for a great romantic comedy, Anything You Can Do is the book for you!

Daisy Bell has finally returned to her home town of Hamilton, Texas to take over as the town's one and only doctor. She has no idea that her biggest rival, Lucas Thatcher has come back home also, and for the exact same reason.

Daisy and Lucas have been competing against each other since birth, when Daisy beat him by being born first that day. As the years went by, they were always trying to beat the other and show everyone who was better. So naturally they both decided to become doctors but went to schools in opposite directions. If is no surprise to anyone in Hamilton that the two biggest rivals are back competing once again to be the towns doctor,

Daisy begins from day one to try and win over the towns doctor so that she can become the single owner of the practice. But every step of the day Lucas is there throwing a wrench in her plans. When an unfortunate accident happens the first day, Daisy ends up having to rely on Lucas more than she wants to and begins to come up with a new plan to get rid of him.

Each day though brings them together and sparks attraction between them that neither one of the can ignore. And soon they are faced with how they really feel towards each other and what their next move will be. And is seeing who is better really more important than following your heart and fighting for what you want.

Impeccable and smart writing, amazing characters, and just about EVERYTHING you could ever want in a superb romantic comedy – ANYTHING YOU CAN DO by Author R.S. Grey was one of the BEST ESCAPES I’ve had in a while!

Ms. Grey has created two lovable and hilarious characters that will just sweep you right off your feet. The chemistry, the banter, the comical dialogue was just EVERYTHING in this story! The story flowed perfectly and the enemies-to-lovers angle was brilliant! From the feisty attitude of our heroine and the pure deliciousness of our hero, you couldn’t read a more perfect romance!

“Lucas,” I say, releasing a deep breath and circling the kitchen island toward him. “I’ve asked you politely to have sexy with me. Now I only think it’s fair that you fulfill that request.”

OMG! I wish I had the balls that Daisy has! She was so brilliant! Her attitude towards our Lucas was so hilarious and sassy! I just ate it up! And Lucas Thatcher…wow! He was just scrumptious. I ADORED everything about that man. One minute he would be sweet, the next thing you know he is throwing out dirty talk like it’s his business. OH MY HELL it was HOT!

At the beginning EVERY SINGLE THING about this book screamed READ ME NOW! The cover is spectacular, the blurb just reels you in so easily, and the author’s name at the bottom didn’t hurt either. R.S. Grey has quickly become one of my all time favorite romantic comedy authors. If her name is on it, I’m BUYING IT! No questions asked! ANYTHING YOU CAN DO will leave you with such a big smile on your face! I guarantee you will DEVOUR it and then you will want to start ALL OVER AGAIN!

Daisy and Lucas have known each other for their entire lives. No one really knows what happened to turn them into nemeses but their lifelong war is well known. When they both return home, after eleven years apart, to take over the town medical practice, they're in for the battle of their lives. One that just might lead to love, that is, if they can stop trying to drive the each other crazy first.
I have read just about everything Grey has written and I've loved them all. I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I have to admit, I struggled with this one at the beginning. I had a difficult time connecting with Daisy. She was extremely hard to like at times. While I did enjoy the banter between the two and the tension it created, her desire to be the best, to win at all cost, was infuriating at times, especially when I could see that there was so much more going on. Eventually, we are shown a different side to Daisy and we see the internal conflict that she struggles with. This created a new dynamic between her and Lucas, one that was both entertaining and super sexy. Lucas could definitely give just as good as he got, but there was always something a little different about him and Daisy. I was intrigued to see how everything would play out.
Grey knows how to write romantic comedy. Her witty dialogue, laugh out loud antics, and beyond steamy scenes completely drew me in. While I didn't love some aspects of this story as much as usually do with her books, once I started reading, I was unable to put it down. For me, Lucas completely stole the show in this one. His emails had me teary and his rawness and vulnerability was refreshing. I couldn't get enough of him.

Lucas and Daisy have known each other their entire lives. Literally. They were born on the same day, grew up in the houses next to each other, and have had a feud ongoing ever since. The entire town knows of their competitive hatred for each other, and are shocked to find out that Daisy and Lucas, unbeknownst to them, will be working together at the same family doctor's office in their small town.

After not seeing each other since high school, having gone to different colleges and avoided each other at all costs, you would think these two would be okay working together as adults. Right? Wrong!! The tension is still there! These two immediately start off pranking each other and trying to one-up the other. It's hilariously funny to see the lengths these two will go to to "win" in their own eyes.

I adore the enemies-to-lovers trope, and this was definitely one of my faves! I loved seeing the hatred these two shared for each other turn into all kinds of confusing feelings, making them do the silliest things. And when it starts to heat up, it really does HEAT UP! Holy sparks!

"Can you kill someone with a kiss? I think that’s what he’s doing — slaying me with his mouth."

If you haven't heard me rave about R.S. Grey yet, you probably don't know me. She's one of my newest favorite authors! I read everything this talented woman puts out, and I love it all!! This is definitely one of my faves of hers, right up there with the Summer Games series. A sexy, tension-filled, fun and funny, addicting read that you won't want to miss!

"I dont hate flowers; I hate daisies. They give me hives. They're the flower everyone wants me to be. The world sees me with my pale blonde hair and my big, shinning blue eyes and they want to pat my head and plant me in their gardens. I'm not a daisy. IM a doctor. I never want to be reduced to a daisy, and Lucas knows this better than anyone"

At 3% I already knew I loved this one by R.S. Grey. The story was highly entertaining and oh so super cute, it def gave me the sweet giggly fuzzies. However, it also had some moments brilliance where the dialogue/writing was way more than they seem. It was incredibly well written. I have learned that noteveryone can write romantic comedies, but I think Grey writes them flawlessly. I honestly think this was my most favorite book by Grey. It had every element I love! The angsty dialogue, the flirting, the sexual tension, The fact that we're silent doesn't shock me. E're walking a tightrope. E're holding our breaths. Our weaponized words will only upset the delicate peace we've built. I won't tell if you won't tell. , ..........the yummy sexy scenes.(Seriously, those were AHMAZING!)

Daisy and Lucas are childhood rivals. Their back and forth bickering, glimpses into their past and their ongoing rivalry were really the best part of the book. UGH!! Both leave their small town and 11 years later, they are back to their small town. The pick up right where they left off, but know there are complications. I want to say so much, but I don't want to give it away! Let's just say that the story went exactly where I wanted it and it was perfect. I highly recommend it

Daisy Bell grew up in the small town of Hamilton, Texas. After many years away she moves back home to follow her dream of having her own private practice. Daisy has worked hard to become the best doctor she can be, and now that the local Dr. McCormick is planning to retire soon, she hopes to take over his practice. He owns the only family practice in town.

Daisy is totally blindsided when she finds out she isn't the only doctor hired. She will be working with her nemesis Lucas Thatcher. Lucas has been the bane of her existence since birth. They've despised each other & competed for as long as she can remember. She grew up living next door to Lucas her entire life & hoped to avoid him for a lifetime. She hadn't seen him in about eleven years, but surely they can put aside their childish animosity & be professional. Daisy moved back thinking this practice was as good as hers. She doesn't want to share it, & needs to figure a way to run Lucas out of town.

Daisy is stunned speechless when she comes face to face with the new improved Lucas. He's all man & gorgeous as ever, but they clearly still hate each other. Their rivalry has evolved over the years, & it's soon clear everything is still a competition between them. They declare war and soon things get a little complicated when a hot as hell kiss changes everything. The sexual tension between these two explodes & they start to both have feelings for one another they can't explain or deny. I loved this frenemies to lovers story. It was super hot & Lucas was delicious as ever!

Anything You Can Do by RS Grey

A highly enjoyable enemies to lovers romance with an abundance of truly laugh out loud (and wake up your husband) moments.

Daisy and Lucas were born on the same day and from that day, have been mortal enemies. The line, anything you can do, I can do better absolutely applies to them in every way.

Daisy has returned home to for a position in her local medical practice in the hopes that she'll realize her dream and take over when the current doctor retires. What she hasn't taken into account is Lucas having the same idea and also returning back to Hamilton for a position at the same practice and the same hope to take over the practice. They both use various ploys to try and sway the practice staff to their side and it was so much fun. The bickering and antics that ensued throughout the book were highly entertaining and made for a really enjoyable read.

So having said all this, why wasn't it a five star read? Simply because Daisy got on my nerves more often than not. She was a tad too immature, too tunnel-visioned, too focused on her childish competition to make her truly and unforgivably likable. Lucas on the other hand was perfection. He had the personality, good looks, and kind heart that made him the ultimate book boyfriend, particularly when you add in that he was willing to do whatever it would take to make Daisy happy.

Another fantastic book by R.S. Grey!! Anything You Can Do is filled with humor, passion, pranks & feel good moments that will make your heart melt.

Daisy is an absolute gem!! She made my laugh out loud so many time throughout this book that I lost count after a while. Daisy has finally come home after being gone for years and she expects life to be good, but she gets a rude awakening when she receives some Daisies from her arch enemy. Daisy's reaction when she got the flowers made me seriously wonder if the world was going to end, that is how tragic it was for her. Lucas on the other hand was thrilled to be back in town with Daisy and work side by side with her. Okay, seriously, Lucas, he is one swoon worthy man. Even when he was playing some pranks on Daisy, he did it with class and I could never be mad at him, just laugh. I loved how when these two characters were in a room together, you could feel their energy and connection, and I kind of wanted to smack daisy upside the head and tell her to open her eyes. The passion between these two was off the charts HOT and I felt like R.S. Grey did a fantastic job with this story.

I loved watching Daisy's character grow and when the truth comes out about everything, I was so happy that Daisy didn't run. She fought for Lucas and I am in awe of Lucas for what he has gone through all of these years. I truly enjoyed this book and seriously, I laughed so much and swooned so hard. I am excited to see what R.S. Grey comes out with next!!

You know that awkward feeling you get when watching a classic 90s/00s rom-com? You know, the feelings that turn warm and fuzzy at the end?

Think Never Been Kissed, 10 Things I Hate About You, You've Got Mail, How To Lose a Guy in Ten Days, American Pie....

THAT is what it was like reading this book!

I swear, I cringed one chapter and swooned the next.

The banter, the pranks, the reasons, the whys, the past, the present, the fights, the real background. It was all adorable and wrapped up in a neat little bow. But there were shenanigans, there was deception, there was trickery and one-upmanship at foot.

Lucas appeared unruffled but when seeing the story from his POV was eye opening and made me just. fall. in. love. I was a goner.

This is the best book by RS Grey I have read. More laugh out loud moments than any other and the chemistry between Lucas and Daisy was HOT HOT HOT!! Even if Daisy was constantly fighting her feelings for Lucas.

"When his hands start to tug my shirt up across my stomach and ribs, I justify it because cotton is truly a difficult fiber to kiss in. My jean shorts? Those are in the way too."

Daisy's mom is the atypical embarrassing mother, I adored her. My favourite non-main character has to go to Gary. I laughed SO SO HARD for the few pages he was involved in the story. One of the best scenes EVER!

"Note to self: Lucas is not in the mood for games. Just ask Gary."

A first read from this author, and I enjoyed it. It did take me a bit longer in the beginning to get into it. Daisy really just seemed a little psychotic, self centered, and overly dramatic. But, I ended up liking her character quite a bit. Lucas was of course super hot, and from the start it was pretty obvious he had been in love with her since the beginning. Guys just don’t put forth that sort of effort into a girl that they hate.

My only disappointment was that, although, I found the story cute, I didn’t find it as hilarious as all the other reviews stated. I know I’m in the minority, it’s just my opinion.

I loved that neither one of them could ever stomach being with anyone else long enough for it to be serious. Even if Daisy did hate Lucas for most of the book, she had been obsessed with him her whole life. The sexual tension was through the roof, and when they did start fooling around it was crazy hot.

Both of their families were both adorable. I enjoyed the relationship Daisy had with her mother. The epilogue was not the usual, but very cute. I won’t ruin it but I loved the ending of this book! I would have liked more chapters from Lucas’s POV. But the few were good.

Would definitely recommend! I have immediately started reading R.S. Grey’s A Place In The Sun, and absolutely love the story already!

HEA, duel POV, no cheating, no triggers.

I really had so much from reading Anything you can do. It was such a fun, quirky, laugh out loud, hot & sexy read.

Book Boyfriend alert, calling Doctor Hottie aka Lucas Thatcher. Oh boy when the hero is described as a Herny Cavill look a like well it's time to start flipping pages.

Doctor Daisy Bell is back in her hometown Hamilton, Texas hoping to slide into the role of owner of the only family practice in town. Little does Daisy know her arch nemesis Lucas is back and vying for the same position. Daisy decides it's time to one up Lucas and claim what she feels is hers. Reverting back to old antics & making sure she's competition ready she goes full force trying to ensure that Lucas leaves town as quickly as he returned.

"I am Daisy Bell, rival to Lucas Thatcher, and the weight of carrying around that hatred has started to wear on me."

Lucas isn't easily swayed by Daisy's determination to get him out of the way and if she were smart she'd see that he isn't competing with her for the practice. What Lucas wants is what he's always wanted: Her. Daisy is too focused on past and her quest to rid herself of him that she doesn't see what's been in front of her the whole time.

This was such a fantastic, light hearted read with a very delightful HEA.

Daisy has spent the majority of her life trying to one up her childhood rival Lucas Thatcher. When they’re forced to work together back in their small hometown, the war morphs into something Daisy isn’t expecting at all. She soon realizes that her obsession with loathing Lucas and her focus that part of her identity lies with being Lucas’ rival, is unhealthy. That by making that her focus, she’s missed out on having a life.

I’m so glad I gave R.S. Grey another shot and read this book, because I really really enjoyed it. Daisy was hilarious. Her witty inner monologues were great and had me seriously laughing out loud. I read it quickly as I had trouble putting it down. Daisy and Lucas were great together, once Daisy finally got her head out of the ground and woke up to what was around her! Lucas of course is wonderful. Although some of his actions were a bit confusing, you realize he was probably just trying to protect himself to a certain extent. (Sorry if that’s vague, don’t want to give too much away!)

I connected with Daisy on a few aspects of her life. While she and I are the same age, she is much further along in her career. However, I definitely connected with her when she referred to her feelings of being behind in life. I know there isn’t a set timeline one must accomplish by a certain date, but sometimes it feels like that. Especially when everyone of similar age around you have established careers and relationships. So, I easily knew where Daisy was coming from.

“My biggest commitment so far is buying a Roomba. How is this possible? How am I so behind?”

“By 28, I really should have things figured out. I should have built a well-rounded life for myself, but in actuality, I have been stuck in the same loop for nearly three decades.”

So, there’s a particular reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars. I felt it was too similar to a book I read not too long ago. Now, I haven’t read that many enemies-to-lovers books, so I’m not sure if the following criticism is a fair one or not. The book I’m referring to is The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. It is also a colleague enemies-to-lovers story. In all honesty, I felt like Anything You Can Do was really similar to it. Almost too similar. I don’t know if what I found similar between the two books are things that are typical of the enemies-to-lovers trope or not. Things like unrequited love, both after the same job, heroines that are extremely career-driven with unique senses of humor. Are those things typical in hate to love books, or did these two authors just happen to write similar stories? I don’t know. (Feel free to chime in below if you have any input on this.)

In the book there are some e-mails from Lucas referenced and printed. I didn’t think the e-mails were necessary. They felt out of place, especially since there were only like three of them. I feel like it would have been better if the e-mails had had a bigger role (like more of them), or if they had just been cut from the book altogether.

Overall, I really did enjoy it. It was funny, sweet, and I thought the ending was great. Pick it up if you need a fun, quick read that will put a smile on your face.

I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
