This was my first Wodehouse book. While I did enjoy it, it didn't leave me rushing to read another. I do expect though to read more of them when I'm in a certain mood for a quick, witty, comfy read.

The book is excellent--witty, funny, and Wodehouse has a distinct and beautiful writing style. It holds up well and it keeps fresh that wonderful English sense of humor. I am only sorry I did not read it sooner.

One of the most amusing authors I have ever read. Although his stories are dated, and many of the references would only be recognized by older readers who are familiar with English references, those who enjoy clever plots will enjoy him.
Going to Pieces without Falling Apart - A Buddhist Perspective on Wholeness :: 10 Secrets to a Happier Life - Parkinson's Treatment :: Step-by-Step Instructions for Many Popular 3-D Puzzles :: Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics - A 10% Happier How-to Book :: Real Murders (Aurora Teagarden Book 1)

This is a great read. Love the Wodehouse sense of humor. If you like the understated style of British humor, you will love this book. Bertie Wooster, forever muddled, never gets anything right. His butler Jeeves always bails him out, but not usually the way Bertie would prefer.

There were quite a few typos in this version which minimized my enjoyment of reading it. I find it disruptive to have a break in the words making sense so I have to figure out what it should be before I get back into the story.

Funny but not as engaging as I would have thought, perhaps due to the very droll and understated nature of the book. Also, coming at it from a 21st century perspective, it is hard to take Jeeves being subserviant to the obvioius dunce that Bertie Wooster is. I know that is where the humor comes from in the stories though and as i was able to suspend my disbelief, the story was more enjoyable, especially the way Jeeves so deftly resolves all the damages Bertie has caused by his "help" throughout the story.

This is classic P.G. Wodehouse, and everyone who likes his stuff will like this book. However, not all the stories are Bertie Wooster & Jeeves; and personally, I find silly twits by themselves, unredeemed by Jeeves, to become a bit tiresome after a time.
But pleasant, light entertainment.
