A sort of autobiography by the inimitable Michael Moore, this book is a great read. Moore describes periods in his life that helped him to become the man of the people that he is today. Here Comes Trouble: Stories from My Life It grabbed my attention from the first page and I always had trouble putting it down. Highly recommended!

Having just finished this book, I long for more. Michael Moore goes from his Michigan boyhood to unlikely, but plausible, adventures around the world. Each chapter is a separate slice of his life from recently being protected by Navy Seals as bodyguards to having Bobby Kennedy helping him as a lost boy in Washington, D.C.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who longs for something deep, humorous, heartfelt and inspiring. I've recommended it to parents to share with their kids -- it's truly a tale of how one can be empowered simply by doing the right thing.

I have always liked Michael Moore. I typically agree with his politics and I find him to be a good story teller. This is his autobiography and I think it's the best thing he has written. Touching and funny.

ANOTHER BELL-RINGER BOOK THAT IS WRITTEN TO WARN THE CLUELESS PUBLIC OF THE FATE AHEAD OF US IF WE CONTINUE TO IGNORE THE DUMMING OF AMERICA BY THE PRIVIGED FEW. IN THIS BOOK THE GENIUS OF MR. MOORE'S ABILITY TO COMPREHEND POLITICS, POWER, AND GREED IS INFUSED WITH BIOGRAHICAL INFORMATION OF HIS LIFE AND THE ANIMOSITY HE IS FORCED TO DEAL WITH. THE PAUL RIVERE OF AUTHORS AND FILM MAKERS HAS WRITTEN ANOTHER POWERFULL BOOK TO HELP WAKE US UP.

I was always impressed with Michael Moore's work. But after reading this book, I'm more in awe of the person Michael Moore is and I respect how much he has sacrificed by following his heart and exposing the truth. My favorite part was when he entered the speech writing contest by the Elks and the impact it had. Oh and also when he was 17 and decided to run for school board to make changes in his school.

I felt it was a great book ... one that was hard to put down. Michael Moore is a true American hero.

Whether or not you agree with Michael Moore's politics, this book is worth reading. I was hooked from start to finish, and I will definitely recommend it to others.

Michael opens himself up in this book. He talks about the saddest moments in his life, the dangerous moments, the fun moments, the lustful moments, the defiant moments, and he talks about the best moments. Michael gives us everything, which includes the good and the bad. He openly admits when he made mistakes, when he felt weak, and when he felt hopeless. These can be very hard things to admit, especially when they're on paper permanently. But he also gives us his triumphs, and I found myself cheering at moments. I also found myself crying at other moments. I was laughing more times than I can count.

I've always enjoyed Michael's perspectives even if I didn't always agree with them. Because of this book, I now respect and understand them. This book is definitely worthy a read.

Just some fantastic stories from a heroic and courageous fellow. This really gives insight and first hand account to someone from Canada what was really going on in the USA the past few decades and the decline of democracy.

Great job Michael! I look forward to your next project!

Michael Moore's newest book "Here Comes Trouble" is a fascinating recount of episodes from his amazing life experiences with several revelations that sound like more than just coincidences. But these eye-opening segments are indicative of Mike's ability to be in the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time as if he were destined to become the activist that he is now. I expect Mike has many more "stories" and I anxiously await his next book "Here Comes Moore Trouble" (just a suggestion for the title, Mike).

People either love or hate Michael Moore. It seems no one is ever on the fence about him. Here in Flint, a lot of people still hold a grudge against him for what they feel was making Flint look bad in his film, "Roger and Me." I think those people missed the point of the film and, perhaps, just don't "get" Moore. I remember well his newspaper, "The Flint Voice" (later "The Michigan Voice"). Many, especially the city's cheerleaders, hated the newspaper, but others of us were avid readers.

I personally liked his book, "Here Comes Trouble" very much, not for the humor (which was somewhat adolescent for my taste), but for the candid look at the experiences that made Michael Moore, the muckraker journalist and film maker, who he is, and at the contributions he has made to exposing unfair and, often, illegal conduct on the part of government and industry.

I'm always surprised at the vitriolic reaction many people have to Moore, Hedges and the like. I, for one, am grateful for such people and appreciate the courage it takes to expose real and potential injustice in the political and social arenas.

This book is touching, funny and important. Michael is a true American hero who is a talented writer and film maker. His courage is astounding in a county that professes free speech. Imagine his life being threatened because of a movie made about gun control or a movie made supporting universal health care or a movie made about corporate power. This book is an insight into how his point of view was developed. It's personal, entertaining and delivers a message about the strength of one mans' voice.

Moore's stories are pertinent today, especially the last two. One dates the causes for today's financial disasters to a meeting of bigwigs in Mexico in the 1980's where the dismantling of all U.S. industry was planned.

Michael Moore took me back into my own childhood as he described growing up in his book. I also remember when he accepted his award and his statement against the war and even at that time, I saw him as a hero. Down to earth, as always, Michael Moore, to me, in reviewing his life, is an example of what I like to think most Americans are at heart. I want to thank him for sharing his life with the rest of us.

This is a great book, an autobiography that includes his early life, the problems he had when he spoke the truth that the one percnt didn't want you to know. How he needed protection from people that wanted to shut him up, throw him off a clif. I would urge everyone to buy this book, and learn what was really going on. Again, you can buy this book from the store for a reasonable price.

I suggest Michael Moore critics read this wonderful book. You will see what influenced him into becoming the leader he is today. Laugh outloud funny in places; soul-searching, thought provoking in others.

With the one hour drive (one-way) into work, audiobooks are a MUST HAVE to help maintain my sanity and to keep me alert during the drive. I've always admired Michael's brilliance with expression, either through his infamous films, always-inspiring books, or letters he posts on his website. Of all his works, this is his best yet.

Thank you, Michael, for having made such a powerful, positive difference for us all.

Michael Moore has written a wonderfully humorous account of his growing up in Michigan. He writes a very honest portrayal of his perceptions, his family and his community. He has paid a terrific price for standing for the truth and marked out a path of inspiration for conscientious citizens to follow. I'll be forever indebted to Michael Moore for being a very lonely crusader for exposing injustice in America! BRAVO MICHAEL!
