Started reading and couldn't put it down. Read it on my kindle. 12 hours and 14 pages of notes later, I started back through it again. Procrastination has buried many of souls, but this book renews your spirit and demands that you get out and make a difference. I will be buying and handing out this book out to several of my current and future clients and friends.

This a phenomenal book and should be required reading for all humans!! Rory has wisdom beyond his years.

Simple. Challenging. Eye Opening. The keys to "Success" - whatever you deem success to be - are contained within this book. Read it. Re-read it. Repeat.

At certain points Vaden gives the reader a good motivational speech. Overall though it reads like a loose collection of blog posts. That makes it easy to pick up after not reading for a while, but it also makes it feel pretty light. He also brings up his affiliate marketing company Southwest a lot -- to the point where joining them almost sounds like the big takeaway from the book

Rory tackles the unsexiest foundation of successful entrepreneurship in a way that shifted my mental and emotional attitude around 'hard work' and what is actually needed to succeed in anything. Thanks Rory.

I've read quite a few business/success books, and this was above average. I first found this book after coming across the author's short video hypothesizing the following: "Success is never owned; it is only rented, and the rent is due every day."

I enjoyed this book. Its theme was predictable - "do the hard things others aren't willing to do" - but it had a handful of good soundbites I'll likely remember.

This would have been a solid 4 stars for me, but I found the numerous references to religion (including an entire chapter on faith) to be distracting and out of place in a book on professional success.

If you're looking for a breakthrough in taking action, I recommend this book. If you're looking to shift the way work occurs to you, read this book. If you're looking for some clarity and perspective on the matter of living a balanced life, read this book. That is my humble opinion. Enjoy.

This book reminded me of those basics in life that will keep you growing and going. If I practice what I learned here (which I have started doing already) I will receive the results in my life I hope for.

Thank You Rory Vaden for writing this book! What a great motivator to get me to quit taking the easy route and instead start taking the stairs. Too many personal development books are flowery and nice and tell you what you want to hear. Rory tells you what you need to hear. Success takes hard work!

The principles in this book have helped to transform my life! I highly recommend this book! My college daughter and her friend are reading this too. Wow, if only I could have gotten these principles when I was younger!

What a fresh surprise to see someone teaching personal responsibility in a very positive and encouraging way. I saw the author speak at a conference several years back and was very impressed. Now that I have read his book, I am impressed even more so.
