Books 1-4 (The David Wolf Series Box Set) - The David Wolf Mystery Thriller Series

The characters were believable and the stories compelling enough that I read straight through in a few days. The only thing that bothered me were the over-the-top physical descriptions of all the women. Almost embarrassingly silly in the age of #MeToo.

The key to a great story is caring about what happens to the characters. I love David Wolf and I wish he was my sheriff, brother, friend! Trust worthy and reliable. This action packed series, is one I will enjoy from now on!

The David Wolf series is well written full of interesting twists in the stories. The stories include insights in the young sheriff as he pieces together the evidence. Great way to spend an afternoon reading mysteries.

There are so many authors and novels in this genre out there, but Jeff Carson has the rare ability to describe scenes and create fast paced drama and mystery without cliche. His imagination enables him to bring the reader into the story and hold them there. Highly recommended.

New author for me, never sure what to expect. Got discount on 4 book series so tried it out.

Decent stories, well defined quality characters and pretty well written. As long as decent prices will read from the author anytime.

I really had a great time reading this set of books. The character Dave Wolf is headstrong and driven, the brains of the Rocky Points Sheriff Department. I love how the deputies interact with Wolf. The danger, the intrigue and imagination that goes into these stories is amazing. Along with starting out with a bang, the humor also lands these stories high on my list of favorites

Just discovered this author and am enjoying reading the David Wolf Series 1-4. I had the sample on Kindle and decided I had to have it. Easy reading with unexpected intensely thrilling moments keep you on the edge of your chair. James Patterson, I’ve found a new book companion.

I would like to recommend this book to everyone who wants to read a very interesting and exciting story where the action never stops. I have found that these books are very hard to put down. I will be looking forward to reading the next book from this author.

I’m on book 7 of this series and can’t wait to start #8!! This author is one of the best as far as the descriptive language and twists & turns in the thrillers he authors!! Addictive reading?

Really enjoyed the main character Sheriff Wolf, terrific setting unique characters. Great descriptions of the atmosphere, when reading I would become immersed and expect to be in a blizzard here in the middle of summer! Good plot twists and believable detective work! Looking forward to more...

I didn't have high expectations when I started the Four-book set but Jeff Carson has introduced me to a very readable and enjoyable series. He builds solid characters and realistic plot lines. Glad there are seven more in the series!

The series provides suspense and mystery, in addition to action. The stories are well-developed as are the characters. The author effectively keeps the reader interested and guessing what the outcomes will be.

Have enjoyed reading the series. The books improved after the first one so that I am now up to the last book. I have been binge reading. I like all of characters, as in life, none of them are perfect. Looking forward to the next book.

THE SERIES IS NOT BAD, BUT THE COMPARISON TO THE LONGMIRE BOOKS DOES IT A DISSERVICE. IT IS ABOUT A SHERIFF WITH A MILITARY BACKGROUND AND SET IN COLORADO. THAT IS ABOUT IT. I READ THE FIRST FOUR AS A SET. AGAIN, NOT BAD BUT I DOUBT I WILL SPEND TIME WITH ANY OF THE OTHERS.

I very much liked the books and was really anxious to go onto the next book. They were clever with entertaining characters. Wolf is a very likable guy that I would think appeals to a lot of people. The books kept me reading for hours and I look forward to more of these stories.

This line of detective stories have interesting plots. Good Sunday afternoon reading. Very entertaining, although not great literature. Each book is a complete story, not requiring a sequel book, which I appreciate.

Jeff Carson writes fantastic books. They are filled with mystery, adventure and suspense. You will find yourself trying to figure out what will happen next. I love C J Box and was excited to find this author.

I am from Golden, Colorado, so I enjoy reading about the different places in the book, that I have visited. Aside from that, these were great reads, they kept me in total suspense trying t figure out who the bad guy was! Recommend reading them. Getting ready to enjoy the next four! Must read! Awesome set of books! Really well written characters in this action-drama-suspense series of books! Well developed plot, smooth transitions and realistic storylines. Looking forward to the next David Wolf series!

What great reads , just finished books 1-4 and am so happy to have more to read. The characters are unique and intriguing, you can almost see the area where the action takes place and there is plenty of action. Don't pas these books up. I am kind of snobby with my mysteries and these are super!

Read this set, you will be hooked after the first book, looking forward to reading the rest of his books. I highly recommend him if you like to read mysteries, I put him up there with James Patterson.
